  1. Well to answer your question, We inherit telomeres from our parents, but no matter the length of our telomeres at birth, everyone’s get shorter as they age. Shorter telomeres have a negative effect on our health. Telomere shortening is the main cause of age-related break down of our cells. When telomeres get too short (ageing), our cells can no longer reproduce, which causes our tissues to degenerate and eventually die. Some cells, like those found in the skin, hair and immune system, are most affected by telomere shortening because they reproduce more often. The problem with getting in to the vault is not answerable, I don't see a way to enter the vault from the outside. But a lot of what you say has merit, I also have a theory that fathers strong hatred of the railroad has to do with the fact that its probable the railroad stole the tech that gives them the ability to change the memories of synths just like the Institute, That's the reason they can give the synths new lives. That is unless you think Tinker Tom was able to come up with that one on his own, which would make Einstein look like a Idiot. So much of the game is vague, that speculation can go on like who killed Kennedy.
  2. Here's my theory, first off the Institute was not cloning any one, they were creating Synthetic humans. The difference being, In theory cloning gives you a identical duplicate, synthetic is the creation of a new race that is made of DNA assembled in the lab. With the right knowledge DNA from a potato can be used to create that race, it is all about knowledge to properly sequence the DNA for a desirable trait. If that is the level of knowledge that the Institute had reached, then memories could also be encoded in the brain, all memories are just the creation of synaptic links, you create those links everyday. Synth Shaun supposedly had his memories changed at the will of the Institute. After father dies Shaun the synth, makes statements that tell you that he is father. Father knew that he was going to die and the most logical solution to his death is to have his thoughts and memories transferred. Mankind redefined. Just a theory
  3. Good one, :) Enclave and a Constitution, Elitism at its finest.
  4. I would have answered you, but the forum doesn't allow copy and paste. Sorry
  5. Same for me, I don't care about the Quests, the loot, the settlements or having a companion to get a perk. I just create a world of my own, sit on the beach at Nordhagen, or build a home east of the vault 111. That for 14 bucks on steam, yah it's worth it.
  6. The work you've done on the Raven Rock command center is amazing, you are clearly talented.
  7. Oh, hell yeah. That's a great Idea. I really like the concept, and the multiple paths the story line could take. If only I knew more about modding, but I would be willing to help make it happen.
  8. Have you tried Disable Enable? or maybe resetAi if you want the doc to disappear then just disable.
  9. It is not necessary to connect to any one if you are playing mods. Just don't have a connection to the internet active, and when you start the game just click on the play offline button for steam. FO4 should then start. If you are playing with friends on line that is not possible.
  10. Well I've had it happen at the start of the game, no mods. Left the house in sanctuary with Nora, get to the pad at the entrance of the vault and, hello she is two toned. It must be from going from one cell to another, happens when going through a door, fast travel and loading a save. Always random. Wonder why it hasn't been investigated by the developers? It only changes the face, and Preston has never turned white, at least not in any play through of mine.
  11. I have had this game for about 8 or 9 months now, and I have noticed some changes. Not sure if all changes are related to game play or Beth thinking they know better then me what I want, like: I no longer find Synth components in almost every Synth, when I started this game I could save the game, kill the NPC and know if it was a synth or not. Dogmeat is now just dog. Cigarette machines hardly have cigarettes. Dialog options have been trimmed to give the same response, with a few words preceding the response. I just recently realized it, and wanted to see what other long time players have noticed. I do let steam and Beth have their way with me so everything stays updated. A good change. I can now get out of the shed at the drive-in.
  12. I'm done, Steam is causing me nothing but problems and now FO4 CTD everytime. Steam wants to reinstall FO4, again for the 6th time.
  13. I could not have said it better, I started with Fallout 1 and watched as RPG's died a slow death. In the gaming corporate mind, the money is in the shooters, less thinking by the players is needed.
  14. I have an I7, 1070ti, Nvidia optimum settings and get frames that drop to 20 in some places. You might try skinned down settings and see if the problem pops up again.
  15. I hope Bethesda keeps giving the player the ability to shape a game to fit. That has been their greatest gift. Just give us the sand box with out to many rules, and we can play for years. Force us to be owned by a BS quest that has to be completed to finish the game, the golden goose dies. Just my O.
  16. Ya, It is a mess to try and share a vid, it's possible but very difficult, and buggy. I hope they kill the bugs soon.
  17. Welcome to the monetized world, don't worry about Beth, she will do fine.
  18. This is just an Idea, it might have to do with the scale of the scope not matching the scale of the player. In that case just re scale the scope.
  19. The message concerning your GPU could have to do with the driver failing, not the card itself. If the message is indeed about the card itself, then there's the possibility it runs too hot. That would explain why it didn't happen in the beginning but only started happening after a while. Dust smothering either the GPU's fan or the ventilation of your PC case is clogged. Or both. Worst case scenario, the GPU is at the end of its tether. I mean, it's a card that is six years old, meanwhile. A new GPU would be welcomed in your rig. A 2600K and 16GB of RAM are above average still and can render good services for another couple of years. Whatever you're getting as GPU make sure it has at least 8GB of V-RAM. The MSI RX470 GamerX 8GB I bought in August 2016 isn't more powerfull than the R7970 Lightning I had, but it's the extra 5GB of RAM that does the trick. Though I still use ENBoost for FO4, to stay on the sure side. I agree, sounds like a over heating GPU
  20. My mind says that Synth Shawn was created for the sole purpose of having fathers thoughts and memories transferred. Synth Shawn would then be able to be with has parents for the rest of their life as a son substitute. That is why it becomes so important after father dies that SynthShwn is accepted by the player. Father asked directly on the roof of the CIT ruins if the player could accept a synth as a person. or something to that effect.
  21. PC console command - player.additem 136331; SetStage b1752 1000 =Garvey is in the Concord Hotel, and I'm in the Institute. No Railroad, No BOS, No Minuteman BS.
