Try changing audio mode from hardware mode to software mode in options. hardwade mode usually causes problems. EDIT: Sorry for necro threading. Didn't see the date :pinch:

Are you referring to rings/amulet/belts showing on charachter like robes, armor etc? Then its not possible in vanilla morrowind and I've never heard a mod that does that. It requires major overhaul of bodyparts and new meshes for finger with ring for each race, gender etc. Its too much of a hassle and it would endup conflict with many mods too.

My guess would be its Data Execution Prevention kicking in. Add Morrowind to the exception list for DEP following this instructions--CLICK

You can try the option "update map" again but this time uncheck "world map gridlines" To uncheck it right click on tab named 'File' in saves tab.

Thats a tough quest. All the occupants of the cave are above level 10 so they are not easy if you are low level. I suggest keep this quest in the back burner. Do some other quests, Train-up, gain some levels and then try again.
