Running any settlement mods? Is it ALL of your settlers, or just in specific locations?
-
Can't you just resize the window??
-
How about this one?
-
Gotta be added by a mod......
-
I think the marker is added by the game itself, when it detects mods in a save. Basically, all it really means is, you don't get trophies/achievements, or whatever they are called on PC. But, there is a mod to fix that as well.
-
If any of your saves were made using those mods, you ARE going to have issues. Still have problems if you start NEW game?

Malware first in Advertising, then as induced crashes
HeyYou replied to JIYONTEKUZA's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Whats a CyberPower 880? All I am coming up with is surge protectors..... If you are seeing advertising in-game, or at your windows desktop, then you are infected with malware. Scan your system. Use more than one tool. You are premium user, so, you shouldn't be seeing advertising on this site in any event. -

"Ctrl-F" is your friend! :whistling: No it isn't....... :D It hates me. I can hear it laughing at me when I press those keys. Its an evil laugh. I can hear it mumbling in the background. "so, you think I am going to find something for you? Ha! You got another thing comin' buddy....." -
The NRA has never sold a single firearm. Not one. That's not what they do. They teach firearm SAFETY. They advocate for our 2nd Amendment rights. You know, the ones enshrined in our constitution? Mexico severely limits ownership of personal firearms. Do the cartels care? Nope. They have better weapons than most cops. And they have MILITARY grade weapons, and NOT just from the USA. Lots of ex-soviet era weapons there as well. (AK-47 is one of THE most popular weapons ever made.... and are still easily available in many markets.) Iraq, and Yemen, were both countries at war. Iraq was actually MORE free BEFORE we gave Saddam the boot. (yes, that was a mistake, and we are going to be paying for that one for quite some time.) And who is to say that India, et. al. wouldn't have won their freedom much sooner, had the 'peons' been armed?? I have no experience with Australia, so I can't comment on that one. But you, apparently, have a major burr up your backside about the NRA, and republicans in general. I greatly suspect that a fair bit of your attitude is simply due to the misinformation you have been fed all of your life about the evils of personal firearm ownership, and the NRA is likely advocating shooting babies........ There are somewhat less than 350 million people in the US, there are around 100 million guns. Only a VERY tiny percentage of those guns are EVER used in a crime. And the funniest part about that is, the guns most commonly used in crimes, are handguns. But, what is the left trying to ban??? So called "Assault Rifles", which they can't even reasonably define. Now, keep in mind, these so-called assault rifles, are a subset of 'long guns', long guns, to include rifles and shotguns, are used in less than 3% of ALL gun crime. Yet these are the ones the left wants to regulate/ban.... Talk about tilting at windmills...... Parents INTENTIONALLY kill more CHILDREN than long guns kill people every year..... But, the mainstream media would have you believe that every thug on the street is running around with military grade weaponry, when nothing could be further from the truth. I get it though. You are European, hence, the populace there has been disarmed for centuries. (millennia?) It is part of your culture. Not the case here. We have had the right to bear arms since before we were even an independent sovereign power. We have remained that way for more than 200 years. Don't expect that to change without a fight. And the folks that are fighting to KEEP it that way, are the ones with all the guns. Think about THAT before you start making noise about confiscating my firearms.

Quick help with headshot multiplier
HeyYou replied to Cr4ckTh3Skye's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Gonna have to figure out which mod it was, and simply reinstall it. -
HHhmmmm.... wonder what beths reasoning there was..... I don't recall Avery being involved in that quest at all. (but, it's been a while, and I may be missing something.)
-
Take a look at what happened in multiple countries when the populace was disarmed..... Millions dead at the hands of their government. We already are well aware that bans simply don't work. We banned alcohol back in the 20's, and what happened? Organized crime grew on a massive scale. Drugs are banned in the US, yet they are easily available anywhere you go. Banning guns won't magically make them disappear. It will only serve to disarm the law-abiding. (which, by their very definition, criminals, are NOT.) Look what happened in Australia... Sure, when they banned guns, GUN deaths decreased, however, violent crime actually INCREASED. There is no practical way to disarm the american populace. It simply isn't going to happen. Attempting a forced confiscation would only foment another civil war. Not to mention that the number of unregistered guns out there would make them impossible to track. Do you see the american people sitting still for the government doing a house-to-house search for firearms??? I sure don't...... Yes, there are bad cops out there. Are they ALL bad? Nope. Not even close. And if you believe they all are, whom do you call when you need one? Or do you take it upon yourself to peacefully protest the armed intruders in your house?

So what do you propose for those laws? Currently, the wealth gap in the US is the biggest it ever has been, and is increasing. Income for the top 5% has been increasing dramatically, while for the rest of us, it has remained pretty much stagnant. Every day you can read about some company going bankrupt, yet the top management gets millions of dollars from their 'golden parachutes'. Meanwhile, all the folks that were collecting pensions, are now left out in the cold..... A couple decades ago, a man would get a job, and stay there for most, if not all, of his working career. Not any more. I think the average 'lifespan' of a typical job these days is about 3 years..... What has changed? Society has. We keep getting more government intervention via the EPA, and various 'insurance' policies that the government requires...... such as Unemployment Insurance..... (which, for the employer, is pretty much useless, as even though they have been paying into that fund, if some employee starts collecting unemployment, the EMPLOYER still gets to pay it. NOT the state. What have they been doing with all that money they collect????? We also have the problem of a government that simply does not seem to be able to operate within a reasonable budget. They ALWAYS have a shortfall, on the order of a trillion dollars per year. Hence, the US is now something to the tune of 25 Trillion dollars, and climbing..... Anyone else tried to run their budget like that, they would be in prison in short order... but, for the government, that's OK? I will NEVER understand that one......

flexi-precarity <- I have no idea what that means. Auto industry is mainly union workers. So, they get better pay and benefits than the average non-union worker. (Used to be MUCH better...... until the recession of 08.) When the workers have jobs, it improves the economy. Trouble is, most of our "Good" jobs have been outsourced to third world nations, as labor is much cheaper there, not to mention there is no EPA...... The free trade agreements that were supposed to be oh-so-good for the american workers, turned out to be a lie. (which we all knew was going to happen, but, the politicians did it anyway.....) Trouble is, their corporate masters LOVED the idea, so we ended up with more free trade agreements..... and now, with the whole covid thing going on, the manufacturing sector just discovered that maybe having everything produced in some third world craphole, wasn't such a good idea after all. Do I expect that to change though? Nope. Too much money to be made paying for 5 bucks a day, rather than 15 bucks an hour.

Ok. According to theory, you can claim the settlement with or without the quest. You need to "win the trust of the residents" of Far Harbor for Little Bertha to offer the quest. (which I always thought doing "Rite of Passage" would deal with....) Have you done any quests for the lady fixing the wall? Or the revenge quests for the old lady at the table near the water? (can't remember her name.....)
-
I seem to remember something about the CC PipBoy skins causing issues..... There was another one as well, and it *could* have been the power armor skins, but, I just don't recall clearly. I have a habit of moving ALL the CC content OUT of the Data folder..... Even though you are not using it, the game still reads thru all those archives at startup.... I don't know if it explores those while playing as well, or not...... But, having a 'clean' data folder has always been a good idea. :D

HeyYou replied to MalachiDelacot's topic in Site Support
There appears to be two for Subnautica...... I would just like to be able to hide the forums I have no interest in. I only play like two or three games that are moddable. Not having to scroll thru the other hundred or so to find Fallout 4 would be really nice. :D -

And they are free to behave that way, just like some of the other guys are free to be left-wing, socialist rags. "Socialist rags" not sharing a point of view doesn't allow you to be that salty, do you know what socialism is at least? And what do you do of the freedom of opinion when nearly all the medias are controlled by the social class with the highest rate of psychopaths? What do you do of the freedom of expression when that heap of psychopaths that lead the companies can fire or do worse with any journalist that would denunce their unavowable acts? Here in the US, most states are 'employment at will', which means, your boss can fire you simply because he doesn't like the color of your shoes, or even no reason at all. If you work for a company, but have opposing viewpoints from the powers that run the show, you can expect to get fired. It's the same everywhere. If you disagree with the companies position/policies, why are you even working there? You also tend to paint every boss/ceo/business owner with a pretty broad brush. Not all of them are psychopaths..... Some of them are just idiots. :) They have their own ideas of what society should be like, so they run stories that reinforce that view of society, and the direction we should be headed. Quite frankly, I have no real use for the various 'news' organizations here in the US. They ALL have their own bias, and the stories they run, and how they are written, reflect that bias. What passes for a 'journalist' today, would not have made it past third grade 20 years ago. Ratings have become more important than the stories themselves. Truth no longer matters. Accuracy no longer matters. In the rush to get the story out, facts no longer matter. The whole "unbiased press" has gone the way of the dodo.

Are they there, and just invisible? Or are they simply not there at all?

This should be in the Vortex support forums. :D -

My point is, we do indeed have a "Free" press, however, I never said they were useful. :D
