  1. Judging from the number of anti-Vortex rants I've read over the years, the answer to your question is 'yes'. However, I can't think of a single one which wasn't clearly a case of PEBKAC or a gripe about the UI. Vortex is fairly easy to use but for games that have lots of sophisticated mods with a number of different options and dependencies (like Skyrim) it is highly recommended to read Vortex's documentation, the mod descriptions & mod comments pages in order to anticipate and avoid conflicts.
  2. Where the 'Filters' heading currently is would be the most logical spot, I would think....

  4. I feel your pain. I don't think I've spent so much time in any other game which has so many irritating deficiencies that could have easily been avoided with a little forethought and common sense. Here's some more gripes: 1. Having to be at a precise angle to a vehicle in order to mount the turret2. The activate key (E by default on PC) being used for multiple actions often in exactly the same space - you want to pick up the weapon, but you can only activate the NPC3. Poorly placed meshes so that you get stuck in the terrain or in a large boulder and have to fast travel or quit the game4. Dodgy lighting rendering in caves and tunnels5. Overly verbose Wolves 6. Parachuting off a ledge when you wanted to mount the ladder to descend7. Rigid inflatable boats that become unusable when they're partially on land8. Patchy sound design9. Fog in interiors10. Military vehicles that can be penetrated by small arms fire11. NPCs that abandon a vehicle that has a turret in order to chase you down On the plus side, the default Wolves voice sounds exactly like Neil deGrasse Tyson.... The Spartan mod improved the experience for me, however.
  5. What about an addiction to love....?
  6. Given you attributed to me something I did not write, 'word salad' would be a more accurate term for your post. But an even more apt term would be: outright fabrication. As I pointed out to you in another thread, calling someone a hypocrite is not an insult. It is the word used to describe someone who prescribes behaviour that they themselves fail to adhere to. If you find it insulting, perhaps it's because it hit the mark. Bullseye!
  7. Please provide the source for me "giving him a pass on it". Nothing in my post referred to 'him'. Not only are you clearly a hypocrite (which you didn't can't deny because it's easily verified on this forum) you also attribute to people things they did not write and views they do not hold. You could have legitimately called me out for not providing sources for my claims about your double standard, but I suspect you didn't as it could've got rather embarrassing for you. And by your own standard above, you would've then been whining at me for not 'citing sources'. See how silly it is to try to belittle someone's comment by describing it as whining.....? And of course, if you were to legitimately call someone out for being a hypocrite, it wouldn't be whining, would it.....
  8. Reading comprehension fail. I was not addressing you, I was replying to HeyYou and you can clearly see this from the quote I excerpted. *Ahem*... this is a public forum, not Private Messenger, where any viewers can and may reply, so he has every right. This is a non sequitur but not only that, I'm sure that even you, given you seem to struggle with logic, can understand the utter chaos which would ensue if anyone could arbitrarily decide that even though someone was not replying to them, they could assert the right to act as if they were. A right that you just made up. But since we're just arbitrarily making up rights with no thought given to how ridiculous they are, I'd like to assert my right to come over to your house every Wednesday at 2pm so I can urinate on your keyboard. Note I'm being courteous and letting you know the date and time so that you can avoid splashes. Unless of course, you're into watersports.... Then again, upon reading the last sentence of your signature, your reply above makes total sense.....

  10. It appears that you don't like the taste of your own medicine. You are objectively a serial offender when it comes to not posting sources to substantiate your claims, even when you are politely asked to and even when it would improve the quality of the discussion. What's worse is that you routinely ignore or casually dismiss sources posted by someone else in support of their points if they contradict your opinion. Pot. Kettle. Black.
  11. If nothing's changed, why did you post here asking if there are any other changes....?
  12. This can be set as the best answer and this thread can then be closed.
  13. The generally accepted wisdom now is to not clean any of the Bethesda DLC/ESMs* with the exception of the Oblivion DLC as they are .esp plugins. Discussion here for reference. *With the caveat for Skyrim that one is using USSEP.
  14. Really? Fallout 3??? That's wild. Beth had said they were 'done' with FO3 YEARS ago........ The StarField dev team found all the bugs in StarField so they were twiddling their thumbs. Guess they found some things do do.*
  15. The issue may not be with your hardware. From the VivaNewVegas guide:
  16. What else would they sell it for? Dank memes? Hugs?
  17. For Morrowind, I recommend using OpenMW which means you won't have to worry about installing the engine fixes, graphical extenders and most of the bug fixing mods. Most mods will work with OpenMW, just be sure to read up on how to install mods using OpenMW. It's not complicated. There isn't a never-ending debate on Vortex vs MO2. Both are very good tools that do more or less the same job in different ways. Some people prefer MO2 but often it's because that's what they learned to use first. I found Vortex slightly easier to pick up and use without needing to do a tutorial first but you don't need to invest much time into learning how to use each to mod a game. Resolving mod conflicts will require a bit more dedication, however, in particular how to resolve mod conflicts using each mod manager and also the other community-developed tools like xEdit, etc.
  18. People have been claiming this for years but they never put a timeframe on it so they can continue to claim that it's going to happen and avoid admitting they were wrong. Don't be a coward like the rest of the soothsayers, say when it will happen. It already is and has been for some time.
  19. Try the official support forum.
  20. Couple of fairly obvious logic fails here: 1. She's not wearing any armour at all, let alone skimpy armour; 2. How is real-world history relevant to the lore of a fantasy game? I see examples of #2 every now and then in the comments section of mod pages - this wrong-headed assertion that aspects of a fantasy world can be mapped onto the real world (or vice versa) as if one is more-or-less the past/future of the other. Regardless, I couldn't care less about skimpy armours and lore-friendliness. People are entitled to mod the game how they wish and have fun doing it.
  21. You just made that up. 'Rubbish' in this context is subjective and doesn't always correlate with number of downloads. Again, you just made that up. Nothing is made up, it's from reading the posts tab in mods. That which is asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence. In the 15 or so years I've been modding, I would've read hundreds if not thousands of comments on mod pages and I've never encountered someone who was angry that a mod was incompatible with a popular mod. I have, however, read many comments by angry, entitled, obstinate mod-users who think that other people should solve their problems for them. Earlier in this thread you said 'it's too late now' to do this. Now you're saying it can be done for the next game and that Nexus Mods should implement it as part of the process of uploading a mod. Since that's the case, I look forward to seeing your post in the site feedback forum suggesting this idea, and Nexus Mod's response to you. However, I won't hold my breath since, given your form in this thread, you seem to prefer mental masturbation rather than doing something actually productive. For the community and yourself.
