Well I have nailed down the Warzones is causing the freeze between Whiterun and Valtheim Tower (near the ritual stone). I uninstalled/deleted Warzones, which I am very sad about, but was able to run through that area without freezing. HOWEVER, as I got closer to Valtheim Tower, I had an immediate CTD. Also my other freeze problems in other areas persist. I am pretty much resigned to the fact that this afternoon I am going to do a complete unistall/reinstall of Skyrim and any mods. I am pretty disappointed because I had just gotten the game to where it was perfect, then all of sudden it goes to crap. When I do reinstall mods, I guess I'm going to be a bit more selective, and keep it to a minimum. I just can't play without mods at this point, so if this doesn't work, I'm going to have to give up on Skyrim altogether.

@3012 I'm not able to look at my whole mod list right now, but here are the mods we are both using for sure: Warzones Jaysus Swords Weapons and Armor Fixes SMIM Birds of Skyrim Crimson Tide Bandoliers Perfect Legionnaire Cloaks of Skyrim Smithing Perks Overhaul Complete Crafting Overhaul Deadly Dragons Beautiful Whiterun Proper Aiming Better Dynamic Snow Faster Arrows No Perk Prereq Realistic Ragdoll Force Phenderix's Magic Evolved Deadly Spell Impacts UFO WATER I am not using Script Dragon anymore, but am using SKSE. Most of the other mods I have are texture replacers for armor etc, a few animation mods (sit, idle), Bella's better females, Apachii Sky hair, etc. I also use an ENB (Sharpshooter's Extreme Graphics vision). I should also clarify, I still get good FPS (40-50 in most areas, only drop into the 30's when it starts to rain). Its the freezes that are the killers. I saw in another post someone was having the same problem and narrowed it down to the mod "Extended Slider Colors" which I was using. I uninstalled/deleted that mod, but I still froze. Took a little longer, but it still happened.

I am having the EXACT same problem as 3012, just in different locations. Mainly on the road to Valtheim towers from Whiterun, and from Guardian Stones to Riverwood. I've tried disabling and uninstalling mods, making new characters, everything I can think of. So frustrating. My machine: i5 2500k @ 3.7GHz AMD HIS IceQ-Turbo 6950 2 GB 16 MB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram Intel 120 GB SSD Coolermaster 850W Power Supply Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 Motherboard Windows 7 64 Bit So I'm pretty sure its not my machine, especially since I was running the game with HD textures, ENB, etc at 50 FPS with no problems until recently. I am at a loss.

I'm having similar problems as well lately, but in different areas. Mine are on the way to Valtheim towers from Whiterun, guaranteed complete freeze or CTD, and from the Guardian Stones to Riverwood is a 50/50 chance at freeze or CTD. There are a few random other problem areas, but those are much less frequent. It just started happening out of the blue, very weird.

I am having the same problem, and it has just recently started. I have tried everything I can think of, but nothing works. I'm thinking I'm going to have to do a complete uninstall and start all over, which I really don't want to do, but it's getting bad. The thing that happens most for me is a total freeze, usually outdoors, where I have to use task manager to shut down Skyrim because it is "not responding". Occasionally I have to do the same thing when trying to load a save, and every once in a while a complete CTD. It's extremely frustrating, I have a strong machine that should not be having these issues. It happens on existing characters and brand new ones just the same. If anyone can shed any light on this, I would be eternally grateful.

I am having a very similar issue. If you come up with any thing, please let me know. Here is my post from another board: So here's the deal, for the last couple of days, ever ytime I am on the road between Honningbrew Meadery and Valtheim towers, about a little less than half-way to the tower, my game freezes...completely. The only way out is to ctrl-alt-del and bring up the task manager (which shows Skyrim - Not responding). This happens on any character, existing or new. With mods and without, with ENB and without etc etc. I have tried everything I can think of, but no luck. I have not made any changes lately that would cause this. As a side note, it happens occasionally outside of Riverwood (the guardian stone side), and occasionally in other random spots, like outside Windhelm once in awhile, but not EVERY time like the other spot. I have a pretty nice system too and run the game between 45-50 FPS most times, with HD textures and on ultra settings. Turning those down does not help either. Here's what I use: Windows 7 64 bit i5 2500k @3.7 GHz 16 MB of Corsair Vengeance RAM AMD 6950 HIS IceQ Turbo w/2 GB of VRAM Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B3 MB 850W Coolermaster PS Intel 120 GB SSD Still using version 1.5 of Skyrim. Thinking about trying the 1.6 Beta to see if that does anything. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. It's getting very frustrating. Please help! PS, have tried things like Gamebooster too, but that does nothing.

My CK is not working properly, if I uninstall, then reinstall it, will I lose anything or mess up any mods I am using?

Thanks for the input, kind of a bummer as it seems the Script Dragon (and Skyboost) author has disappeared, but oh well.

Hmmm, I am not finding any of these settings in my .ini, should they already be there? Or this something to add in? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, I went to Documents/My Games/Skyrim... is that not correct?

I know SKSE needs to be updated to run with 1.6 (and it appears as though it already has been updated), but I'm not clear if Script Dragon needs to be updated as well?

Thanks Tidus44, that makes perfect sense. One question I have though is regarding the NMM and all the mods I have. Do I need to uninstall/delete all of those, and reinstall them on the new HD? I do want those on the new HD as well. What it sounds like is I'm just going to have to bite the bullet, wipe everything out, and start completely over. Or am I wrong?

Greetings, I am about to install a new hard drive (SSD) onto my computer as the current drive is just about full. I am only planning on moving Skyrim, Steam, NMM, and all mods to this drive for now. I've never done something like this, my question is, is it difficult to do? How easy is it to miss something that needs to be moved over? If anyone has experience with this, any help would be greatly appreciated. What it comes down to is I want to move Skyrim and all associated files in mods and mod manager over and play from the new SSD. Thanks in advance, happy gaming!

Well I was using a couple of other hair mods as well, but decided I didn't really need them, and uninstalled them all except Skyhair, and the problem went away. So, that's good enough for me.

Nope, just happened again :( What a bummer. I do (as far as I know) have everything from the previous version removed. Any chance it is another mod that uses Skyhair?

Oh really? hmmm that's interesting, I wonder if there is anything I can do? Other than the obvious go back to 1.1 :) Ok thanks, gonna try uninstalling, deleting, re-installing, see if that works.

I just started having this exact same problem yesterday as well. I am using a body mesh mod, but nothing new lately, as this has started only yesterday. I thought maybe it had something to do with Apachii SkyHair 1.2 update, but really doubt that's the case. Anyone else? Or any insight?

It' s happening to me too, can't download any mods right now, just says error, and in the NMM, where it lists Version/Latest Version/Author on the right hand side, under Latest Version it says <No Data>. Anyone else getting that?

And just to be clear, I have no intention of uplaoding this anywhere, it is only for my personal use. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and keep in mind this is my first time ever using nifskope, and have very very little experience with the CK.

Alright so I changed the slot to 54 in the CK, downloaded Nifskope, have the nifs opened in it, but not seeing BSDismembermentSkinInstance anywhere. Any suggestions?
