  1. I know there are a ton of vault like player homes and buildings out there but I could never find something that I considered "safe" enough to house all the dangerous and powerful items I gather. After rewatching the original Thor movie yesterday I thought about Odin's Vault in Asgard. I then thought well what if there was a smallish vault in Sovngard where i could store all those items and I had a power granted to me after I killed Alduin which allowed me to return there so I could fill up said vault? There are plenty of spots in the Grand Hall where a door could be placed and I cannot think of a safer place to guard all those masks, Black Books and Daedric items etc. A dozen mannequins and a couple dozen weapon racks and shield racks along with a few bare shelves and book shelves. Thats it really. If I could do it myself I would but I cant sooo.....anyone?
  2. I will have a look around and get back to you because I have seen ( and I believe even used ) a mod with armor almost identical to this Try this one, just without the helmet of course - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22407 Also check out the Death Knight of Tamriel on Steam and its Author who has a whole bunch of armor mods. Hopefully you will get someone to make this one, its quite cool .
  3. If you want it visually better then there is the obvious Immersive College of Winterhold mod which is very nice indeed and makes the place FAR more attractive and "migicy". There are also TONS of mods which add NPC's to the college, some with Quests and some just act as merchants etc but if you use enough of them the place fills up quite nicely. Most mods that touch the college tend to have patches for Immersive Colege too as it is a very popular mod. Bash patch the whole lot into a single esp and it should be very close to what you want.
  4. Here's a CRAZY idea...open up the damn filters tab and tell it to turn off skimpy, nude and sexualised content. VOILA!!!! no more nudes in your precious Armour Category
  5. I looked all over and couldnt find a mod that did this but if one exists PLEASE give me a slap and send me to specsavers. As the title says I am looking for a mod that makes the forsworn wear Fur Armor instead of their usual attire. With skyrims cold climate I have always felt that the Forsworn would likely freeze to death given how little they wear. Fur armor would be much better and would still give them that rough wild look they need, Their hood with the antlers is about the only piece they have that look any way warm so that is fine but the rest needs to be changed in my opinion. And so I am asking if anyone would like to take on this little project. I would do it myself but my modding talents are VERY limited.
  6. Yes a lot of ppl seem to have issues with NMM but personally I prefer it for its simplicity. This is the first issue i have ever had with it over the last 3-4 years using it. Fixing the problem was easy as I just had to redownload it and not update to the latest version. everything is back working just fine now. I have letft a message on github about the issue I had (not the only one it seems either) so hopefully they can fix it on the next update. I really didn't think that ENBoost could cause such an issue but it was the only change I remembered making at the time which is why I asked the question. Totally forgot about the NMM update
  7. Thanks for the suggestion and I almost went to do that but I have since discovered that the problem is with NMM. it would seem I installed EnBoost the same night that NMM updated to its latest version and the new version is messed up. Any mod not active before the update and any mod downloaded after it simply do not work. I even tried downloading a couple of simple texture mods and after starting the game they did not appear in game. When I went back out and open NMM the mods were not active in my list. it is almost like NMM became frozen in time when it updated and wont allow anything new. Manual downloads might work but I avoid them like the plague as I generally mess them up anyway. I guess I will just have to wait for the next update and hope it gets fixed. Either that or re-install it. At least I know what the problem is now.
  8. There is actually an Alternate Start add-on which adds in a number of extra starts to the mod. A couple of them are very similar to what you seem to be asking for but may not be as grand as you may want. I don't know if its the main mods itself or the add-on but one of them involves your escaping from the Thalmor prison and is VERY hard to do as you are completely unarmed and un-armoured so they can kill you with just a couple of hits.
  9. surprised nobody responded to this even it was just to be sarcastic. well I will just ask the obvious anyway but I promise it is not out of sarcasm. Are you aware that if you sell your elder scroll to the Librarian he will put it there himself, that it is in fact a part of the game and not a mod? I am going on the assumption that perhaps you may never have actually sold it to him before and maybe did so recently for the first time. This game is so huge that even after years of play we can still find something new.
  10. I have had a suddn problem with a few mods suddenly not working and I am trying to figure out why. The only change I made to my game was the addition of the EnBoost. I had downloaded no new mods The mods in question are Astral merchant and Chest, AddItemMenu and Beinz Portables. All of these mods just no longer work at all. AddItemMenu no longer adds its functions into my inventory at the start of the game. Astral books are still buyable and still add their powers when I read them but when I activate the powers nothing happens. And Portables simply does not appear in my mcm menu anymore. I had not used Portables for quite some time but activated it just after I installed EnBoost to use in a new playthrough. it had worked perfectly a couple of months ago. What I'm wondering is if one of the changes that you need to make to ini files in order to use the EnBoost could conflict with these mods. Has anyone else had any such issues?
  11. Seriously all the people complaining about the fact that Nexus's security must be really bad for this to happen need to get a grip on reality. There is NO SUCH THING as a fully secure site. When you realise that even the worlds greatest nations top Government and Military computers get hacked on a daily basis you might come to understand that hackers will always find a way in. Its just a game to these people and they play to win. If you don't want personal info to be abused then don't put it online in the first place. I have been playing online games for years and have been a member of hundreds of sites since I got my first computer almost 20 years ago and I will tell you here and now that NOBODY knows my real name or where I live because it does not exist online. Create a fake online personality with its own email and use that for everything and you will never have to worry.
  12. I like to compare Skyrim to Stronghold 2. They focused so much on improving the look of the game that they shorted themselves on the story that the older games had. However I still think skyrim is an amazing game with so much replay potential. Ouests in every game so far have always been basically the same, go here and do that or kill that person, but the quest descriptions of Morrowind and Oblivion were indeed much better. And while the overall storyline of the older game are far superior and more involved its the simpler nature of Skyrim that I actually like. I feel that the option to roleplay different character types is actualy greater in Skyrim than any of the previous games. I don't feel so locked into and certain character type as I did before. The vanilla UI for Skyrim is fine in my opinion, it is simple to use and does what you need. To be honest if the UI of a game is something that defines the game for you then your playing the wrong sort of games. A game should be about its story and its content and its visuals, not about what its menu's look like. Get over it folks because if you stop for a second and actualy think about it you will realise IT DOES NOT MATTER!!! SKYUI is out there and its amazing so just use that and stop moaning already.
  13. I posted an idea a while back but it was a bit longwinded so I am going to suggest a simpler version. Basicaly its a Spell/Power or MCM menu that allows you to manipulate any item you have and put whatever enchantments you want on it. The ability to set the enchantments levels would be great too. I just really hate grinding the Enchanting tree and Im sure there are plenty of others who feel the same.
  14. This spell exists in a number of Spell pack mods including the top ones like Phenderix's. if you just want that one spell and not a ton of others ( especially ones npc's can also use against you ) the the mod Cheat Room by Braden has a Resurrect Npc spell. Its on Steam but not nexus however.
  15. I love doing the Dawngard questline first so I can get the Rune Axe asap. One hit killing a Dragonpriest in lategame is awesome lol To create a weapon that has the same kind of enchantment but not specific to a type of enemy however would be gamebreaking. By the time you have done 6-7 quests and killed a couple hundred enemies the weapon would be so powerful that you could probably one hit kill the Ebony Warrior. This would be great fun for messing around with but for a serious playthrough it would be way too overpowered even on the most difficult settings.
  16. So I had this idea and i figured it would appeal to a lot of players who dont lke to grind enchanting to get powerfull items. My hope is it will inspire a modder out there who feels the same. I have searched through existing mods and cannot find anything like this but if I am wrong can someone please inform me, thanks you. So simply it is a powerful mage who specialises in Enchanting. The player can pay the mage to enchant an item with whatever power they desire. The player must provide the Item to be enchanted, the required Soul Gems and a Gold payment. The cost could scale quite simply with each additional enchantment and depending on the strength of the enchantment. A simple Sword of Flames would be something along these lines: Enchantment Strength Soul gem Gold Cost Total Cost Fire Damage 10pts Damage 1 filled any type 1000 septims 1 Soul Gem + 1000 Septims 20pts Damage +1 filled Gem +1000 septims 2 Soul Gems + 2000 Septims 30pts Damage +1 filled Gem +1000 septims 3 Soul gems + 3000 Septims 40pts Damage +1 filled Gem +1000 septims 4 Soul Gems + 4000 Septims 50pts Damage +1 filled Gem +1000 septims 5 Soul Gems + 5000 Septims 60pts Damage +1 filled Gem +1000 septims 6 Soul Gems + 6000 Septims I figure 60pts is the max damage that should be added for any weapon. The option to add up to 3 enchantments on an item. With this very simple scale the player could potentially make op weapons but the cost would be great. A sword with Fire, Frost and Lightening damage all at level 6 would cost a whopping 18 Filled Soul Gems and 18,000 Septims. Armour enchantments would work the same and go up 10% to a max of 100% so a level 10 Boots with Stamina, Health and Magic Regen would cost 30 Filled Soul Gems and 30,000 Septims. For enchantments that do not scale such as Waterbreathing and Muffled Movement which cant have a scaling price then a set price of say 2 Soul gems and 5,000 Septims could be imposed. There is loads of scope here to make this mod as big or small as desired. The Mage could need rescuing first. Missing enchantments such as Night Vision could be added to the list. The max number of enchantmens could be set to just 2 or as high as wanted. Ingredients such as Fire and frost Salts could be part of the cost for additional Levels instead of more Soul Gems. Loads of idea's. Anyway thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. I will pray to see something like this appear someday but I will be delighted if it simply gives someone inspiration.
