  1. It's not just the textures... It's losing all the objects themselves... If it's just the textures that aren't loading, the items places will go bright purple, not disappear... Well, I see the outlines of the objects in Build-mode, and I can place them normally. Once placed they are totally invisible, BUT they are there, and functional also.
  2. Still looking for answer to this since this problem locks development of several MODs. What could cause Fallout 4 to loose links to all textures of Workbench objects?
  3. It seems you need to have that area either Navmeshed, or just simply place hidden floors below the ones which don't allow placing. Pain in the posterior both but I prefer adding hidden floors myself.
  4. Vanilla objects. Ok, and custom objects also from other mods. All of them really.
  5. Nice to have Forums open again. Not fun to be unable to see your question answered in many days.
  6. And my problem shows itself when I play F4 and try to place object at that Internal Settlement.
  7. Internal Settlement is settlement created inside building or similar. It is connected to game world through 'doors' which act like portals. Other than that they are mostly similar to settlements outside, which are open to game world. In Creation Kit you can choose either External (Commonwealth) or Internal for building area.
  8. So, I have made thus far about 14 Internal Settlement, and 12 of them have had no (non-fixable) problems, but 2 are odd. In both of those problem settlements I have gotten same bug/mistake/whatever: I create the Internal Settlement and when I test it inworld, everything else works as it should, but opening WorkshopWorkbench and starting to place objects doesn't go well because those said objects are invisible, and stay invisible even placed. If anyone has any suggestions to this I'd be most grateful. I say it again, during last year, this has happened only twice. First couple months ago, and another just now. I have made other internal settlements between those two without such hiccup. First time I had to abandon the settlement after some attempts, but I don't want to do that again. Also I think it is highly unlikely that other mods are reason for this, since I've tested this with different combinations. Also I should probably mention that I didn't have any DLC's in use during either time.
  9. OK, time to reveal how I fixed this problem. Here is the gist of it: 1. I went to External Cell that includes the Internal Cell I want to make into settlement and created a new MapMarker and XMarkerHeading that the MapMarker referenced to 2. I created Location. This location I did same way as any External Cell Location except for one small difference: - I referenced the location to MapMarker instead of XMarkerHeading, and I crossed the Internal Cell Uses Player Made MapMarker... -crossbox active 3. I created Zone and Quest normally 4. I edited Internal Cell to point to the Location and Zone I'd just made - this was a bit tricky because in order to be able to edit Internal Cell information I had to activate another Cell, (any cell does). After this other cell activation I was able to edit the Internal Cell I wanted to edit and change the Location it pointed to the one I had made. Different from External Cells, I could also go to Internal Information Tab and change the Zone there to one I just made. Once I was done editing the Internal Cell, I activated it again and the changes could be seen. And that's how Muriel tap danced to moon!
  10. Always nice and helpful for future modders who might have similar issues if you outline what ultimately resolved the issue. =) I will tell in few days, after I have resolved scrabbing problems. :) Then I publish mod, and write here how I resolved the issue, maybe even how I resolved the scrabbing issue also, LOL. BTW BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah, (now that is an awesome name,) the manual is still in works, I just am sloooow at writing it seems. Well, better slow than not moving at all, eh? :)
  11. Well yes, F4 is a tad too addicting game to be honest, so breaks from gaming are recommended every once in a while.
  12. And then I was working on Thicket settlement, even made it to properly working version, but someone beat me to publishing it, so I decided to keep my mods to myself, then.
  13. I was asking help with my start of Settlement modding. Then my hard drive went kaput, with over 50 settlement mods I'd made, and as a proper IT-professional, I never backup'd *grins*, so I decided to have an 8 month hiatus, and now I've been back some time. I almost religiously backup my CK work too, LOL. Ah yes, I even published 3 settlements I made this week.
  14. Oh yes, also hi speedynl, been about year we saw last here. :)
  15. I can use MapMarker instead of XMarkerHeading? Nice, I try that! I hope that solves the problem, as I already have made new loc/enc for this interior cell. As well as dedicated MapMarker and XMarkerHeading on exterior cell, and the problem wasn't solved by that.
  16. I forgot to mention that I don't need advice on how to use existing MapMarker and Location and Zone. Those are already in use by ParsonsState01. :D
  17. So I am trying to make ParsonsState03 Interior Cell into settlement, but whenever I try to get that cell to use Location I added it isn't possible. Cell keeps staying with ParsonsStateLocation. I can choose the Location in Edit Cell -view, I can Apply it, but sometimes Ok -button is not active. When Ok -button IS active however, I can change the Location, but only in Edit Cell -view. In main Cells -view it doesn't show, but stays ParsonsStateLocation. Opening the Edit Cell -view again shows that new Location is set. Is this a bug, mistake on my part, or something 'hard coded' into Fallout 4? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!
  18. You can ignore that, as I solved it. Well fixed it is better way to say it as I am not sure why it needed fixing: I moved my mod as last to load, namely after SCRAP EVERYTHING -mod, and it works fine now. What I don't get is that I've done about 70+ settlement mods for my own pleasure, and in 20 or so I have used CK to remove unwanted objects, dirt, etc. and I have had no trouble with SCRAP EVERYTHING before. Well, I'll mark that as 'one of the mysteries of CK'. :D ps. anyone interested in few choice settlement places? I could publish some mods if someone is interested. Mind you, I don't hand over ready made settlements, but only cool spots to build your settlement on. All is working as should, only thing missing from those mods are borders, I don't like to use those. :P
  19. And if those objects are NON REFERENCED ones? And they for certain ain't necessary for any Quest, as I talk about dirt and debris and car wreckage etc.
  20. So, how is the process of adding a MOD to Nexus done? Is it easy and nearly automatic, or am I facing another high learning curve? :)
  21. This issue is resolved by myself now, so please forget me asking. :)
  22. I have a new question  So, I get the settlements to work just fine, but only separately. If I try to have 2 settlements I have made running same time, it just doesn't happen. Happiness on second one drops to 0. So I'd like to know, since I am quite certain it can be done, how and where I set the settlements to be accepted same time? EDIT: Ah yes, I am talking about both being exterior settlements ps. I will do exterior & interior same time also soon, so advice on that isn't wasted on me either :P
