  1. Do you have any texture mods? Any visual enhancement mods?
  2. There's been no official release date for Dawnguard on the PC and you can also update your driver in your control panel.
  3. This is happening to a lot of people apparently and hopefully there will be an update for this issue. I'll try these console commands and see if they help my framerate issues as well.
  4. I don't think the mods are causing the issue because I have almost the same problem with my FPS dropping from 60 to 10-20 on high quality which is causing severe lag. I had to downgrade to low quality and edit my 3d settings so that Skyrim would be playable. Try turning on low quality in the options menu and try checking for an update on your graphics card for any new drivers. I wish I could help you more with this but my graphics is an nvidia Geforce gtx 260 so I have no clue where to start with the ATIs. If you have any 3d settings or a graphics control panel then try to edit the settings to the lowest quality. Other people are having the same issue and hopefully Bethesda will provide an update or something to fix this because there is virtually no way to fix this problem at the moment. I'm betting on an update before dawnguard releases on the PC so we might have to wait awhile. You could also send a report to Bethesda Support but they never reply fast enough. Also try disabling Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filter. That might help.
  5. I'll try that and see what happens because I used to be able to run on high settings and now I can't for whatever reason and I'm going insane. My FPS is at 45-55 right now on low quality.
  6. If you installed Skyrim as an admin then Skyrim should be across all profiles. Just search for it in the start menu and it should be there. Steam then syncs your account with Skyrim when you start it up on whatever windows profile your using. You should switch your main windows profiles to admins and turn off user account control.
  7. I think the ATI graphics might be causing that issue because I heard something about those in particular that were causing fps drops and lag or it could be one of the mods you are using.
  8. Well this has never happened before. I tried to load up a save and the fps was so bad I had to downgrade to low quality and edit my video card's 3d settings to the lowest so that Skyrim would run efficient enough to play. I ran high quality flawlessly until this randomly started happening. I have a 2010 Alienware M15x with an nvidia geforce gtx 260 and I have directx 10. I don't think any of my mods are causing it because I uninstalled a couple of big mods that I had and it didn't make any sort of difference and the only solution I have left is to uninstall and install Skyrim again but I fear that it wouldn't make a difference either. Another thing I noticed is that while I'm running around in the wilderness there is certain spots that are generating strange distorted sounds. If anyone else is having similar issues and would like to discuss this go right ahead. If anyone has an idea on how to fix this please share it. I sent a report to Bethesda support but they haven't emailed me back yet.
  9. I'm having the same issue but I'm pretty sure it has to do with whatever gamesave you loaded up because I started a new game today and it worked fine until I loaded up my other save that had the most content in it.
  10. First off I do use a lot of mods but I don't think they're causing the issue. The issue I'm having is that all of a sudden when I loaded up one of my save games that was saved in the moonpath it started to lag and have a huge fps drop. So I tried starting a new game and I still had the problem. Then I waited till this morning and loaded up my new game save and I had no problems at all but I tried to open the moonpath game save and then it all started happening again for all of my saves. I've tried running on low quality and that still doesn't work but maybe it has something to do with the moonpath.
  11. You can compare these two games but they're not in the same category. Battlefield 3 is more of a military simulation shooter as it always has been, while Modern Warfare 3 is more of an action/arcade regular shooter. Personally I would choose Battlefield 3 because it has better gameplay, tactical strategy, ability to use vehicles, maps are huge, more weapons to choose from, objectives, visuals look great etc. Modern Warfare 3 seems just like counter strike to me in which you just kill the other team the entire time although there is several objective type game modes to choose from. The MW3 community is full of whiny younger kids and trash talking players who take the game way too seriously. The Battlefield 3 community is more respected. If you're looking for realism go with Battlefield but if your looking for a fast paced unrealistic shooter go with Call of Duty.
  12. There's always room for improvement in any game.
  13. When I think of all the food that you can make on Skyrim while I'm making food in real life.
  14. I couldn't agree more and your right about Jedi Knight Outcast. When you would fight another sith or jedi or whatever in melee combat, it wasn't about health or perks or having a better sword. It was about timing and precision. You had to get a successful hit on the guy without him blocking it. If you got a good hit on the guy he would be dead but you could have been easily killed the same way.
  15. Dunmer are perfect Stormcloaks because the aldmeri dominion would eventually try to conquer them in Morrowind. Dunmer are perfect assassins for the Dark brotherhood in Skyrim. I also find dunmer women very sexy :)
  16. I think it would be nice if you could actually sit down in a class and listen to an instructor which would raise your skills depending on which magic school you were listening to.
  17. Try this Sea of Ghosts You could also try Alternate Start-Live Another Life.
  18. I'd do the main questline first and then head over to the thieves guild and join up. Another great guild is the dark brotherhood. Overall each guild has its own great storyline to follow with many interesting twists. Then I would do the civil war but that's just me. Skyrim has limitless opportunities.
  19. I'll most likely get the DLC when it comes out just to add some new stuff to do. And yes I know about all those quest mods I just don't download and play them. But what really upsets me is the huge waiting time for the PC players. I know we have access to unlimited mods, but we deserve the DLC at the same time as the rest. The 360 should not be able to get everything first hand.
  20. I play as both to get the full experience out of the game. It's the same thing when I play an mmo, I'll play both genders. I mainly play as a girl now because she's my thief/assassin character while my guy character is a regular warrior.
  21. With the PC version of Skyrim you have limitless mods to choose from that enhance your overall gameplay experience depending on what you like. But with the console versions of Skyrim you only have what the console is capable of which puts a limit on your Skyrim experience. That's why Skyrim on the PC is 100% better than the console versions.
  22. It only works after you update it I believe.
  23. If any of you have played the popular arcade game on xbox 360 then you probably have wondered why no one has created a castle crasher armor or weapons mod. It would look silly but it would be fun at the same time. If you haven't played it then here's a link. My link
