  1. This isn't really an original idea, but I'd like to throw it out there since it hasn't been done outside of replacing some vanilla furniture with other vanilla furniture... But, has anyone been working on or considering working on a Castle Volkihar overhaul that turns it into an extensive player home? I've always loved the idea of one of the rewards for defeating Harkon being granted ownership of Castle Volkihar as a vampire hunter... But the only option on the Nexus leaves something to be desired in my opinion. (I've been a bit spoiled by skyrimlazz's playerhomes) It would be cool if after defeating Harkon, you'd be given the option to pay someone for renovations and they'd completely redo the interior to add rooms for followers, kids, weapons and armor displays, dragon claw and paragon displays, a library, daedric artifact displays etc, all the while making the decor more... human friendly (though leaving subtle traces of the previous tenants) It also makes sense on the other side too though. Even if you beat Harkon as an evil vampire... Let's be honest, his castle has room for improvement. It was fine in 2012, but a decade later it doesn't seem like much of an inheritance from daddy-dearest in-law lol. It's messy, you're in charge of a bunch of NEETs who's only justification for being allowed to live is that they sell you stuff, and there's a (literally) bloody alter commemorating poor Serana's trauma. Why not kick them all out, say goodbye to Vampire politics and make Castle Volkihar into a Castle Volki-Home? Some of you super talented mod authors might be thinking "Gee! This is a super swell idea! I wish I thought of it!" Well don't you worry your pretty little heads! I hereby grant you my blessing to use this super cool idea I came up with, create a mod, and I won't even charge you for "stealing" my idea  Jokes aside, I would really appreciate it if someone with extensive knowhow of how to make player homes did something like this. I've been waiting for half a decade to see if someone would without shamelessly asking for one, but no dice :'( Thanks for reading, stinkies -silvercrown5150 P.S How do I change my username? https://imgur.com/a/EBUlWop?
  2. Are there any mods that allow you to recruit blacksmiths or merchants for large player homes? Sort of like MHIYH but they'd also sell things. The reason I ask this is because I use skyrimlazz's large player homes in my playthroughs, and I don't really care for the NPCs that are added, but I would still like the commodity of having bartenders, blacksmiths, general merchants and etc. Like for example I'd hire Ysolda as a general merchant since she only gets to become a merchant if Hulda or Belethor kicks the bucket.
  3. I see... I'll try and see if removing that mod in particular helps. Edit: Disabled roughly 60 plugins, including the mod that triggered so many OnCrosshairRefChange events, but the microstutters still persist.
  4. This is a weird reoccurring issue that I'm tired of waiting to go away by itself. Every few months, my modded Skyrim SE (now AE, I guess) will gradually start to stutter more and more until it gets to the point where my game is a source of anxiety rather than a reprieve from work. Once upon a time, I thought it was due to a singular mod, then I thought it was a hardware issue, then I thought it was a virus. This time, I went through my papyrus logs when the stuttering got real bad and found that they logged a bunch of stack dumps. I don't really know what that means, or if there's any correlation between the stack dumps and my game dipping in framerate every 10 seconds, but I've wasted a lot of time trying to nip this problem in the bud without really knowing what the cause is... Any input would be greatly appreciated. Papyrus logs link: https://mega.nz/folder/q6A2jBYL#3xSwHJTouhVpycbO-_SD2A Load Order link: https://mega.nz/folder/2z5X2YTJ#J1f7VjtMuX4K5s3qp1J5Hw
  5. I've been having similar issues... Every 10 seconds there would be a brief dip from 60 fps to 54 fps. This problem persists for a month, then goes away for a couple months before resurfacing. I looked in my papyrus logs and there were a bunch of stack dumps, but I don't really know what that entails or how to deal with them.
  6. I downgraded to the previous version of Mu Joint Fix and that resolved the issue. Thank you very much!
  7. I've been experiencing this weird bug over the past week where after using a bow and arrow for a little bit, one of the arrows in the quiver will gradually float further and further away from its quiver in a fixed position... This can be alleviated by reequipping the arrows, but it's annoying to do. I've also noticed that on occasion, swords will also float outside of their scabbards each time they're sheathed/unsheathed, but this occurs more frequently with my followers than my player character. The weird thing is that this only occurs with only one type of weapon at a time. If it's my arrows that are being weird, my other weapons will behave normally and vice versa. I'm guessing this is a skeleton issue, but that's about the extent of my understanding. Does anyone have any insight into my little problem? Link to photos: https://imgur.com/a/vN9bRIE
  8. Edit: I believe this to be a hardware issue, as I am now experiencing brief stutters in other games now. I just never noticed because I seldom play other games on my PC... Whoops.
  9. I mean, yeah A lot of scripts are part of save games. So yeah, they can anc do get baked into your save game. You can try to use a save game cleaner like "Fallrim tools". Follow the instructions on the mod's page. Be warned though: Fiddling around with save game data is never "safe". In most cases, "Fallrim tools" will repair your save game. But in some (rather rare) cases it might also make your save game unusable. So, always keep a backup copy. On a side note: It is generally not recommended to uninstall mods, especially script heavy ones, during a playthrough. Maybe that's what you're currently experiencing. This problem consists through separate new games. I understand that scripts will consist through saves, but this problem also occurred when loading a save prior to the one where this issue started rearing its ugly head.
  10. VRAM shouldn't be an issue as I have an RTX 3090. Tweaking my Papyrus settings didn't make any change and I already had eFPS installed. I tested a New Game with no texture or model replacers with only USSEP and RaceMenu loaded and I still got the stutter every couple of minutes, so I'm confident in saying that it probably isn't an issue with the graphics... At least not with my GPU... I'm 99% sure the issue is because of a latent script/string that got baked into my game because of PROTEUS because these issues have only started occurring after importing/switching characters, but I am extremely perplexed as to how this may be the case when I A) Removed PROTEUS and B) Reinstalled Skyrim SE as well as deleted everything else in the root folder, only reinstalling SSE Engine Tweaks and using ENBoost. After that I cleaned all the "vanilla" plugins with xEdit but nothing is working. Can scripts/strings get baked into your game's cache?
  11. In a purely vanilla Skyrim, I don’t notice any real issues. And I don’t know if the game version is the issue at play. Since the framerate dips randomly appeared when I was playing version 1.6.353. At the time the mods I most recently downloaded had no impact on the issue when I deactivated them and reloaded a save prior to their installation. A part of me believes that something got messed up when I was trying to use PROTEUS’s switch characters feature, but I am unsure since the framerate issue persists through multiple new games without PROTEUS installed. I also tried backtracking my download history but I can’t pinpoint a specific culprit (if there is one). Since then I updated everything to 1.6.640 to see if that would help but there was no change for better or worse. Edit: Cut down my modlist to USSEP and Racemenu, no ENB. Still get framerate dips (though they are much smaller, they are still there)
  12. Yes. That was one of the first things I made sure to do. I am currently using their medium BethIni preset along with their recommended settings. Also I made sure to clean the main game's update.esm as well as the dlcs with xEdit's Auto Cleaning tool.
  13. For nearly a month I’ve been desling with this issue where as I play Skyrim SE, there’s this weird dip in framerate that occurs once or twice a minute regardless of where I am or what I am doong. From a new game, the dips are typically minor. My base framerate is a consistent 59.9 FPS since that’s my monitor’s refresh rate. And at the start of a new game, it will very briefly go down to 58-54 FPS. But after a couple of hours of playing, the “dips” in framerate become more drastic, last longer, and occur more frequently, randomly cutting my framerate in half to even reaching the single digits at random intervals, and I can’t for the life of me find out what is the cause. I reinstalled SSE, updated all my SKSE dependent mods as well as the ones rellying on Address Library. I have thr latest USSEP, Engine Fixes, Scrambled Bugs, Papyrus Util+Extender, po3’s tweaks, Address Library etc. I thought PROTEUS was the culprit once upon a time but the problems have persisted even with it uninstalled. (Edit): I remember these problems occurring before just last November but the issue was fixed after downgrading po3's tweaks, sse engine fixes, papyrus extender etc. but I have a feeling that was a coincidence. I’ve went through my download history and can’t find any mods within the past couple months that have a similar issue in the bug reports and can't find any similar issues. Edit: Here's a link to my load order and mod list if you think it could help: https://mega.nz/folder/mu410QiZ#vvG7yTh3XMedQqqzHcfjFw
  14. What do I do in the case that USSEP is the only mod I have active but I still experience freezing?
  15. Okay, I'll take a look through and see if reinstalling stuff helps at all.
  16. For the past couple of weeks, I've been suffering from extensive freezing that persists through every new game I have regardless of how many mods I have enabled. I normally play with a load order exceeding 800 esps, but I never had any real issues until just recently. I created a separate profile on MO2, and disabled EVERYTHING, but still got framerate hiccups despite playing vanilla in 2k resolution with an RTX 3090, i7 9700k and 64GB of RAM . I went to look at the papyrus logs and sure enough there were stack dumps when I had my usual load order enabled... But quite a few of the scripts that popped up were associated with mods I never downloaded... Which is weird. But I digress. My biggest suspects in my uneducated opinion were PROTEUS and SPERG, but if either of them are the culprit, they seem to have left a little f*#@ you in the form of latent strings/scripts? (I don't really know how mods work, I'm just using buzzwords I have an inkling of understanding for) I THINK it might have something to do with testing PROTEUS's switching characters feature, but I'm not going to bug the mod author about it since I don't know for sure. And regardless, my framerate freezing\stutter problem consists even with it uninstalled, so I'm at a loss... A framerate loss... Does anyone have any solutions? Also here's a link to my logs, with and without mods https://mega.nz/folder/az5FSBwS#RSHrUlfPGY5-PPd8vpmiKg
  17. You guys are genuine madlads. This, Skyblivion, and Beyond Skyrim have all given me so much to look forward to. You're doing Todd Howard's work, and then some.
  18. Don’t mean to resurrect this thread, but I’m experiencing this too. But only with Aela the huntress...
  19. Thanks for the reply! I’ll test that out in the morning!
  20. Because of this bug, I’ve restarted my playthrough 4 times thinking a clean new save would solve the problem, but it keeps happening. It only happens in the Haafingar hold from what I can tell. Randomly, after leaving an interior like the Blue Palace, or Radiant Raimant for example, the FPS will drop from a constant 60 to a dragging 7.5 or lower, and my PC as well as NPCs will start vibrating spastically, and my GPU’s fans will start going into overdrive. This can temporarily be fixed by either A) saving and reloading, or B) fast traveling... But that’s a pain in the ass and is extremely immersion breaking. I only experience this problem once I reach Solitude. I’ve played the main quest as well as the companions questline without experiencing this once until I get to Solitude. I’ve verified my game’s integrity, the main esms have already been cleaned with SSE Quick Clean, and I’ve been very careful about mod compatability and load order... I’m at a loss. If you guys could look at my load order and give me some pointers, I’d highly appreciate it. I’ve asked for advice on reddit but I got no replies. Thanks in advance! modlist: https://modwat.ch/u/silvercrown5150/plugins
  21. Is there a better Bodyslide plugin for vanilla outfits than the one that comes with CBBE? Thereâs an excellent plugin for LE that has perfect weight and fits seamlessly with any of my presets, but on SE, half of my female npcs are clipping through their clothes/armor, and I donât want to spend an eternity on Outfit Studio trying to figure out how to adjust them to my preferences... If thereâs a simple yet thorough guide on how to do it myself, I will if I have to, but I would much prefer the former. Thanks in advance
