Fallout 3 Crashing In Andale [VIDEO]
Giggsy replied to iomegadrive1's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
WOW! Your in-game lag is unbelieveable! How can you play like that? Remember to put all the .ESM-files at the beginning. There are better mod-loading threads here that you can check out! First you put the .esm files, then you put the .esp files. That's all I know... -
Ok! Do you think you can do these small alternations and perhaps make a mod out of it? A mod that skip the first frames of the animation of all weapons fired (small handgun, big handgun, rifle, shotgun, big guns etc.). This way, when I press the mouse-button, and even if there is a slight lag, I might be able to fire off a round. This would be really appreciated :) EDIT: I'm not much of a modder, that is why I aske you to do it, who clearly is a professional, and knows what to do.

Hello, people! When I was doing the dishes, I suddenly thought of an interesting idea. I was thinking of games that I should challenge my girlfriend at playing, and I started thinking about the immersive games I've played that might suit her: games that I've fallen so deeply into that I've been playing it for hours and hours and when I've not been playing them, I've been thinking about them... yeah, those kind of immersions. Anyways; I was thinking of what your most immersive games are. Are there any games that have treated you like this? That have left you wanting more and actually gotten a bad feeling when the game was wrapping up? 1. Half-Life 1: This is one of the most immersive games I've played. At the time, I was really new to PC-gaming. My gaming life revolved around console games before. Anyway; yeah, the great storyline, the awesome build-up and the super-immersive elements. I love the long Intro to the game before some action actually happens. The great ways to fight the bosses and interesting plots, twists and characters. 2. Shadow of the Colossus : This game is totally awesome, and one of the best games ever, I feel. The story is kind of vague, but the action, gameplay and scenery is epic, and the boss fights : the best. I just wanna continue to play this game forever, but at the same time, I know there are only 16 colossi... decisions, decisions. 3. My third option, I have to add in later... Please give me your immersive games :)

I have no modding experience. I once tried to make a revolver for the popular FPS "Counter-Strike", but It failed. It is not a request, just a genuine thought/ an idea. It would be good for sneaky players to avert attention away from you and rather sneak around a camp of raiders instead of running in, guns blazing. But recently I just noticed that the A.I is pretty weak when it comes to noise and detection (I dunno how deep the programming of an A.I goes...), and when you snipe one of two raiders side by side, the other raider will seldom react. This, I found weird and unrealistic. Sometimes it works alright, but every now and again it happens. I don't complain at the moment, but it's an immersion killer. About the copy and paste: I dunno if you have to create some first person views of the objects and so on. It would be cool though.

Pure Water Isn't Covering the Full Area
Giggsy replied to JoshQuake's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
You douche :p Maybe it's because you already have a mod that alters the water? "Deeper waters" or some other mod? "Natural Environment", I think that's one. Maybe this conflicts with the way the water is suppose to be represented after your spoiler here... -
It is! Especially when those pesky Mirelurks are closing in and you need a couple of CLEAN shots to the face.

Pure Water Isn't Covering the Full Area
Giggsy replied to JoshQuake's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
I love the way people forget to put in SPOILER!!!! -
Well, the reason why MY gun won't fire when I click the mousr-button is because of Lag. I admit, my Frame Rate drops sometimes, but often in a fire-fight, the game seems to be running without lag, and the gun still won't fire, and believe me: The gun CAN fire faster. Often I see this problem with the Shotgun, and it is really slow to fire. I haven't had any trouble with the jumping.
-
I think it's named Dan Wesson-gun, or something similiar.

There should be an airfield within the map-area. Would be a great place for a big Raider base; a part of the airstrip consisting of a plane yard (where all old, destroyed and broken planes are "laid to rest"). The tower serving as a look-out post for when nosy players come about. @ ecksile : That mod looks good, but I want everything noisy to be able to be thrown: forks, plates, paperweights, cups, caps, weapons, small ruined books etc. @ Uncle T : You understand the reason to avert the attention away from the Player and over there *tosses can* ? Your aware-meter might raise to caution! because the RAiders are suspicious, but they won't find you when they go looking because you are over here <--------------- Another thing : Do the silenced weapons have any effect at all? I was working my way down the main street towards the Arlington Library, when I saw three Raiders couple of 100 meters in front of me; 3 of em, and I decided to take one of them out from the range, and fight the rest of them. I sniped on of them, with a loud rifle, but they didn't care! They didn't mind that one of the Raiders suddenlt got shot!!! So I took out the rest of 'em with my sniper rifle! Any update on the goggles? Anyone? What mod adds the goggles?

Actually, I think the Raiders look pretty punk the way they are. They are like the unionist of the people of the wastes, the lower-working class that had nowhere to go, and stay out in the wastes by looting. When it comes to esthetics, I thing they have a pretty punk-look as well. The Raider armors are pretty punk, I think, made from the loot they found and tires and stuff like that. The "Mangy Hair" (or what the name is) and the other Raider hair dos are pretty punk-looking I think. If it's just mohawks and t-shirts with band names you want, then you need to search the NExus. I bet there are mods there for you.

Post your funny/crazy FO3 AI encounters.
Giggsy replied to ogerme123's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
Hahaha! That has happened to me too! Well, not actually just what you said, but I'veseen those flying polygons around and I've wondered what the heck it is :P How do you make your screenshots lose the HP, Radar and the crosshair? -

Giggsy replied to ogerme123's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
On my way towards the Minefield to do a part of Moira Brown's job, I walked under the broken highway. There have always been Raiders on top of the bridge/highway scouting and sniping I've seen, but I've never gotten the courage to go up and take them out. So, I forgot this part (that they were stationed on top of the Highway) and I figured I could save some time, so I ran under it. As soon as I am right under it, I get the Caution! and Danger!-message in the corner. I went like "Crap!" and hid behind some rocks. I hear the usual Raider-rant : "This is gonna be fun!" , "I'm gonna enjoy killing you" and so on. All of the sudden : it's starts to rain Raiders. Three-four of them tumble of the highway and die on the ground right in front of me. That was pretty hysterical! I actually Laughed Out Loud at that incident :p Pretty hilarious! Easy loot :) -
I believe the most obvious explenation would be : lag, and that you are pressing your system to hard. I have the same problem sometimes with the mouse button. Sometimes (in the Anchorage War Memorial, with the Mirelurks), the game wouldn't recognize my mouse clicks, and my character won't fire. This can be a pretty big problem (as you are backpedling away from Mirelurks with your sawed-off shotgun) and it has sometimes happened with the jump mechanics as well. This occurs were the Frame rate drops so I would say that I think this is your culprit.

Double-Barrel Shotgun W/o Point Lookout
Giggsy replied to Giggsy's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Yeah, I guess it's the latter ; I don't have "Point Lookout" or any of the DLC, but it is not a required mod to have to play this mod (FWE or FOOK 2). I guess they borrowed/pirated the weapon into this mod pack, and maybe forgot or didn't include the reload animation (that is from Point Lookout). Let me explain how the reload animation is "ruined" : When you have emptied the shotgun (2 separate shots) the reload begins. It's seems that everything is okay with the hand animations (except they are oddly placed), but the shotgun doesn't actually open and eject the spent cartridges. If I had a way to record my game-playing you would all see what I mean. The thing that could be done, is use the skeleton/animations (you can tell I'm no modder) from the Sawed-Off Shotgun and merge it with the Double-Barrel Shotgun-animation; they are the same animations : pop open, ejects shells, pop inn two new ones and close. YES, I know! This isn't a very big deal, but, as I have mentioned in my earlier posts; It takes away a bit of the immersion: It's all in the details, so after I discovered this flaw, I stopped using the Double-Barrel Shotgun and placed it in my locker in Megaton. Something as small as reload animations really mean alot to me, and they better actually reload the gun. If someone can tell me if there is an easy process to fix this or if there are any other mods (20th century weapon Mod) that also feature Double-Barrel Shotguns with correct animations, I would be glad to learn how to paste the animations into MY Double-Barrel Shotgun. Though I love my Double-Barrel Shotgun, I'm getting tired of writing Double-Barrel Shotgun... Double-Barrel Shotgun -
Fallout - Tactics (Sorry, How to start new game?)
Giggsy replied to kermit9696's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
You need a "doctor" or a person with high enough medicine skill (I would recommend Stitch, he's the one you start with), and you need a "Doctor's Bag". When you got both, you need to equip the Doctor to equip the Doctor's Bag, and then make him use it on the crippled person. He will then heal the crippled limb. Great game :) -
Quick question So I don't have Point Lookout, but some mod probably added the Double-Barrel Shotgun, but the reload animation is ruined. Maybe this is because I don't have Point Lookout? The reload animation looks awkward and silly. I don't understand; the Sawed-Off Shotgun uses the exact same reload animation, and I works fine (except for the barrel length). Can someone help me fix this?

Above Anchorage War Memorial, there once were some free slaves that was fighting with some wastelanders over a fridge in the middle. I kept out of the fight to see who won and maybe kill them and check what was inside the fridge. The Slaves won, and they were well armed, and told me to stay away when I cam too close to them and the fridge. There was some kind of water dispute, and probably water in the fridge. Is this also another random encounter, coz I didn't meet them this time when I played it?

Hello! I am with no means a modder, but intrigued by your question I think I can retort. Yes, I believe you can remove bigger issues out of the game f.ex The Washington Monument. You can possibly delete all contents of a cell, I suppose, as long as it's still a cell for the person to go through. Instead, you could add f.ex the seattle tower, or London's Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower of Paris and make it into a whole new game aka. Fallout Europe. Or you don't have to add anything at all if you just want to keep a long, dead waste. There is already a mod called "Fallout - Reykjaviik" which is a mod about the capitol of Iceland, namely Reykjaviik. This mod adds totally new landscapes at the look of it, though I haveb't played it myself it is worth checking out to see just exactly what can be done. I guess by removing certain objects, you would also have to remove other stuff and things that are connected with these objects, but as mentioned earlier: I am no modder :p Good luck :)

Hi! As the topic says, this thread will contain a very tiny question concerning clothing, a thought/idea about a good mod, and a question concerning the game itself. Let's kick it off : Question : How and where do I get those goggles I've seen from numerous screenshots around where the goggles are placed on top of the head? is this a mod, or is this something coming from some of the DLCs? An answer is required. Thought/Idea : A good idea for a mod came upon me when I was sneaking around in the narrow halls of Springvale School and the corridors were filled with Raiders with assault rifles while I had a 10mm pistol. I kept sneaking, and as soon as I saw the Sneak turn into Caution! I quickly lept into a nearby room and waited. The Raider came, checked the area and said something about "hearing things again". This gave me a brilliant idea: Why not try to add some kind of rock-throwing ability for sneaky players to distract the guard! This way, you can lure guards where you want them by throwing a rock, fork, bucket.... anything you can find to get their attention over there, and when they go to check it out, you gain all the benefits of a sneaking attack. This addition should not be overpowered. It should be linked to the perception of the Raider:The higher his perception, the harder he is to lure away. Responds would be welcome. A Why : Why are there no airports/runways in DC? There are a lot of train yards and trains, but no airfield or signs of planes. Maybe I've been missing out on the exploring, or maybe something has been added to any of the DLCs: I don't know, I just thinks it is kinda weird. But it would be awesome, to finally get up to the tower, where those pesky raiders where hiding out, and sniping at me as I was running across the runway. A great reward should be in the tower. Comments? Please :)

what If I want to use the heads from Project Beauty HD, and the body from Diminized Type 3 female-body? EDIT: And not have the separating line across the neck? Please help :)
-
YES, they should! They could actually learn from these modders and th community. They should give the modders a fee/payment to allow this stuff to be included in the GAME OF THE YEAR edition. That would've been awesome!

Hello! I use FWE - Fallout Wanderers Edition, and FOOK. These two mods greatly improves the game by adding sleep, thirst and hungry- needs. If you don't eat, sleep and drink, you will become fatigued and your SPECIAL skills will be damaged. They also have lots of changeable settings, like loot settings, immersion settings, damage settings, levelling settings, alternative start locations and scenarios, and lots more. FOOK I chose mainly because of the addition of weaponery ; It adds alot of weapons all through the Wasteland. These are great mods that really liven up the game, and make it a harder much more appreciative game. These mods have it all. Along with these, I have Project Beauty HD, which, contrary to the name, gives the people of D.C a more wastelandish look. Raiders look much more ferce and people have gotten a make-over which I think is pretty good. Nobody is "dollified", they are just improved. There are also a lot of realistic scenery, darker nights and mods for those kind of things. I currently have activated a mod that removes the green filter that covers the wasteland, making everything more lush, fresh and clean. This I did because I like the scenery this way, but the wastes really should have the greenish tint. This is the world after a Nuclear Fallout, and it should be green, radiated and unpretty. I also have lots of weapon add-ons, basically, well, I love to have a huge selection of guns. Guns that have different statistics that allow them to have their own special function. Pistols with a big clip and low AP-usage contrary to big, heavy hand-cannons with two shots, but lots of damage. Check these out :) There are LOTS of mods! Just give it a go with the search function and you will find what you are looking for.

Hello modders I need some help with mod loading order. I've been re-playing Fallout 3 now, andthis time, I'm playing it on PC with a bunch of extra mods, some probably created by you. Lately I've been having some trouble with somthing I believe is caused by the combination of FWE and FOOK. One of the problems is that I can't seem to get the effects of the SPECIAL Bobbleheads, another thing is that I can't find certain Items placed in the worlds. These are the two major mods I use (that alter gaming experience), but I also use a bunch of other mods that either add something (weapon) or change faces/people (Project Beauty HD). Therefor I am going to post my entire mod list and it's current load order, and I hope some of you can help me adjust it so that everything works. No, I have tried adjusting the FWE settings and re-entered the house where the Bobblehead is, but this doesn't help. I have now gone on the hunt for another SPECIAL Bobblehead to see if there is something with my Perception-skill, or if it is related to all Bobbleheads. I've changed all Bobblehead-effects to that of vanilla, but nothing... still 0 to perception.
