So your need their permission, giving credit is not enough, which means option 1 is not viable. You need to follow option 2. No reply means you cannot redistribute their content. If you upload without their permission the mod will be removed and you could face action against your account. Wait and see if they answer your message. If they don't reply after while, you'll just have to keep the mod to yourself, or replace the content you use with something else you can get permission to use.
