  1. You're not the only one. I'm about to just quit playing the game, which is sad since I really love it. But, with the constant CTDs, freezes and mission/NPC dialog gliches of late (all due to the current officially released update), I'm just getting tired of it. I haven't played the game for a week or so now and decided to give it go since I updated some mods I like. Even restarted the whole game since the crucial mission of discovering Alduin resurrecting the dragon above Kynesgrove ("A Blade In The Dark" mission) is screwed up (Alduin does not show up, so the dragon doesn't rise from the mound). As I'm making my way down to Riverwood with Hadvar, the game freakin' freezes before I can even get to the first Standing Stones. Before the most recent official update, the game was working nearly perfect with occasional CTDs due to mod conflicts, though those were easily figured out and fixed. Now, it's just a nightmare with all the problems. BSG, fix this crap or lose players, including myself. I'm tired of it.
  2. The only mods I have running that alter dialog are "NPC Reaction Shut-Up About Flames", "NPC Reaction Spell Shutup", "STFU" and maybe "Interesting NPCs". None of these alter Delvin's dialog though.
  3. Steam downloaded and updated my game today with the new 1.6 patch. Problem is, now Delvin's dialog commands are messed up. Every time I talk to him, I get the same clickable lines concerning having completed the Windhelm, Solitude and Markarth side quests and all of his radiant quests keep restarting. I already did all of them before the patch. Something needs to be fixed on this issue. Also, Delvin won't buy the Dwemer Puzzle Cube from Calcelmo's Laboratory or the two Falmer statue diamond eyes I got from those two quests.
  4. You should look into asking Dogtown of the awesome "Skyrim Monster Mod" to help out. He has already created two Sea Dragons and he has tons of other fantastic beasties.
  5. I knew Dogtown would help you out. He is a great monster/creature designer. As for Discworld, I assume you have the excellent "The Art of Discworld", "The Pratchett Portfolio" and "The Last Hero" books. They will come in handy for all the fantastic Paul Kidby artwork. Love the outfit, Voivod333. With bit more tweaking, it will look even better. The hat definitely needs more redesiging to match those of the UU members, but it still looks great right now.
  6. I wouldn't use the College as a base for UU. It will cause too many conflictions with other mods and in-game quests, as well as set NPC AI routing. Best to do as another modder was working on by creating a gateway to a large separate area where you can create whatever you desire without conflicts with anything else. BTW, if you want the great Death in the game, talk with Dogtown, the creator of the awesome Skyrim Monster Mod. He actually has a Gloom Reaper right now, which will be available in the next update. But, he has helped make creatures (Ice Werewolf) for my friends mod, Expanded Winterhold Destruction Ruins, and for the excellent "Moonpath To Elsweyr" mod.
  7. I like it. Keep going with it.
  8. What I meant was that I replied to your previous e-mail indicating that the portal works fine. I came at it from several directions, including jumping, and it always transported me to the two buildings worldspace without any hitches. Concerning the buildings, I noticed that the first one is just a direct copy of the one in Solitude, even has the collapsed awning on the side (if you took the city with the Stormcloaks like I did). Should look into replacing that one with something entirely new.
  9. Did you get my PM report on testing the portal?
  10. He would fit perfectly. :) There aren't any pointy hats in the game, so you ~would~ have to make one.
  11. That is due to both being incompatible. You either use one or the other. I prefer the UNP over CBBE. Caliente's girls have are to big in the ass.
  12. Nah, I'll wait for your complete version. Rather enjoy the best it can be than the early stages. Thanks for the offer though.
  13. If you would like vocals, I could lead my voice if you send me some dialog lines. I'll record them in whatever emotional tones you desire and send them back in MP3 format. Also, I'm willing to do any textual proof-reading. Did this for the guy that made the superb "Winterhold Destruction" mod.
  14. Rincewind doesn't wear armor, it would be a retexture of a mage outfit. But I definitely second the desire to have this in the game. The pointy hat with "WIZZARD" on it would have to be made from scratch though, since no one in the game has a hat like that.
  15. Wow, that Elsweyr mod looks to be amazing when it is complete. So dramatically different looking than anything I've seen in the game so far.
  16. Being that no normal player would ever see them, the areas should have been deleted to cut down on load times for the game, if this was the case. Now that the game has been out for awhile, the land areas can be filled out with solid ground, cities, details, creatures and characters for more Skyrim experience, which is needed anyway. I've already completed all the quests and nearly all of the side quests. I'm left just exploring for places I haven't been and taking in the locations. Planning to do a walking tour around the whole edge of the map, within the border zone, to see how long it would take.
  17. Massive Hidden Southern Landscape Waiting To Be Developed Past the southern mountains of Skyrim, there lies another huge landscape waiting to be developed, hidden beneath a layer of clouds on the map so you wouldn't know it is there. The terrain is already laid out with mountains, valleys, hills and a coastline with an ocean inlet. BSG even went so far as to make half of the White-Gold Tower from Oblivion. The ground is solid for quite a ways out before it becomes phased, causing your character to drop into the hidden ocean below the graphics. At that point, you have to use the no-clip "tcl" console command to air walk to the coast. With this massive area of land available, Bethesada has made it easy to expand the world of Skyrim. Like the western location, this area is also bigger than the hidden mountain area south of Riften. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7189/6828115234_6d1d3ca01a_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7043/6974236739_1a8335159b_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7187/6828115296_93ecd5d022_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7062/6828115326_dd67e9aa68_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7060/6974236821_5780bccb74_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7205/6974236849_e57b6f4ea8_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7197/6974236937_d5021184a0_b.jpg
  18. If you are going to do this, which I highly recommend since the graphic engine for Skyrim is perfect for this project, you need to scrutinize all of the available books (which I have). This also includes "The Art of Discworld" by Paul Kidby (a must have for any fan) and the Tiffany Aching books (Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith and the less than stellar I Shall Wear Midnight), as well as the side story "The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents". There are also some great stories in "Once More *with footnotes" to use for location and character creation. Lastly, the "Map of Ank-Morpork" is very helpful for the layout of the city. BTW, don't forgot the Fool's Guild. Since Skyrim has the Cicero character and outfit, there is already a basis for jesters, though you would need to make clown characters as well.
  19. Yes, Ginny, I managed to get past the border to take these shots. I used this mod: Border Regions Disabled. Snag the EV download. That's the English version.
  20. If it was BSG's intention to add in some landscape past the mountains for players to see that there is at least something there, then they could have just made a small bit of land that tapers off into the ocean or fades out into haze. With this, they went all out and made a giant area that you can't even see most of it unless you literally explore the area. Plus, it is too detailed with all the mountains, hills, valleys and a lake. Due to the border region programmer's wall blocking the way to the mountain tops, and in most case the lower portions of them (unless you have a mod that turns the wall off), you would never even know that this huge location even exists. So BSG's comment about putting it there for visuals doesn't make a lot of sense. Same for the big mountain landscape south of Riften. At the gate where the border zone wall is at, you can hardly see the large hidden location in the distance. You would never know there is so much land available for expansion out there unless you went there to look.
  21. Normally I post images in my SkyrimNexus photo gallery is something funny or unusual happens. The first funny one I can recall was a Draugr Deathlord that got stuck on a door gate after I Fus-Roh-Da'd him into it. When the gate rose up, he swung from it like a hanging corpse. Got a great shot of it in my photo gallery.
  22. I think that is the definite goal planned by Bethesada, otherwise this huge landscape was a complete waste of time.
  23. Past the western mountains of Skyrim, there lies a huge landscape waiting to be developed, hidden beneath a layer of clouds on the map so you wouldn't know it is there. The terrain is already laid out with mountains, valleys, hills and a coastline with a large lake. This location is way bigger than the hidden mountain area south of Riften. From the mountain ridge starting area in the photos below, it will take you 13 minutes of full tilt air running, then walking to rebuild your Stamina, then running again to reach the coastline. Now this is a straight line coarse. If the landscape was solid all the way there, it would probably take 30 minutes or more due to the valleys, mountains and hills. You can also add in 3 to 5 minutes to reach the mountain ridge area I started at since you have to go up a valley past the border region wall. The first photo shows where the border wall is at. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7069/6971571999_9491778431_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7205/6825452320_9a3e0ac733_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7045/6825452340_cb185c494a_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7061/6825452360_0ea32a8bb7_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7050/6971572041_c886907649_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7178/6971572053_c949bb8585_b.jpg My character is not actually standing on the hilltop in the photo. She is still in no-clip mode. I just moved her down to be right above the graphic layer. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7063/6825452420_5312736725_b.jpg
  24. Funny book, though it needs proof-reading before publishing into a Skyrim tome. I noticed a lot of errors.
