    If you read on page 1, that is exactly what I had wanted / intended, but didnt happen.

    During the past ~2 years (since I created the modules), I had 2 people approach me.

    1 was doing another CBBE alternative (added, page 1)
    The 2nd were 2, who had a similar thought like you.

    Basicly they said screw what you've done for the past 2 years, and re-arange modules - a theme  based appraoch - and do "modules as load order", with every patch and fix as yet another collection (well, one for patches, another for fixes) 
    Do you think that sounds more end-user friendly for people who just want to play?

    They also had some very valid points, which I agreed on.
    The effect of that you see with the current updates of the modules.

  3. Isn't NAC one of those "to be avoided" mods since it's not being updated anymore? I thought True Storms was the preferred weather mod nowadays

     

    NAC is on the "more demaning" side of weather mods, regarding GPU.

    If its on the "to be avoided list", idk.

     

    I like the weather it provides, and how it looks with Reactor ENB.

     

    I've got another Mouldle 00 collection as well, without NAC, using TrueStorm for weather.

    Though, thats on my todo list for after dinner - i'm gonna check Poseidon ENB vs. Dawn.

     

    I really have a look of doctor-appointments -due to health issues - these days, so idk how fast i can do this..

    And yes, its been a while since I had updated that one, because RL and other priorities.

  4. Fallout 4 collection list site is awful, I want to be able to sort by title. It doesn't seem to list all of them, should they be in order? I only found Module 5 from this forum, I can't find module 6 or 7. Do you have a link to your collections, you make such good stable collections.

    Or read the bottom paragraph of any Module on the collection site, all linked to the first page of this thread ;)

  5. I am looking at the modules approach to the collections...

     

    Do any of the modules have ultrawide support? or would I need to install that later?

     

    The only thing that would need 'specific' ultra wide support would be the HUD module.

    But even that "works" just fine on ultra wide (just got one myself a few weeks back).

     

    Effect without "actual ultra wide support" is - to me - miniscule, aka background of some buttons and the main menu (which basicly are buttons) is a bit offset - but the actual ingame HUD works fine.

     

    Other than that, I have not noticed anything that would need fixing.

    Again its so miniscule, that unlike for Skyrim where menu is cut off = therefor literaly unusuable without ultrawide support, FO4 - "just works" .

    (my ultra wide is 3440x1440)

  6. I have a few mods downloaded already, but I wanted to start exploring collections, can I do that without removing my existing mods? Or should I purge my Vortex folders and start over again.

     

    I have things like CBBE, Easy Lockpicking, and Easy Hacking.

     

    Generaly speaking, yes you can explore multiple collections (these modules) without the need to purge pre-downloaded mods.

    However, it is most save if you create multiple profiles for new tryouts, and make sure to have other mods disabled on those new profiles before adding new mods/collections.

     

    With all general statements, there are exceptions, which are:

    • You cannot mix (try out) multiple Module 0 // ENBs without purging all related config files.(ENB, depends on collection - might not be requried for all)
    • You cannot use more than 1 body mod (player char, collection wise) or companion replacer (mod wise) at the same time

     

    Also, if you talk about exploring collections in general, aka not "limited" to the modules listed on the first page of this thread, it is even more pressing to create a new profile for every collection, and pay very good attention to their regarding "About" description.

    Modules are designed to be used together, to build upon each other - while they also state which are incompatible (see exceptions above).

    Each module has its "incompatibilties", "requirements" and "recomendations" listed at the bottom of their according "about" description.

    "This" sure is not how it should look!

     

    And you say you have that with "my settings" that are provided via the collection? Of which you then need to disable bloom and lens flare effects?

    Because, it took me several days until I was satisfied with "how its supposed to look".

    Did I understand you there correctly?

     

    For a try, could you please create a new empty profile and just enable/install both of the NAC X modules? Including the (optional) "settings" 'mod'.

    Because, it could be - sadly Vortex is known for this (devs are aware of this) - that upon the very first download/install process, that some files do not get copied/installed properly, this should be fixed for any further procedure ('installing'/enabling in another profile).

  8. Loving the collection. Most comprehensive one out there.

    Quick question, when using Module 4 : Weather: NAC X is it possible to also use TrueStorms? the mod not the collection. Couldn't find an answer to this, sorry if it has been answered.

     

    No, the NAC X mod does handle weather and night by itself and declares itself incompatible with any other such mod (weather/night) which includes TrueStorms and DarkerNights.

    But since the "NAC X weather" mods are not required as such, I made it its own collection.

  9. It basicly would work like a conflict patch - as you "overwrite" the "conflicting" part - in this case, the value of happines.

    Meaning, your "patch" would only require to have the SnapBeds as master, and the new happines value.

  10. If you plan to "add textures", I would recomed to do so with your own SomeName.ba2 archive, or as loose files.

    Just saying because if you should ever have to (for whatever reason) "verify game files" via steam, those custom textures would be gone. (as the original file was changed)

     

    Rule of thumb, if its just 1 or 2 textures, it might be suitable (less hazzle) to add them as loose files, whereas with with many textures it would be a performance saver if you would pack them as ba2.

    This applies to both, new textures and texture replacer situations.

  11. Hey, I've been using your modules and I've been enjoying it. However, it seems like lights aren't acting as they're supposed to; I tried looking through ENB settings but im unfamiliar with it and didn't have any luck. The lights above and inside the door are great examples of the lights being blindingly bright.

    The modules I'm using are: 0 (NAC X), 1, 2 (1+2k), 4 (NAC X), 10 (CBBE), 11, and 16.

    For a better comparision, could you please head a little back to RR, and then go ahead to Goodneighbhor and compare your view with these 2 screenshots from the spoiler?

    Because I currently have no profile with an active SS2.

    But basicly, I have to say it, it looks like I would expect it to.

    However, you could press CTRL + ENTER (or END if you did not enable my supplied preconfig) to enter the ENB settings and "play" with the effects on the lower left until you're satisfied.

  12. Wanted to say thanks for these easy to setup collections for Fallout, or at least if I was using Windows 10-11 it would be easy, but on Linux it was a pain as certain mods (bodyslide, F4SE plugins, MCM) were causing trouble for me. Additionally, Vortex had some hiccups.

     

    But after a couple of hours getting everything to work in harmony, I now have a stable modded Fallout.

     

    Thank you for these collections as without them I would of probably had an even harder time!

    Im using Manjaro myself, its a great distro.

     

    I would have been surprised if it would have been running "out of the box" on a linux system though 😁😄😉

    First thank you for your approach. We all have different tastes and this works much better over 300-400 mods dropped at once and wondering what's going on.

     

    My main goal is to have the game have the best visual fidelity possible. (Whats the point of 64 gbs ram and a 3070 if you don't use it?)

     

    For the texture modules do they cover everything, except bodies?

    I like realistic physics like the hair moving in Witcher 3 and over modern games. Is that available?

    That was exactly my take on it, we all have different tastes, and the modular approach also helps to "switch" easily between a - lets say - FPS and/or building or even a RP approach.

    It also helps to avoid possible (well, figure out) mod conflicts, since noone can cover all conflicts, not with those 100k+ mods available! ;)

     

    Yes, the game (well, mods too) handle object and body textures "differently", as for each of them mods are "specialized".

    For one, there are a multitude of different body mods, each of which has a multitude of different skin mods. I have modules covereing CBBE (the classic) and FusionGirl (which recently have become by new favorite).

    Of course, they represent my personal preferences.

     

    For a general texture overhaul there are 2 different module collections, a 1+2k and a HD one, however, I would recomend the latter (HD) only if you play with 1440+.

     

    Since I have a low-med range computer/gpu, I did not bother looking for one (hair animation).

    However, I wanted to buy a new GPU within this/next month, so maybe (I urge the maybe) I'll add a hair-animation mod in the future.

    After a quick parsing... and just out of curiosity, why do you have 2 glock86 mods installed?

    I'm not sure how well Vivid Weather works with NacX, though I heared it works for some people.

    A crash to desktop (instead of loading into the game) is usualy an indication of missing masters, it has been reported that Vortex - sometimes - has issues to reckognize that.

  15. Thanks so much for all the work you've done. Really appreciate it.

     

    After installing all modules in order except the Synth and Warhammer ones. As well as adding two other collections (small weapons and armor ones), the load order appears to be less than ideal. At least based on the load order guides I used pre-collections. Everything does seem to work with very few issues, but as I continue to expand this setup, I will need to start converting some ESPs to ESLs and merging some.

     

    I'm thinking I'll need to straighten out my load order before proceeding, but Vortex seems to be kind of a pain in the arse in regards to load order (circular sorting issues).

     

    What would be your recommendation in regards to load order prior to ESLifying and Merging?

     

    Could you please be more specific?

    • Like what are the issues you mentioned?
    • Did (and do) you have those issues with my modules alone already, or only after adding more mods?
    • My Modules are designed to be used with each other, in an attempt to provide and grant a wide range of playablity - meanwhile, I can and will not support any and every available mod that is available on nexus and/or other pages, its just too much.

     

    On ESL'ing and Merging...

    • Dont mix with collections, your pain will increase.
    • Because the moment you use 1 mod of collection for your merge, you wont be able to just toggle that collection (because it will actiave the mod you've also merged and thus are using in another "mod"),
    • Mainwhile, ESL'ing can destroy loadorders that are stored and configued in collections, therefor also raising the cause of issues, as ESLs are loaded differently than ESP.
    • Not 1 person I know who is doing merges and manual ESL'ing uses collections (or anything smiliar), guess why.
  16. Hey Sephrajin - sorry to be away so long, you were talking about two quest mods being incompatible. I've been doing some testing and the only two that are natively incompatible are Depravity and SS2 because both use the same location. But, there's a simple patch for it. All it does is relocates the load door for SS2. Fiendishly clever. So I'm thinking I will add that quest module (if no one is already doing it.) There are so many good and great ones it'll be hard to choose to keep it managable.

     

    Uh sorry, seems I overlooked your post.

     

    I can not possible avoid any and all conclifts with every mod that is available.

    The "Depravity" is not in any of my collections, thus I dont see any responsiblity on my part.

     

    If you want to make a module that will take care of this, great, go ahead! :)

    just a quick hint that may be helpful for someone

     

    With my RTX 3080 i encountered few crashes both with using SKKFastNewStart as long i reach the gates of the vault or without shortly before reach the gates of the vault too, with vanilla no mod i got no issue at all and i managed to understand rtx 2000 and 3000 are having some issues handling debris

     

    I installed this small mod Weapon Debris Crash Fix at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) - and everything now run smooth with no crash: maybe it can be a good optional mod for one of your modules
