Hey Sephrajin - sorry to be away so long, you were talking about two quest mods being incompatible. I've been doing some testing and the only two that are natively incompatible are Depravity and SS2 because both use the same location. But, there's a simple patch for it. All it does is relocates the load door for SS2. Fiendishly clever. So I'm thinking I will add that quest module (if no one is already doing it.) There are so many good and great ones it'll be hard to choose to keep it managable.

I've seen several threads about deploy order which seem to change to 'load order'. So, in an attempt to find an answer, I'll spell out the question. Call it OCD if you like or just being too orderly for my own good, but what I want to do is group all my mods into sections...let's say all the textures, such that they are in consecutive order. At present, the deploy order has them all over the place. In MO2, I could just move them up or down the list, but it seems in Vortex I can't, or just haven't found a way. So...forgetting about load orders, LOOT and all of that, is there a way to order my mods so that I can change the order in which they're deployed following the MO2 model?

Might I make a suggestion? Perhaps a module containing quest add-ons, like Tales from the Commonwealth, Depravity, Outcasts and Remnants....those sort of things?

Download errors...I don't think it's me.

Hi there, I was trying to download a file (42268) but upon receipt came up as corrupt. Tried it again, same results. Tried a different machine, same results. Twice more to verify, same results, It isn't the end of the world, but I'd be curious to know of there are other files somehow corrupted. One machine one time, might be me. 5 times on 2 machines...it isn't me. Anyone else seeing corrupted files?

Where to find WW2 German Uniforms

Hello out there, This my already have been asked and answered, but is it possible to trade small mods between Fallout 4 and Skyrim witouth TOO much trouble? By small mods I mean single items, not whole areas or massive retextures, but let's say a weapon or armour mod, or even just a clothing mod. For instance, there's a really cool dagger in Skyrim I thnk would go well in my FO4 roleplaying. Is it as simple as just transplanting the mesh and texture, or is there more to it than that, like making adjustments via xEdit? (yes I am a noob when it comes to the innards of the game. Forgive me.) Your answers will prevent hours or even days of headscratching wondering 'what do I do now?' Thank you all in advance. Nyriss. (where is Wile. E. Ok, I'm an idiot. Found refugees, now all I'm looking for are burned up villages. -
Skyrim SE - Mod Detectives Thread
DarthNyriss replied to DoctorKaizeld's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Greetings Detectives and Detectees, I noticed something about Skyrim which has bothered me from day one. Skyrim is in the midst of a civil war, but I see no evidence of it. Now, I know I can add battles, patrols, all that stuff. But there are no burned out villages, no refugees, nothing to suggest the actual aftermath of a war. (I don't need piles of dead bodies, I'll RP that bit. But asit stands, It's all too clean, if you take my meaning. So, are there any such scenic mods as the burned out villages, refugee camps, anything? Much as I love the game this is the piece I am personally missing to flesh it out. Anyone have, or know of, any mods kike this? -
Thisi is all useful information, thank you. I have a hell of a lot to learn. It seemed simple and straightforward in my head, but actually planning it, as you point out, becomes a lot more complicated with the practical concerns. Still, even if somene says "can't be done, here's why" it's learning, right? Thanks for your input. It does help. Nyriss (taking notes)

Hi all, I have an idea, and I'm even willing to try it if someone can show me how, but let me expain first. What I'd like is to create mannequins specifically for Legacy of the Dragonborn. One male and one female of each of the original races. Ideally what I'd like to do is: 1. One male and one female of each of the original races. 2. Set different heights to reflect the racial diversity, and perhaps random weights. 3. If it won't be too complicated, use a modded skin, and recolour it to, say, stone. 4. I don't know if this is even possible, but be able to pick and choose which mannequin goes where. Here the scene. You're walking around and see a display of Orc armour worn by an Orc, a High Elf in Elven armour and so forth. Bretons in College robes or something, and be able to see what the different armours look like on men and women. I DON'T see moving mannequins, that's creepy (UNLESS it's created with one pose and never moves, like store mannequins. Now. I know there are tutorials on how to make a mannequin, and I have a mod somewhere (maybe it was oldrim and never ported, I don't know) that changed all mannequins everywhere in Skyrim as a skinned female (insert race here). My first question, then, is this. Given the LotD museum is it's own worldspace and has static displays you don't see anywhere else, and given there there are so...damn...MANY...and with each having their own static pose, can I not borrow a page from their book to create these mannequins? Place Orc mannequin spot here, Nord mannequin spot there, etc, then once I add the armour bits to the right spot the statue hoves into view, as in the displays in LotD? Also, even in player homes, naked mannequins are a little depreasing, like a constant reminder of some unfinished you need to take care of....someday. This might be a mannequin replacer? Hmm? If this is even halfway feasible, knowing me and my sad lack in any of the skills needed for this venture, if I tried to do it alone, Elder Scrolls 8 will be released by the time I'm finished. So, IF this is possible without too much effort for too little reward, and IF someone or two of you might lend a hand, please by all means. Hell if you want credit for it's creation, take it all. Just toss my name in there somewhere and I'll be happy. List me as the tea boy, I don't care. As long as I can see my idea (assuming it's an original one) added in AND it's well received, that's reward enough. So. Who's bored enough to help take on this idea? Who knows, we might change the destiny of mannequins in Skyrim forever. (Cue the evil laugh.) Nyriss (Strike a poae)

A hypothetical question (and I hope it could work.)

Ah ha! How about this? Firethingy hits NPC. Fire blooms to completely obscure actor. Actor meanwhile disappears, cue the blood curdling scream, actor is replaced by charred body. Or is that what Frozen Electrocuted Combustion does? Damn, I really need to get my head out of CGI and into models and scripts. (Oh by the way, this is all due to a modlist I'm working on for all the really chilling horror mods out there and I needed a good reason for screams. It's all Sinitar's fault.) I feel a questline coming on...one reply to one message and already I have the germ of an idea. I love this place. (I wonder how much voice actors charge. Hmm.) Nyriss (clears throat) -

I'll check that out right now. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. I hadn't considered so many object meshes that would have to be modified. I suppose I'm skating the line between modding and post-production CGI. Still, it'd be a great visual. Enemies run to the trees. Don't kill the enemy...light up the forest, blackened carnage everywhere. By the Nine, when did I become so bloody-minded? Thanks again, my friend. Nyriss (not what you're expecting.) -

DarthNyriss posted a topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Hey guys. I have to admit I've been skulking around for years but really was never one for posting, but with all the absolutely magnificent mods around now, I had an idea. Here it is. How hard would it be to light somethng on fire? Here's an example. I toss a fireball at a tree. The tree catches fire and the fire spreads. Let's not go crazy nd say I started an entire forest fire, but the tree takes damage. Blackened trunk, dead leaves, that sort of thing. Skyrim being Skyrim, the tree can eventually heal (or perhaps ice spells can put out the fire, ice being water of course. Or simply say trees sre too rugged for mere mortals to harm). Now crates and wooden items.... Another scenario (if it hasn't been done already) would be, say shattering a crate, a display case, etc. by a lightning spell. I go zap, it goes boom sort of thing. I know there is a destructable object mod I use and, by the nine I love cargange (as long as I survive.) Maybe someone could link 'sparks' or something more to whatever triggers that thng to fall apart? That would be something...hit someone with fire or lightning, screams of pain and torment ensue...but I digress. A fundamental truth is thatI have zero talent when it comes to modelling. I'm lucky to make a cube in Blender. Same for texturing, scripting, and whatever else goes into a really good mod. Ideas, I got 'em. A staggering lot of 'em. I could even write dialogue (if anyone is looking for a volunteer writer, I'll give it a shot.) So gang, there's the idea. Linking a destructive spell to real 'co-lateral damage'. It always amused me when NPCs catch fire and still come at you, seemingly unaware they're burnning to death. How complex an undertaking would it be? Would the end be WORTH the means or is just one of those "Can't do it, suspend your disbelief" things. Please, let me know. Nyriss
