  1. Just an update on this: with the recent game update I'm still experiencing this freeze. Not only that, now its with -wait for it- ALL DLC MOUNTS. Even the ones from the spoils dlcs. I've removed mods, deleted the folder from the update files, even deleted and reinstalled mod manager and its the same story all around. I even made a new file and tried it and same story. I'm thinking of submitting a ticket to the company if anything else at this point.
  2. Did some fiddling and now it seems like everything from the Deluxe Edition is hecking up. Maybe I just need to delete the files and have them reinstall ugh
  3. whelp, just ran the game with all mods disabled and even removed mod manager for good measure and the freeze remains the same. At least I know for sure it's not mod related at this point. I might have to wait for a new patch unless someone else is experiencing similar issues at this point. Not sure if it was caused by the latest patch or not. I cant remember if the last time I tried out the Red Hart was before or after the latest patch dropped. I can live without having it as my mount but now Im just curious as to what's causing this freeze. Windows just gives me this + System - Provider [ Name] Windows Error Reporting - EventID 1001 [ Qualifiers] 0 Level 4 Task 0 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2015-07-27T01:17:13.000000000Z EventRecordID 6315 Channel Application Computer MemeMachine Security - EventData 0 AppHangB1 Not available 0 DragonAgeInquisition.exe 1.0.0.0 558da360 dab9 6144 C:\Users\x\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC92E.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\xAppData\Local\Temp\WERCB70.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\Users\x\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Critical_DragonAgeInquisi_0e29a5e1806bec3f78ccbc943fca44ee71497_01ffcf65 0 346bef51-33fd-11e5-8624-3cd92b5f0725 1
  4. So I've recently accumulated a game-crashing glitch. Whenever the Red Hart is set as my mount, if I call it on the frield my game instantly stops responding and I have to close it out via task manager. It does this in all regions with all characters. All other mounts work normally (even other DLC mounts such as the barder charger and the bog unicorn). I've repaired game, used previous saves, done everything I can think of with no change. Anyone else have this issue? I'm running the latest patch, latest version of DAI mod manager These are the mods I have installed currently though none of them should affect mounts.
  5. Im sure you can find a texture replacer for the horses that makes them look better, but as far as the bouncing issues goes I think that falls in the category of bone physics which is a bit of a tricky area. Porting horses directly from Oblivion to Skyrim would still have them rely on the skeleton of the Skyrim horses so that wouldn't fix any of the bouncing or animation. You'd be needing a complete overhaul of mount control/skeleton/ai. It would probably be a lot more work than anyone would be willing to put into for a game as old as Skyrim (aged like a fine meme).
  6. Hope this doesn't make me sound like a jerk, but you could just try and find a game trainer/engine that gives you infinite health/atk power. I won't link any because Im not sure if that's against TOS but you can find plenty out there.
  7. Would it be possible to add some eyewear choices to Inquisition? I don't know if it's possible to add some classified as helmets but still allow to show hair and such. But then would they be wearable by Qunari? I don't know. I thought I could throw the idea out there and see if anyone has tried it yet.
  8. /doesn't want to start something/ I'm not going to buy a console for just one game. :3
  9. I've been eying this game since it was announced. I don't have a PS3 or an Xbox (is it for the Xbox? I dunno - don't care) and was hoping to see it out for PC. It seems all the good games come out for PC, but only few of the great games. (Yep - still waiting for Bayonetta....still waiting...)
  10. Sadly no - it appears the MMO ZeniMax had annouced was an Elder Scrolls one. It smells like Final Fantasy XIV...but it's a bit early to be sure just yet.
  11. From past experiences, this can either go horribly wrong or horribly right. If it goes horribly wrong, Elder Scrolls dies. If it goes horribly right, they'll only make expansions for the MMO and no more single player RPGs. Although, on the bright side, since ZeniMax is leading the MMO design, maybe Bethesda will still work on the single player games, right? ...right? >has no interest in playing any MMO games ever, be they Elder Scrolls or not<
  12. Okay, so I've learned how to add eyes and how to make characters have two different eye colors. Now, I just need to learn how to make glow maps for them. :/ I know how to add them in the CK I think (under textureset select the texture and add a glow map?) but I'm not sure what the glow map texture should look like. Could someone give me maybe a brief tutorial or maybe an example of a glow dds file so I can see what the heck I'm suppose to do? Any help would be appreciated. xP (side note - how do I make custom eyes usable by both the race and their vampire counterparts?)
  13. I'm not sure how to fix the problem with the face and tat colors not appearing. I think that might be a problem in NPC editor itself not wanting to play nice with custom colors. :/ Are the extra tints that you are using inside a BSA file? If so, you might need to extract them in order for the editor to read them - again, I've never used NPC editor before and really have no idea how it runs. xD You may have better luck posting this problem on the mod's thread or pm-ing the author?
  14. Thanks for the link - I have a fun new toy to play with now, hehehe!
  15. I've never used the NPC editor, so I cannot say that I am familiar with anything here. :/ The only thing I can think of do get the eyes to work is to find the duplicated eye entry and check that the texture is connected correctly when you open the editor. In order to add new textures to Skyrim you actually have to add them to a list of all the textures in game and then add the entry that connects that texture to race/mesh/blah. When it duplicates the entries, it's most likely not duplicating the actual texture entries, which you might have to add manually. I'm not sure what is causing the error. Which mod do you have marked as the active mod? (Like, you select some but only one is active)
  16. Are you talking about the eyes included with the Univision Face? [Eye pic]
  17. Hmm. I don't run any high resolution mods, but I do run the game with a few mods and on highest settings with only three crashes since I've got the game last year. My specs: HP model h8 - 1000z (2011) AMD Phenom II X4 840T (2.90 GHz) 6 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 GPU 2 GB A new GPU would help, but you might want some more memory as well. The newer updates make Skyrim 4GB aware, but you won't get to use them all since Windows uses like 1.5 or more. I've heard some people saying they have troubled with some Radeon GPUs. I suggest a NVIDIA one since their recent updates are made with Skyrim specifically in mind.
  18. I really want to add some glowing options for my eye sets, but I have NO EARTHLY CLUE how to work glow maps in Skyrim. Is there a tutorial floating around somewhere that could point me in the right direction? Some of these eyes BEG to be glowing. Thanks in advance.
  19. I would. You should include anything new that you added to the game (in the correct file paths, of course). Also, a readme would be good, one that include install instructions and other info (a good generator here - it was made with Oblivion in mind so you might need to do some creative editing, but it covers the basics) and maybe some screenshots that include the location. If you miss something, you can always re-upload. If you are unsure about anything, you can ask for some users to beta test before the release.
  20. I've never used tfc 0. tfc 1 will freeze everything. It's especially handy for screenshots of dragons in mid-flight.
  21. Just to let you know, there is a mod on the Steam Workshop now called SkyRadio or something (it's on the second page right now) that allows you to add up to 100 of your own songs and have them played through this radio you carry around. It sounds similar to the Oblivion headphones mod that I mentioned - will be taking a look at it.
  22. I highly doubt that would be the least bit practical. For instance - say you scanned a marble. A marble is a perfectly round object in our 3D world. Now, you import it into a videogame which is, technically, a 2D world with an image of something 3D in it. In the game world, objects are made of pixels. Pixels are square. Even a round object in that game world is made up of several squares - the more squares, the rounder it looks. You try to put an object that is perfectly round into that world and you essentially screw with it. It needs too many pixels in order to project its roundness. Your GPU dies and you need a new computer. You are MUCH better off modeling it yourself. :/
  23. I dunno if you use the "TFC 1" command or not - it will freeze time and still allow you to move the camera. That way, you can trigger the attack, open the console and type in "TFC 1" and it will freeze you in mid-swing while still allowing you to rotate the camera wherever you please. For close-ups, I recently discovered that changing the field of view will allow for much better close-ups. "fov 25" seems to be the sweet-spot for up close face pics - at least it is for me.
  24. This is why it's difficult to be someone who plays a female character who is a tank. This is the main reason why I have yet to download any body mods for Skyrim - the only reason I would is for armor mods and all the female armor mods are...well, less protective than I would like. This plays a big part in me beginning to learn how to create meshes/textures now - I need armor that's ARMOR, yah? (Then again, you'll never see what I create in the "hot files" section. I can see the first comment now: "CAN U MAK A BIG BEWBS VERSION LOL1?") I guess the reason why most of the hot-chick armor for Oblivion was more accepted than the ones coming out for Skyrim was that Oblivion had very few armor/robe/clothing choices. Thankfully, Skyrim has quite a few. Maybe that's why I'm not as bothered about these particular mods as others seem to be. Sure, I'd rather seem some more female-tank armor, but I'm not going to flame everyone who has a mod showing a lot of skin. They did put a lot of effort into it, whether or not it suits my tastes.
