  1. That did not even cross my mind lol. No, I just want the ability to raise children, take a hand in their education, and then take them adventuring as essential so they do not die. (That would be a bit depressing.) One of the aspects of these games that I truely enjoy revolves around character interaction. I found that playing oblivion while deployed to Afghanistan, nice forests, relaxing music, no stress, helped me immensely after a long day of going through bloody clothing. I know that it sounds weird, but I think that video games that aren't solely single person shooters help prevent ptsd. In Iraq I took up listening to classical music, in Afghanistan I took oblivion, Dragon Age, and a few others. So, can we do this one? There are children in the game, they train where you send them. You can travel to wherever you send them to check on them, maybe pay for children size armor, teenage armor, ect. Various fee's and costs to add to the feeling that you are helping. Also, it would be nice to be able to help the orphanage in some fashion. Yeah I killed the horrible old woman, but what now?
  2. I would definitely agree that characters are as important as locations. Maybe someone could start small? Shrink the Dragons to dog size and enable them as companions? (swamp dragons) I wouldn't mind having a swarm of feagles as a companion/companions. Shall we try one companion first before starting anything major?
  3. Imagine, you get married and have children. Then you decide on their education... Magic Thieves Guild Assassians Imperial Guard Ect... Then when they are of age and after some seasoning they can then report to be companions. The longer you allow them to train the higher the level. Stipulate what level and a courier will inform you when they have reached that level. Could be fun.
  4. That would be awesome. Angua would be easier since they already have werewolves. But how would anyone make Nobby Nobbs...
  5. Beyond just the fans, I think there is an incredible amount of material that can be used to create a lot of fun. There is an Assassins guild to go from, with a unique personality of its own. Perhaps the Cunning Artificers for those who enjoy making things. Dwarves survive here and thrive. Dwarven Bread to be used as a mele and range weapon. Join the city watch and help defeat organized crime (outside of allowed guilds) (such as certain trolls in suits) Feeling sick? The Free Hospital can cure you. There seems to be a stunning lack of doctors of any sort and over the counter medicine shouldn't be your only route. An Igor Companion, who performs 1st Aid on you during and after battle. The works of Bloddy Stupid Johnson. Small swamp dragons (companions as long as they don't blow up) New spells from Unseen University. Let's make this happen :)
  6. How about the Ankh-Morpork with the big dragon in the castle. Not to mention the assassin's guild - quests Thieves guild - quests Seamstresses - Interesting quests lol I am thinking it would be placed where winterhold is, since it is useless at the moment. Then add the unseen university around the college.... If you want to leave the land alone, put a teleporter in the college in winterhold with the purpose of allowing an exchange between places of learning or at least places with long beards and good food. I know that this would be a major undertaking but it would add a whole new aspect to the game.
  7. Let's hope for the best then :)
  8. Sad fact is that you sink even in light armor. Heck, swimming in boots was quite the experience in the Marines. If you want to make it really interesting, maybe leather based would be possible to swim.
  9. My dream mod would be the city of Ankh-Morpork with included quests.
  10. It is a Chest with feet that moves very fast. It has big teeth and attacks anyone that messes with it or its owner. You can ride it if needed. So, it could be a companion that can store an unlimited amount and guard you at the same time. Incredibly amusing as well, to anyone familiar with the story. http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/The_Luggage http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/843/theluggage.jpg/sr=1 - looks like someone's earlier attempt.
  11. True, it would be difficult. Thought it could be extremely detailed, I would suggest going in stages. Unseen University would itself be hard. It would honestly depend on any of the modding community being a fan of discworld. I only wish that I had the time.
  12. Ok, I found a link to a mod for oblivion and they were thinking about fallout as well. However, the fact it that it would best fit in Skyrim. Werewolves, vampires, dragons all feature prominently at various times in these books. http://www.moddb.com/mods/ankh-morpork-for-oblivion
  13. After playing through Skyrim a few times and enjoying all the hard work that was obviously put into it I had an idea. Being a Discworld fan and a long time fan of Terry Pratchett (Carried his books through 1 tour in Iraq and his ebooks for 1 tour in Afghanistan), why couldn't we either alter Dragon Bridge, or even create from scratch by copying a city and putting it else where to create Ankh-Morpork? I am sure that you would find plenty of volunteers for voice work and the possibilities for quests would add considerably to the game. So that is my request. Add Ankh-Morpork or another area of discworld to Skyrim. Bill
