Absolutely, if we had no more crashing, no more conflictions, no more performance hits, a mod manager of our choice than I might buy into this. It would certainly make it easier to find what you wanted. I would pay for uniform stability. However guaranteeing these things is like next to impossible I understand.
  2. In response to post #24567349. #24567754 is also a reply to the same post. Awesome thanks I knew it couldn't be true that'd be absolutely pointless.
  3. In response to post #24567554. #24567709 is also a reply to the same post. To add to that there's 2 creators to wet and cold so they split it 50 50 so 50% of 25%. What a meager payout for all the hate they're getting right now...
  4. Wait so if I buy a mod on steam does that just translate to steam wallet money for the developer? Not pay the bills or buy dinner money? That's what I heard but I don't know if that's true is there anyone that can clarify on this? I really really doubt that's true but if it is than that changes everything for me. :/
  5. In response to post #24565164. #24566054, #24566794 are all replies on the same post. It didn't stop them from making paid mods in the first place which also ticked off A LOT of people lol
  6. In response to post #24565784. IMO the moment he charges for his content is the moment he stops working for others and starts working for himself. This is not necessarily a bad thing as people need to eat, but as you can see, charging for mod updates probably wasn't the greatest of ideas for him.
  7. I know mod developers deserve money but it's unreasonable to ask for money for something that may or may not even work for you. I go through hundreds of mods picking out ones I like and don't like in my own personal game. How do people expect me to find stuff I want without letting me try it first? I'm not buying texture packs or overhauls or weapons and etc if I can't even tell if it won't look out of place or conflict with my already decided on mods. If I buy lets say a weather mod to put on my game and it flat out breaks my game than it's purely wasted money isn't it? It completely discourages me from trying anything paid for whether it deserves my praise or not. If I were to buy every mod in my load order and counting the ones I have set up for alternative playthroughs I'd be out a lot of money. Especially since people are asking dollars for single items like swords. Once again I know people who put time and work into crafting amazing mods deserve money but the prices should be up the community at the very least. If a single sword costs $1 in a game worth $20 and already full of swords than bigger mods that actually add stuff to the world will be priced higher than official DLC and game they probably take their assets from at this rate. If anything this has completely divided our community and may even begin the decline of amazing games because without mods many games are only worth one or two playthroughs at most.
