since I loot everything that isn't nailed down, couldn't figure out what he was talking about either

IIRC he has no issues with super sledge, minigun (you should have one of these in reserve from the Museum of Freedom), but I wouldn't trust him with a missile launcher

when you reinstalled did the game go through the formal check of your hardware before it attempted to start the first game -
read through your load order very slowly notice that some of them seem to be hitting the same nail over and over again *Homemaker - Greenhouse and Bunker Disabler.esp*Homemaker - Unlocked Institute Objects.esp*Homemaker - Greenhouse and Bunker Disabler SKE.esp*Homemaker - Bunker Disabler SKE.esp*Homemaker - Greenhouse Disabler SKE.esp*Homemaker - Streetlights Use Passive Power SKE.esp*Homemaker - Streetlights Use Passive Power.esp*Homemaker - Unlocked Institute Objects SKE.esp and since your load order doesn't even list the DLCs these should auto-krash you before you even get to load a save *Vivid Weathers - FO4 - Far Harbor.esp*Vivid Weathers - Nuka World.esp

Yeah, the quick and dirty way is to mount your entire tower case (with bolts, ducktape, whatever) onto a rackmount slider. 19" is really wide for most tower cases. It will do. Just that if I mount about 4-5 of these, it is just really messy (like downtown Boston after the apocalypse). oh, 4+ PCs in a rack silly just drop a shelf on the rack, put 2 towers on it then another shelf and of course another 2 towers remove the sides and lash it down with zip ties https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Adjustable-Mounting-Depth-Vented/dp/B0013KCLQC/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1495665003&sr=8-6&keywords=rackmount+shelf

can a standard PC case fan be swapped into the rack? (if so, simply shop for a silent one)

try the classical solution reload good save play to near where it crashes save the game get yourself killed QUICKLY let it reload from the last save see if that fixes it

that should have been nuked when you deleted the preferences file

then its not the easy common problem

post the path that steam is installed into

always worked fine for me put one of those fancy (square base) vault wire connectors on the outside of the second floor and connect it to power source power runs through the second floor IIRC those long covered stairs can also be used to convey power to a different floor

strangely, haven't been able to get any settlement budget mod to work
-
you installed them all manually which one touched anything named strings (directory or file names)

experimentally delete your preferences file documents > my games > fallout4 > files named fallout4, fallout4custom, and fallout4prefs one at a time or all at once --- remember to save them -- if only in your recycle bin betting its only the fallout4prefs that needs to be canned the game should regenerate it upon game restart
