  1. Yep, I'm using Gimp :) I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the steps :psyduck: (I'm a very visual guy; I am good at mimicking and not so good at following instructions). But don't worry, if I hit a mountain I'll let you know and ask for help
  2. For those wanting a front view of her face/head http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/9440/headav.png
  3. Eye of the beholder really. What we find not attractive might not be the case for dragons. Either way, I love the way this one looks. :) Going to have one hell of a battle facing that thing. Facing her insides you meant :D
  4. God!!! It's looking very nice Sam!!! Now, I promised you some ideas and so far I think I've got one or two that you might like or not  So here we go...... These are just some ideas I randomly thought of. The player should gain the Bosmer people's trust for them to let him into their habitat, perhaps by doing them a favor and getting rid of someone or something (mythical creature maybe). So, before entering Valenwood the player should encounter the guardians of Valenwood protecting it from evil spirits and dark necromancer forces along with ferocious creatures, etc. After completing the quest, the player would be allow to enter and do business, get quests, trade, purchase a house, etc. And this is how I imagine Valenwood: The entrance to Valenwood should be something beautiful and a great sight to look at (something like the Oblivion expansion pack "Shivering Isles") I had in mind a small narrow dirt road surrounded by trees and trees and more trees, something like this: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/8/88873/2159383-2rf8zms.jpg http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/2328/img0779au8.jpg Various small settlements scarcely scattered around the highest concentration of inhabitants. Where the market, shrines and most monuments will be at. Also; I've read that the coastline of Valenwood was home to Bosmer people as well. Most of the houses should have a natural forest look, blending in nicely with the forest and nature itself; stone and metals are very rare since Bosmer dislike the use of modern building materials (don't quote me on that, ) Valenwood is supposed to be a nice peaceful and quiet landmass where mother nature reigns over and protects her children. "Sea of endless green" :D Tree houses should be considered; since it would look appealing to the eye and let's be honest....tree houses are cool. All the houses and settlements should be built with foreign wood materials, since according to the "Green Pact", no Valenwood building materials of vegetative origin can be used; only wood building material coming from alien places can be used. A "Forbidden Dark Forest" where a group of necromancers live would be a nice addition. It would forbidden since Bosmer people have a inherent fear of this dark magic. "A dark and seclusive group of Bosmer (or any other race) manipulate the forces of evil to gain eternal knowledge and life" (something dark and mysterious). A "military" outpost of agile and very skilled archers to defend the Bosmers from intruders and enemies is a must. The outpost should be in high ground, where the archers would have the definitive advantage. Imagine being aimed and shot at by 50 Bosmer with a skill of 80-100 in Archery; there is no way you could survive... which makes not want to mess with them and screw them over. All arrows poisoned and lethal. A sharp leaf flying through the wind and making its way through the player's heart (or knee). Alternatively, you could choose to screw them over and create a quest where you become allies with the Dark Forest necromancers and plot against the Valenwood townspeople and at night you poison their food, kill them while sleeping, sneak and slit the throat of the guards and such. (what fowl creature would enjoy doing that to the Bosmers? :( ) Another nice quest in favor of the Bosmer would be to use the mod "Dragonkiller Cart" and script a quest where some Bosmer trader asks you to transport a shipment of foreign wood building materials from Skyrim, so Valenwood has enough materials to build with. This also could be a chance to create an awesome mod similar to "Build your own home". How about "Rebuilding Valenwood" or "Expanding Valenwood". Of course; to keep it close to the "Valenwood" concept limits should be considered as to how much can you build. Mythical creatures that usually inhabit Valenwood should be added in order to give the forests more life. Creatures to consider would be, Sathyr, Minotaur, Hydra, Griffin, Centaur(master archers and protectors of sacred forests), Basilisks, Fairies....and Apes....(I think I've read somewhere that apes used to inhabit Valenwood) ((I CAN totally help you model some of the creatures. I can sculpt in zBrush and know a trick or two for retopoplogy in 3dCoat :). I'll post some images of a couple of creatures I'm working on and if you think you can use my "talent" you can count with me. I'm not experience, so my skills end at "retopologizing")). These creatures should be placed in an area according to their theme. For example; the Hydra would probably look more natural in the "Forbidden Forest" or near a mangrove swamp or at the coast line of Valenwood. A Sathyr nearby sacred forest shrines. Minotaurs are isolated creatures, so they should be placed in caves or a quest could be created in which the player battles a great Minotaur after finding his way through a dark maze hoping to find "X Item/treasure" or rescue some unfortunate NPC. Griffins are rare creatures and could be used to travel from Skyrim to Valenwood and vice versa after speaking to some Bosmer elder NPC in Skyrim and completing a quest for him/her. Don't forget about vegetation!!! Vegetation is a key feature in Valenwood. There should be many hundreds of the green beauties all around the land. You already have access to over 50 new green models and the author says he's working on more; maybe you could ask him to make a model of the legendary tree called "Falinesti". Swamps!!! There are swamps in Valenwood (I've never been there but according to the Elder Scrolls wiki there are). http://inchinapinch.com/hab_pgs/marine/mangrove/images/mangrove4.jpg I think that's all for now :D Here are some of the models I've been working on. None of them are finished but they're work in progress still. The fat dragon head is a creature I'm working on for another mod. The Minotaur you could totally use it for your mod :D. I've got some ideas for a nice quest too  Minotaur Fat Dragon Head Leaviathan (deep sea monster)
  5. I really like this mod and I'm waiting for the first release, but I can't help to compare the "eagle" logo of the shields and the city to some football mascot or something like that :psyduck: I like the logo and all, but it looks (to me, personally) similar to what a modern logo of an football team's logo would look like. And.... I'm working up some ideas for your next future mod "Valenwood" :D. I'm brainstorming but so far I think I have some nice ideas.
  6. I'd also like to know how to fix this issue, as I've been having it for quite some time and I haven't been able to do a thing about it. :armscrossed:
  7. A YT member has started a series of tutorials aimed to help people trying to create new armors for Skyrim. So far, he has uploaded 16 videos of excellent quality and seems to explain everything fairly clear  He starts covering everything needed to created armors; from getting the tools, setting them up, how to use them and then he moves on to more advanced stuff like creating weight sliders and all that mumbo jumbo stuff....very nice indeed  Here I leave you the link to his channel, as well as the videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/NightasyTutorials Part 1 Part 7
  8. Check your inbox, I sent you a PM with an update.
  9. Okay, after fiddling in zbrush I kept feeling I was modeling a dinosaur... :wallbash:. Here is what I've been doing to a 3dsphere : http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/4410/matriarch1.png Tell me what you think; does it suck, is it great, needs improving (it's not remotely done yet, so it does need improving), any thing you might want me to add??? Does the Matriarch have teeth...what kind of teeth? Sharp teeth, blunt teeth??? Does she have an elegant face, ugly one, does she look similar to a snake, lizard, aunt Agna? Updated: Tell me what do you think about this one: http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/7720/sinttulorn.png
  10. Got it; I'll move my fingers and see what I can come up with :)
  11. I've drawn a rough sketch of the Matriarch's head. I tried to give her an elder look while maintaining her wisdom, presence and personality by adding a couple hair lines to the back of her skull and to the sides of her neck.... if you don't like the idea, say so >:( If can give me more details about her, her ways of defending herself, any particular characteristics you might want to implement or anything else like the shape of certain parts of her body (specially the ovular discharge holes; if you can send me a link to an image of something that looks similar to what you have in mind it would make it easier to model them). If you want a long neck, wide wings, small legs...etc.??? :turned: I'll wait for your reply mate.
  12. That minotaur looks great, but I think the junk may be a bit excessive for just a general implementation. Anyway, I drew up a quick 2-hour concept image of the new Matriarch race that my mod features (Basically an oversized, excessively obese dragon without armor or horns and has 5 ovular discharge tracts (which are not the same as vaginas)). And if you're up to helping my mod while learning how to do what you don't to get things into a ready state for the game, then head over to my mod and begin working on a model of the concept art in the last post and I'll help you along. If you just want to learn right out the gate for your minotaur then I can do that too. Hehehe, the minotaur is something I've been working on the last three days and some day (when I'm experienced enough) I plan to finish it and get it ready for Skyrim and team up with anybody who knows how to make quests, voice act, etc...that kind of thing and make a small quest with the Minotaur in it. I chose to model the "junk" since I feel it gives it a sense of realism and makes him look more organic and humanoid :).... (don't pay attention to my babbling). I'll check out the link of your mod and see if I can take on the challenge of modeling a vagina monster :)
  13. I do look forward to this :D I mostly play Bosmer characters, so I have a few ideas I could share with you if you happen to be interested in suggestions and such
  14. Me??? Join a team??? :psyduck: I would love to, but the thing is.... my skill stop at *creating a average good looking model in zBrush, import it in 3dcoat to retopologize it*....and that's all I know how to do. There is nothing more I can do at the moment. So if you think I might be of some help creating creatures for your mod (I can only give birth to creatures and not building or stuff like that) you can PM me with the details.... Also, I'm not very fast since I started 3d modeling few weeks ago and I still think of me as a novice hobbyist  .
  15. If I happen to learn the whole process of 3d model making, rigging, importing, implementing by then... you'll have me by your side bro!!! I could always add some ideas as well.
  16. Bro!!! I'm learning modelling; from start I have the skills of a semi- professional sculptor. I have skills  . But making 3d models is not so much like in real life. I can model and retopologize, that's all I can do... so if you some time help me out I'd be greatly in love with you (in a manly way ) I'm currently trying to learn the whole process of modeling, texturing, rigging, animating, etc...so I can help out modders like lv121 one day. Here's a model I'm working on right now (so you don't think I'm another kid modeling ugly stuff); it's a minotaur....and I like my minotaur:
  17. For roleplaying I think the vanilla Skyrim falls short in the hunting aspect. However, there are some mods that focus on improving the experience of roleplaying a wild hunter. I would recommend you to install mods that make the forests and such wild habitats denser and lush ("lush grass", "lush trees", "glorious grasses", "SkyEarth", etc.) in order to make the hunting environment more vivid and to add a spice of challenge for the hunter (it becomes really immersive when you have to look for the pray instead of just spotting it from 500ft away). And there is one mod that I know of that tweaks the hunting part of the game; it increases the cost of animal loot making the hunts more rewarding amongst other things. Below I'll post some links to the mentioned mods....but be assured, I'm only doing this because I'm in a good mood and my girlfriend is happy which in return makes me happy as well  . Hunting in Skyrim Lush Grass Lush Trees Glorious Grasses SkyEarth: Homogeneous Detailed Landscapes Providing a bit more info... there are not as may bows as there are melee weapons, so you'll have to search for good bow mods. They're isolated and relatively easy to find if you look hard enough. Here is one of my favorite ones: Narquelion: Antique Elven Bow And finally... there are some mods that allow you to craft hunting traps, which personally is quite swell if I may say so myself in a juvenile expressed manner :turned:. Hunter Traps Deployable Traps First one is the more realistic one in my opinion; the second one lets you carry 100kg boulders in your inventory and then drop them to kill your enemy... That would be it mate, have fun... and, don't forget to read the information the mods' pages. Enjoy mate!
  18. Hey Gasti, have you guys found a home for the team yet? :teehee: Or could you link us to a place where we can follow the progress of WiS V?
  19. So, the plan is to build a landmass equivalently similar in mass/size similar to Cyrodiil???? I do want!!! I was hoping someone would create Vallenwood but any other landmass is more than welcome. You have my support and appreciation mate.
  20. Wait patiently for version V, please.
  21. Foolishness  Get a PC and get the PC version of Skyrim instead. It's a lot easier and more fun :D
  22. Hmmm, how does this work if I may ignorantly ask? :) Does this skeleton replace the vanilla skeleton of Skyrim? How can someone use it?
  23. Ouch!!! Bro; I feel your pain ....be cool; thing could be worse you know...I mean; some crazy nutcase woman could cut off your penis and toss it at the window of a moving car... I hope that by some miracle you find a way to recover your work, and if now...just drink some natural cold orange juice...it's good for the soul and the temper.
