  1. yea I'm using xpmse fnis from vortex and fnis standalone tho when i run it in the list of options I don't see anything about some mods other than gender mods and tk's mods, no creatures in the check boxes but I do see mention of creature packs installed being at 0 which seems odd considering I got immersive horses, an animal swim mod, Immersive creatures, one of mihail's creatures mod and a few dragon mods(deadly dragons,immersive dragons and ultimate dragons) . How do I tell if it's properly installed? I have rules set in vortex to set orders maybe one of the mods in there playing with the skeletons should come first or after another mod? Just reinstall xpmse but would that require me reinstalling all mods depending on it afterwards too? How do I do this lol.
  2. Hi so I've been getting CTD's consistently when fighting mammoths, after being flung around by them (realistic impacts). I posted on the forum concerning this in relation to my papyrus logs thinking the two were related but seemingly not according to users. I still can't figure out how to stop it short of doing a clean reboot of my game which I'm avoiding for now.   3. Removed ELFX (kept the ext. open cities patch, wondering if thats what broke my shadows or just elfx or else) and realistic impacts but no change still getting ctds and getting knocked away by mammoths, is that realistic ragdolls at work?

FWIW, ***if set up correct, FNIS is called (from Vortex) when Skyrim changes are deployed, during a mod installationduring mod de-installation, orit can be run manually by clicking the "deploy mods" button from the mods tab of Vortex in the links bar just above the mod listings.In addition, it can be run from a desktop shortcut, and as far as I know, that also results in the correct configuration being established. *** afaik, FNIS MUST BE configured correctly in any case or it simply won't work. Yeah just for that, deploying is confusing at first until you realize you gotta do it like that and not just by installing and activating a mod, I've managed to build back up my modlist in much less time than it took me in the past and even improve on it with nearly prestine stability... until I cocked it up adding outdated and/or incompatible mods most likely. Atleast fixing the whole thing and restarting it would be simple... if i F***ing knew what was the issue to avoid compromising to much on the list!
  5. Vortex appears to run it automatically but to be on the safeside I ran it manually once more and I still get the same ctd after being bashed by mammoths on second load.
  6. Updated the OP with skse plugin list. Hey what was that about a variation on the xpmse skeleton? lol i can't make sense of the sse engine logs or most of em, they just mostly say registered or not compatible with runtime, some of which I expected but still seem to work... X_X
  7. They do??? What about ussep, does it generate its own logs too and where would one find ôem?   8. Thanks for everything! I can recreate it consistently at the giant camp west of whiterun as i get knocked down/flung by mammoths thanks to realistic impacts and previous to that I also had faster get up stand up which seemingly was messing my physics cause till i removed it i would also just fly away and up without dying till infinity and beyond like buzz... I had just installed hearthfiregodchest too so i wouldnt have to go thru the drudgery of rebuilding houses for zilionth time, now gone by fear of gods wrath. had issues with skyrim radar and SimpleLockOn till found out i needed to replace the .dll file through their respective posts pages...thinking maybe all my conflicting meshes is causing issues from having smim>uv tweaks>high poly project>ELFX(moved from being after smim when the rest was added) then add on loot vision,animated clutter and improved ruins which is omehow interlaced in order with those and im all confused now about what should be wherethen we got the useless/non functioning bunch:remove interior fog, mortal enemies, skyrim is windy(not working on my trees) and no floating fogWe also got fall rolling animation(not even fully working if at all) conflcting with tk dodge I believe which in turn conflicts somehow with deadly dragons/immersive dragons/ultimate dragons(which play nicer with each other than tk n fall) yet nothing is broken apparently...*EDIT* I wish Vortex had a changelog for your modlist and ruleslist XD I can not remember changes I have done; it started I could swear after adding Skyrim radar and some other mods with rule changes, when loading quick save I would hear a horse while coming out of load but CTD right there lol...
  9. Was the way to figure out what would've caused your ctd papyrus logs before? How do we figure it out nowadays then?
  10. Hi everybody, I've been off pc gaming and SSE for over 2 years(rig died on me). I'm back at it but I can't seem to remember how to understand a papyrus log to fix CTD's for s***! Loving the Vortex app really makes things much simpler but probably don't fully understand it either cause before i messed with rules it was running fine then I got my first CTD I couldn't solve. I went and tried undoing what I'd done by changing back the rules and deactivating the mods I'd just messed with as best I could remember... Oh yeah and I'm desperately trying to recreate my mod list so that I can pick back up from cloud saves, to some exceptions, while improving on it... Help me please! T_T Would screenshots of my mod list be useful? 23 of em for the full 126 (active) +15(deactivated) mod list not including plugins... Is there an option for that in Vortex, seems like that might be good to incorparate eventually if not.   11. So after reinstalling F4SE, I also reinstalled achievements enabler, saw the F4SE launch option now available in NMM, tried it and got the same failure to launch message as always. Then I tried launching by clicking on my falloutlauncher.exe which opened bilagos tweaker with the options ''play'' and ''settings''. That was a new occurence, clicked ''play'' and nothing happened. Clicked ''settings'' then edit launcher settings and it started the game, pressumably because my launcher is set to be fallout4launcher.exe and not fallout4.exe. Then loaded a save, everything was fine, went back to the main menu, turned on some mods through the games ''mods'' tab, relaunched my save, no achievement warning and the game started fine with the mods I had activated on! Then closed it, retried it just now and nop back to having achievements disabled when mods are on! Reinstalled achievements enabler and it's still not working again... Feels like I'd have to reinstall F4SE as well everytime. Could it be that my game files are being re-edited every time I close the game, messing all progress made? If so what options do I need to enable or disable in FO4 Tweaker or in my game files properties directly? I WAS SO CLOSE!!!! T_T Call me presomptuous but I feel like Icarus...

Ouf what a question, been a moment now so I'm not a 100% sure anymore but yea the 2 lines in custom.ini: ''[Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= '' in fallout4.ini ''[Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 There's also an interface line to allow for a value/weight mod something like Strings=1 On the other hand I have noticed now that since the first edits, my .ini files are fat with lines that weren't there, I would wager in part because of bilago's tweaker and some other mods despite their esp's not being active. ;(

Please try running f4se_loader as an administrator. Basically saying the same thing I've been saying all along; my issue is this F*@(!@g fallout4.exe that doesn't launch. Code 740 appears to refer to a lack of permissions but i'm at a loss as to what more permissions I must give it. Isn't there a way for F4SE to launch using fallout4launcher.exe rather then fallout4.exe? Or what settings must I change on my pc for fallout 4 to launch without some bs ranaming trickery?
  15. Which patch are you referring to? I have used the two mods available here on the nexus, the f4se reliant one and the independent one, neither worked. Then again my f4se wasn't working. Are you referring to something else? Does it matter if F4SE is installed before that?
  16. I keep mentioning them because F4se does too. I don't use NMM to run f4se, i directly run the f4se_loader.exe from the fallout 4 folder as described in the f4se readme. As I said after launching f4se it doesn't launch and says ''Launching E:\Software\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\\Fallout4.exe failed (740). Please try running f4se_loader as an administrator.'' or previously it would simply CTD. In other words it appears the f4se loader needs to locate a valid and functional fallout4.exe. Gonna try running it from tweaker. BTW already have a shortcut of it on my desktop. *Update* Turns out It was already set to open f4se_loader.exe as the launcher and the result is the same sa running the loader directly. Maybe there's another setting I need enabled or disabled on the tweaker that I overlooked or misunderstood?

Furthermore if you haven't done it already, I would use insignificant object remover to take out some stuff like pebbles on ground and water that use rendering power causing some fps drops, increasing performance for no visual loss. Also use fallout4 config tweaker or something like that unless you already know your way around the .ini files, to allow multiple CPU cores likely more then the game is set to despite there being more available for use. You might also want to toggle vsync settings in tweaker to be compatible with your monitor frequency, like mine can't go over 60 but I have the vsync set so has to run in game at 30fps, game runs smooth as silk! I could also do 60 but I personally found 30 more stable for no perceptible loss in quality or performance.
  18. Did you try allowing multiple CPU cores to run and toggling vsync settings? You can use fallout4 config tweaker to do so easily, it helped me a lot with fps issues, goodbye stuttering! Also changing bokeh to standard Depth of field can help in some areas for nearly no loss in graphic quality, mostly affects vats and even then barely but can make quite an impact for fps. Try using the insignificant object remover mod also for more fps boost for no visual loss, just removes some useless garbage read the mod description for more details. In the same line of thought, you can go in FO4 tweaker and change the grass setting from 20 to 40 after using insignificant object remover if the value isn't already modified by it. Basic changes for no loss in quality but a boost in performance which might allow you to go back to having your 4k textures running smooth.

Sorry I omitted/wasn't clear about this: the game was clean installed from steam, so most likely properly and F4SE was installed properly and game run from it's .exe which also gives the CTD with the fallout.exe name unchanged but if it is changed then F4SE won't locate it and just won't run. With that being said, I still tried having 2 fallout4.exe files one with regular name the other renamed and then tried running f4se and it still didn't work. However the error message might've been different from the usual, progress maybe? Launching E:\Software\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\\Fallout4.exe failed (740). Please try running f4se_loader as an administrator. Tried running as admin, just did the usual CTD after fade to black. My entire fallout 4 folder is set to full control security setting, its been giving all access in windows defender as far as i can tell and also in my AV(avira) by giving the whole steam and games folders exceptions from real time protection. Even if i did a reinstall of F4SE I don't see why the fallout4.exe isn't functioning as is that c***t is messing with everything... *UPDATE* Your suggestion has however resolved the issue where I have to rename my fallout4.exe back and forth to allow NMM to run and game to launch without any further apparent conflicts other then those mentioned above. Thanks for that! Feels like clutter but *meh* whatever works right? Wish there was a command I could add to NMM settings so it would use the functional fallout4launcher.exe instead of fallout4.exe to run but I don't have a clue what that would look like...
  20. Hi everyone! So I'm wondering if anyone knows how I could resolve my issues so has to be able to use mods as I do in Skyrim SE with SKSE on, achievements too, NMM running smooth for it and no issues on steam. Is there something I missed or a mistake I made somewhere? Currently having these issues; FO4 won't launch from steam, launcher starts but after clicking on ''play'' fade to black then back to desktop with app closed. Only fix working so far for me is having fallout4.exe file renamed/replacing fallout4launcher.exe which in turn creates the null error on NMM. So I constantly have to change file names back and forth if I close NMM after opening it. More details about that here:https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/issues/300 Can't launch FO4 from steam either or it'll ''update'' the game despite me running Fallout 4 v.1.10.82 think that undid my T.O.P. conversion last time it happened, otherwise it usually just seems to replace the executables with new ones with their vanilla names. Keep in mind that the whole FO4 not launching in steam was happening since install. That in turn makes it impossible for me to run F4SE build 0.6.7 and so a whole lot of mods too since I'm not willing to play without achievements considering there should be an easy fix if F4SE was running. Mods won't run since they're not being loaded, which appears to be only working through in-game esps activated into load order. I've got the Fallout 4 config tweaker installed with it having the allow mods option on and running by using the fallout4launcher.exe (formerly fallout4.exe). Used to stop stuttering running at a solid 30fps with my quad core being now used. Previous to that I had already added the lines into my .ini files to allow mods in game, as shown by Gopher's tutorial. I've got all dlc's, was running the game vanilla about a year ago on steam with no issues as far as i can recall except of course terrible performance, now fixed with the config tweaker settings, some retextures and other optimizations.
