I am not an infomercial, I am simply excited for the future of Vortex now that it's at 1.0 I am sorry there is confusion regarding terminology and methodology and that you dislike aspects of the program. There are a couple things I don't like either. But we need programs like Vortex as I strongly suspect companies like Bethesda will try to implement draconian mod programs of their own that lock players into their playground and not let anyone else in. So when Vortex is a fully fleshed out powerhouse by the time the next Elder Scrolls comes out, it would be outrageous if they try to lock down modding and people will speak out hard. Change is hard, and I personally hope you embrace the change and the confusion regarding terminology is cleared up. Vortex is the future and as such it will change the terminology for a whole new generation of gamer's. Us older folk like myself with families and responsibilities who can't devote as much time to the hobby can't wait until Vortex MOD PACK support comes out, etc. Vortex I am sure as time goes on will become via plugins what everyone wants - and that leave you free Arthmoor to create a plug-in of exactly what you want! That's why Vortex is the mod manager of the future. At least from my perspective.

Arthmoor, why do you seem so angry? I have carefully read this entire forum thread and it's obvious you greatly dislike Vortex. I just don't understand why you seem to be on a mission of some sorts to trigger or piss off the developers of Vortex and the staff of the Nexus. Vortex is a masterpiece and is a fantastic tool once you learn it completely. It embarrasses NMM and MO2, and it truly is the mod manager of the future - and beyond. It will revolutionize the way the "everyday man and woman" can enjoy various mods in future games, like the next Elder Scrolls which is going to be massive. The Nexus needs no defending, as it has proven itself to the community via the hard work done by the staff at the Nexus. The point of my post is I simply don't understand why you are angry. Why not embrace the change and learn to work with it, instead of fighting the future that Tannin and the Nexus are creating for us? Vortex will revolutionize the game when MOD PACK support comes out, opening up modding for so many more people! It's exciting!
  3. In response to post #67933741. I agree with opt-out, but in order to push the ModPack feature and make it legitimate again modders who choose to opt-in should be rewarded in some way financially.
  4. I am hoping by starting now the ModPack feature will be the "killer app" of the NexusMods by the time the sequel to Skyrim is out, in 2022 or 2023 after everyone has mostly forgotten about Fallout 76 ;)
  5. I am eager to see this ModPack functionality. I would love to simply press one button and download another users modlist to try out, with Vortex installing all the mods one after another in the correct order. Mod creators must get proper credit and be allowed to opt-out of the system. Mod creators who opt-in should be rewarded financially. Making it easier to bulk install mods will benefit everyone. I am getting seriously tired of digging around for mods and installing complex systems. I have three boys now and I don't have the time anymore! lol
  6. Unidentified exception 5 Cause: The exception involves some ATI driver component or ATI layout tool or "AMD Hydra Vision". What to do: Update the driver - uninstall the layout tool/hydra vision. I didn't find much about the layout tool (layout as in: affecting how windows are laid out on the screen) but from what I understand it was abandoned and hopelessly outdated 5 years ago. Hydra vision has been outdated and unsupported since 2016. I got this to happen to me, I sent this report in. Still trying to figure out how to remove this damned hydra vision.
  7. In response to post #59131806. Why not purchase premium? I had it once and it is well worth it. Hardly anyone uses it it seems so I was getting 10 Mb/s download speeds at minimum

  10. When Vortex is done, will Nexus start charging for it? How are the people developing it getting paid?
  11. Please revert back to the old style. The new layout is less efficient than the old one. A pointless change.
  12. I do not like the new format of the Nexus. How do I go back to the old layout I prefer? It was letting me use the old layout for the past few weeks, then suddenly I don't see the old layout. How do I use the old layout, and never the new one?
