  1. There have been several reports of Upgraded Armor and Weapons messing up lately, so whenever "items dropping everywhere" comes up it's the obvious mod to look for.
  2. For my money Project ENB is all I need. It's designed specifically with Climates of Tamriel in mind. It has three presets: realistic, fantasy and cinematic.
  3. Re the green tinge - have you updated your graphics driver? The transparency issue has to do with ambient occlusion - not really much you can do about it other than turning off SSAO
  4. I could swear I had seen a similar thread to this recently and after a little searching I think I found it: it's Upgraded Weapons and Armor doing it! Link
  5. msn is a model-space normal map, don't know the specifics but they are used for characters and possibly other stuff I don't know about :)
  6. I'm gonna keep harping on about ENB because I genuinely don't know what's going on with those shadows :hurr: : are you using the classic Sharpshooter or the 2.0 version? I noticed in the readme that 2.0 requires Climates of Tamriel -- maybe that would help? Edit: I just realized the classic version includes Realistic Lighting -- are you using that?
  7. Does it still look like that if you turn off the ENB with shift+F12?
  8. Actually, that sort of is fully rendered -- that's the LOD texture. For some reason the proper texture isn't loading. It would be fieldgrass or fielddirtgrass, I believe. What bothers me is the farm screenshot -- there are several textures blended in that area and none are showing, suggesting something might be up with the mesh? :psyduck:
  9. I really don't know enough about this stuff to help but maybe can? He goes through how to scale and re-position a sword before importing to NifSkope. I know there's a rotate setting in the nif's properties but I don't know if those are supposed to be messed with. Skeletons and stuff like that confuse me
  10. I believe this is the work of fShadowLODStartFade in SkyrimPrefs.ini - try bumping it up to 400.
  11. Masser and Secunda are the moons, they shouldn't have any impact on tree LODs. Are you using Skyrim Flora Overhaul or any other tree-related texture mods and did you run them through DDSopt? Kinda looks like the same issue another guy on here was having with missing mip-maps.
  12. Are you using an ENB? That kinda looks like shadow dithering which can happen if iBlurDeferredShadowMask (in SkyrimPrefs.ini) is lower than 5 when using ENB's enhanced shadow processing.
  13. I had a look at the textures and the problem wasn't compression, they were already compressed properly -- the issue is that several of them were missing mip-maps completely. When you recompressed them, whatever application you used probably generated new mip-maps and that solved it for you :) DXT5 is unnecessary as the diffuse textures don't have alpha channels.
  14. Like I said, every damn weekend. People have time off from work and wanna catch up on their mods -- unprepared Nexus is unprepared. Time to pay up for AWS! >D
  15. Which mod manager are you using? If you're using Mod Organizer, remember that it has its own inis that you edit through Mod Organizer itself.
  16. Maybe you could have a look at some of the backpack mods? I opened up one of frankdema's backpacks in Nifskope to have a look: http://i.imgur.com/y8osFMv.jpg
  17. Langley's Wood, Metal and Stone Textures Workshop has a version of the Steam Centurion you might want to check out. :)
  18. Read up on this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/904953-how-to-merge-multiple-mods-with-multiple-master-files/
  19. Looked through my mod list and picked some I really like: Dungeon Quest Awareness - might be a bit spoiler-ish, but I love it. It adds notes to dungeons and locations related to quests so you don't go trundling in there before you get the quest. It'll say something like Random Dungeon (Quest - Falkreath) when you discover locations that are quest related.Even Better Quest Objectives - changes quest descriptions to be more, well, descriptive as to where you need to go, instead of just blindly following a quest marker on your compass. The Paarthurnax Dilemma - gives you a choice, I won't say more :)The Choice is Yours - again, gives you a choice whether you want to accept certain quests that were previously just added to your quest log willy-nilly.Immersive HUD - lets you hide the HUD and crosshair when you don't need it, as well as toggle the compass on/off. I also like pairing it with Less Intrusive HUD.Unread Books Glow - does what it says on the tin. Also adds an asterisk to unread books. Bowlegged Jump Animation FixNo Spinning Death animation + no twitching dragon death animationBetter Turn Animation only one pose - you'll want to delete the shout specific animations as they're not really working :)YY Anim Mystic Knight - adds different animations for sneaking, standing, magic and one-handed swords. Some animations might be seen as slightly feminine though. The installer allows you to pick and choose which animations you want. Consistent Older People - makes some skin changes to old folks to make the head-body transition better.Acquisitive Soul Gems - prevents trapped souls from going in the wrong soul gem. No more grand soul gem with a petty soul in it!Shooting Stars - adds, well, shooting stars to the night sky. Diverse Priests - gives the priests of different divines colored robes.Project Reality - Climates of Tamriel - adds new weather patternsRealistic Lighting Overhaul - better interior lightingLanterns of Skyrim - adds lanterns to towns and along the main roadsWearable Lanterns - lets you either hold or wear a lanternHeight Adjusted Races with True GiantsAlternate Start - Live Another Life - I really hate the vanilla beginning. If you want a close to vanilla start, choose "I am camping in the woods".Ars Metallica - smithing enhancementsRun For Your Lives - makes townsfolk run inside when dragons attackBring Out Your Dead - adds graves for NPCs who dieGildergreen Regrown - lets you see the Gildergreen regrow properly if you choose the non-violent pathHarvest Overhaul - you get more stuff when harvestingDuel - Combat Realism - makes enemy AI better and changes combat, imo, for the better. Maybe a tad too much blocking going on :)Grass on Steroids - taller and denser grass with a twist: it can actually improve your FPS while still giving you more grass than vanilla. For more mods, check out the STEP project or Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited.
  20. SSAO is disabled because you're using in-game or driver forced antialiasing. Sadly, no version of ENB since 0.119 supports the use of hardware AA. Your options are to not use AA (instead using SMAA or ENB's blurry as heck edgeAA) or to use the older 0.119 release. My advice, download the 0.119 dll, and go get Project ENB here on the Nexus.
  21. I guess he could try Arthmoor's Alternate Start - Live Another Life to escape the mindnumbing tedium of the vanilla intro sequence. And also the script stuff... :D
  22. During the week, the timeouts/slow loading don't happen that often, but come the weekend everything goes straight down the toilet. Clearly we need to ban weekends to save the Nexus! :ohdear:
  23. Did you regenerate your Skyrim preference files after changing your graphics card? It kind of sounds like you forgot, leaving the ini file and rendererinfo with outdated information; installing ENB would have made the game change the renderer settings to be accurate.
