  1. Telekenisis. Telepathy......
  2. I've been here since 2007 and I've never seen you before so it must have been a dream you had.
  3. I would've thought there would be a number of forum themes built-in in order to modify the colour scheme. Edit: Apparently there is....
  4. I find the white text on black background (such as the content in the quote boxes and the text box when typing a post) too much of a contrast to read comfortably. Perhaps it's just me - would be interested to see if anyone else agrees.
  5. Your biased value judgement is unnecessary and inaccurate and, given your years in the community you should know better. By your logic, using a mod manager, or BethINI or any number of other modding automation tools would also be 'the lazy way out'. Collections and curated mod lists are popular because it means you can be playing the game you want more quickly than if you had to install everything and resolve all the conflicts yourself. Is that being lazy in your world? The implication of your comment is that not using a collection is somehow a more noble method of modding your game. It isn't. De-bias your mind from this mode of thinking. It will likely create more problems. If you want to do this, I recommend you become familiar with SSEEdit in order to identify and resolve any conflicts that arise. In terms of whether it will be easier and faster to download every mod independently - it would depend on the size of the collection and the nature of the mods included. I would think that in general it would still be faster to use a collection as you would still need to spend time resolving conflicts that may otherwise have been resolved in the parts of the collection you decided to retain.
  6. If you search on YouTube, you'll find lots of videos showcasing 'next-gen' Skyrim and usually the creator provides a link to their modlist. Here's an example.
  7. There is a very useful and highly under-utilised website called Google, which you can use to find what you want, using a mere fraction of the words you used above. And someone else doesn't have to do your work for you. Everybody benefits....

  9. From what I've read your theories appear to be of the 'kill it before it spreads' kind. That's a relief as I, and I'm sure many others, considered them to be rather amusing given how half-baked they are. You don't say. Perhaps you should remember that next time you're tempted to offer an opinion in a domain you're.....naive and uneducated about. Do you have theories about mental health disorders too? Given your previous form I imagine they're also disastrously deficient in evidential support and logic. If you're so fragile that someone pointing out the deficiencies in your content causes you to have such an emotional meltdown, perhaps you should avoid discussion forums and social gatherings in general....
  10. I said you were naive as you were clearly taking an idealistic view of a domain in which ideals are fairly irrelevant and about which you clearly know very little about. I never said you were uneducated - you adroitly demonstrated that yourself. But let me clearly spell out for you what I do think and was able to prove: you are an unashamed bullsh!tter who tries to appear authoritative regarding a domain you know very little about and when the clear and obvious deficiencies of your opinion are pointed out to you, you try to weasel out of it by using slimey tactics like passing it off as a 'figure of speech'. Clearly you lack the courage to own what you wrote. No you haven't. Making mods isn't BGS development. That sounds like a line someone would use to pad their resume. Please continue posting your BS - I will enjoy continuing to expose you as a dishonest bloviator.
  11. How surprising - more redundant words! And not one of them responding to my request that you post the link to the STEP thread where you asked for help. There isn't one is there? How about posting a link to a thread where everyone blasts you for the number of esps your modlist contains. I suspect you enjoy moaning about your problems more than you are motivated to actually resolve them. In fact, I think your posts are more about a cry for attention than actually resolving mod conflicts. Please stop wasting everyone's time, including your own.
  12. Another post that contains twice as many words as necessary. I'm starting to see a pattern here - people recommending you not do something and you ignoring them. Post a link to the thread at the STEP forums where you asked for help with your STEP LE install.
  13. Writing a novella every time you post doesn't help either. Try channeling Hemingway. People won't help you if it necessitates having to read a whiny rant first. Your first problem is that you are using Oldrim/SLE meaning the potential for issues to arise is increased. Lots of people prefer Oldrim but usually they are veteran mod users who understand how to avoid, find and resolve conflicts. SSE isn't perfect either but at least it's foundationally more stable than Oldrim and it's easier to get it to a state where it (almost) never crashes. I recommend using STEP to create a foundation of mods/utilities that ensure Skyrim is as stable and bug-free as possible via a modlist that is already conflict-resolved. STEP doesn't support Oldrim anymore, but if you insist on using Oldrim you should be able to find the old STEP modlist for Oldrim. The STEP community will also help you with any problems you might encounter. Of course, you'll want to add further mods on top of STEP and to help avoid and resolve conflicts you could use 'The Method' as described in the xEdit documentation. Be methodical, read mod descriptions and understand how the tools you are using work before using them to modify your modlist and resolve conflicts.
  14. Is that supposed to be some sort of edgy, obscure leap of logic? I have no idea how it relates to what I wrote.
  15. If you'd thought about this for a moment, you would've hopefully realised how naive it is. No game development company would make a decision that has such a massive impact on productivity and profits on the basis of modder comfort. More than likely the reasons are some combination of: 1. Economic - not wanting to give away 5% of turnover to use someone else's proprietary technology, especially when what they've built internally provides more or less what they need at a fraction of the cost 2. Risk management - not wanting to rely on someone else to provide the platform which essentially generates the entire revenue of the company i.e. the game engine 3. Provides opportunities for team members to develop skills that are valuable across a variety of tech disciplines. Can you imagine Todd or the VP - Finance presenting to a group of shareholders that the dividend is going to be 5% less than last year because they were concerned about modder comfort....
  16. The main reason is that most of your posts that I've seen are either whining about some aspect of a game, or justifying why you quit playing a game. Most people don't want to read someone else's negativity. The time you spend writing needlessly negative posts could've been spent contributing positively to the community. It sounds like I'm having a crack at you - I'm not. It's my honest impression after reading some of your posts over the past few weeks. One reason why these forums aren't as active anymore is that many users have moved over to Discord.
  17. From: to: a try of sarcasm on my post ? So sarcasm is only funny/successful when you're not the target? It's always harder to laugh at oneself, isn't it.... On the contrary I found showler's sarcasm to be hilariously on point and the fact that you were the target, given your recent behaviour on these forums, only added to my delight. Have you personally exempted yourself from the admonition in your forum signature when it comes to concocting conspiracies about Bethesda and Microsoft....? There's a term for that. I've often found it to be the case that people with preachy forum signatures lack the self-awareness to reflect on their behaviour and modify it in future....
  18. Your Viva New Vegas Guide link doesn't work So I have run into a issue with the guide, I have gotten to the bug fixing part and the guide is telling me to install Iron SIghts Aligned. But the guides not saying about adding the required mods to make the main mod work. The Iron Sights Aligned requires ISControl Enabler which the guide had me download already and then B42 Optics which then that mod requires 2 more mods for it to work. So there are a total of 3 mods I got to install that the guide does not talk about, do I download all the required mods or just install what the guide tells me and nothing else??? Also so far yes the guide has fixed my crashing issue so far so I dont want to deviate from it too much until it says I can. This sounds familiar but I can't remember exactly what to do here - it's been a while since I last used the guide and there have been a few changes since. Best to ask in the VNV Discord. It's usually fairly active.

  21. That's quite the non sequitur. An absence of knowledge necessitates that feelings exist. You have a rare talent at indulging in logical fallacies and jumping to conclusions based on no evidence. Do you always insist that someone has feelings about something even after they tell you that they don't? That could be rather creepy. Not to mention quite arrogant. Do you find that it works on people you are interested in romantically? You: Hi, my name is 7531Leonidas and I can tell you have feelings for me. Him/Her: I'm sorry but I don't You: Oh but you do. Him/Her: Look, I'm sure you're a nice guy who doesn't at all suffer from crippling confirmation bias and an inability to string together logically coherent sentences, but I don't have feelings for you. You: I can detect the feelings in another person's head, even over the internet. Him/Her: Is this another one of your delusions, like that time you thought you had a PhD in climate science...? You: I've got an Honorary qualification - here's the badge that proves it. Some random guy on the internet sent it to me - look the words are in gold crayon. Fixed it for you. I'm not going to read any more of your replies. Given you struggle with logic, you're too scared to post your sources and you seem to think, bizarrely, that there's not enough room on the forums for a robust discussion, I can't see this conversation being terribly productive.
