  1. Regarding the Site Update: Under files,I think, the "Miscellaneous" section should be above the "Old Version" section making it easier for uploaders. The change would give this order: Main, Options, Miscellaneous, Old.
  2. Open the console (~), click on the NPC (to get his reference I.d.) and try "resetai" without the quotes. This may take a little time before it kicks in. If you are impatient, "recycleactor" will work but be sure to dismiss and recover any stuff the NPC has before doing this, else you will lose it as the NPC will return to its default location and state.
  3. Regarding your noticing lag early in the game: I've heard blood textures is expensive in FPS. Try Elys "mem info" for a FPS display. Then try removing certain mods and see if it affects your FPS. I think you may only have one or two culprits in your order that are affecting you a lot. If you find them, you'll be good to go. Remember, there is no such thing as a clean save regarding mods with scripting. Removing a mod with scripts doesn't necessarily remove the scripts. Regarding some of the heavier mods you mentioned, you may not be able to use all of them in one game because of FPS. Choices: use or ... not.
  4. There are two apachii hair files that have to be downloaded. The female hairs are not in the Skyhair download but in their own download but on the same mod site -- it's confusing because of the huge picture files in between. Also, sometimes NMM gets confused and overwrites one with the other. Try downloading the two files manually.
  5. Check it for malware -- my anti-viruser says your NMM is chock full (means at least 1 but that is enough) of malware. My two internet browsers won't let me on your site unless I turn the malware checks off.
  6. My virus program says that NMM has malware imbedded in the setup.exe program. So, I won't use it until you resolve this issue.
  7. Whenever "California Girls -- UNP" gets updated or new files are added, why is this not shown in "recently new" or latest "files."
  8. I read yesterday that Skyrim has fixed the bug that allows best armor to be worn. What I see is a kluge that reloads armors of NPC's when you visit an area and it is not always correct. Why can't they just make it generic like in the CK. In the CK, it is immediate: the best armor is worn. There is no kluge when changing between NPCs. I also read that SR is also supposed to be Large address Aware and that Steam disabled this feature because it was buggy. My computer has 6GB and it dies at just over 2GB. Yesterday, I was trying to modify a dialogue that loads a particular script by replacing it with a parallel script (equivalent script) used in exactly the same manner elsewhere. The CK didn't recognize that the script existed. So, I tried to add the existing script as a new script. What the CK does is take the name (ID) and enter it into the system without it being the actual script. Trying many other things, I noticed that the name stays in the CK system even if the mod in question is not loaded. Also, once I misspelled the name, i.e. tif__ instead of tif_, which gives me a message that the name already exists (for a new script) but doesn't exist for an existing script. This gave me pause to ruminate that maybe others make similar mistakes and that the CK and Skyrim are filled with them causing massive bugs and memory leaks. What do you think? (please, no Skyrim apologists, I hope this leads to some serious discussion for fixes or work-arounds.)
  9. On Windows7 64, there are several files located at Users\[user name you are playing Skyrim with]\AppData\Local\Skyrim. TMM uses plugins.txt and updates loadorder.txt. The other two files are SteamModList.txt and DLCList.txt. TMM changes the date-time stamp, which is good if you want to load several mods in the order you want them loaded in the CK because the CK uses the actual date-time stamp, which can cause problems. I wouldn't use BOSS more than once because it doesn't know about many of the mods and puts them at the end of the load order, which will cause major proglems. There is an automatic backup system for mods, but none for load order, which I think is seriously remiss.
