  1. Vortex is "NOT" an improvement over NMM for me! Little tiny mod views, a scattered and confusing menu, two weeks or more (off & on) trying to install Vortex until I just get Fed-Up with the entire process of upgrading! And still, I cannot figure out how to properly install it...every attempt gets the same results; "Mods can't be deployed" and then following and trying the "more and fix" options are just more of the same, "Mods can't be deployed". It is a pain in the ass trying to work this out! Give me the option of using my old NMM Format! The joy of playing Fallout 4 and other games has nearly vanished with this failed attempt to install Vortex. When I first downloaded NMM I was up and gaming in less than 15 to 20 minutes...no complications, no twists and turns or standing on my head trying to figure out the NMM deployment...NMM just took charge and had me gaming my favorite games nearly immediately, "THAT IS The Way It Should Be." Sorry guys, I know you’re doing your best...but for me this is just a looser! Maybe in in a few months or in a year or two I'll try it again, as for now, I'm heading back to Origin Gaming.
  2. I have never had a problem with NMM until just now, I can’t log into my desktop NMM. I have full access to NMM on line…my profile is up and everything looks fine. But, when I try to reach via desktop access to NMM it just doesn’t work. I have reloaded NNM twice within the last 30 minutes. I’m up to date on NMM & SKSE, as far as I know (Skyrim-Nexus: 1.9.32.0.8 and SKSE Version: 1.7.3 rel 48). The last time I played Skyrim was in the early hours of today Sunday 10/02/16 until about 3 or 4 am. I’m just can’t figure out why I have no access to NMM now. PC Info (two weeks old): *MSI Nightblade MI2: 4K UHD *32GB DDR4, NVMe M.2 500 Gb SSD & 4TB Hybrid SSHD *GTX 1060 6GB Vid-memory *Pretty much been playing FO4 & Skyrim since pc setup without issue. On line access to NMM via one or any of the following browsers up to now (* indicates usual browsers): *Chrome Firefox *Brave *Vavaldi Edge Internet Explorer Update: After reading Robin's post above I tried to play Skyrim and it works fine, I just can't currently upload mods. Still batting 100% on game play though and that's very cool.
  3. In response to post #24455004. Sandhorse, IMO your summarization of Dark0ne's post is spot-on correct and well stated, cheers and beers to you!
  4. Dark0ne, once again your post is excellent and I always enjoy them! For me, of the many outstanding points you offer, the point that stands-out and slaps me in the face, is the 75% Valve /25% author ratio; in my mind the ratio should be reversed. I know very little of corporate financial structure but, in this case, thoughts of greed, usury (though usury leans towards lenders but the ratios seem equivalent), and corporate misconduct and exploitation come to mind. It reminds me of the old tales of singers and musicians and their dealings with recording companies and their one-sided contracts. In reading this post I can’t help but wonder “What If and Why Not” NexusMods! NexusMods is an explosion of talent; if only it could be harnessed in a common symbiotic goal and create a game of its own. Imagine a game that is a talented creation that’s potentially bug free (or, if bugged, would be found and resolved quickly). The talent pool could ensure quality assurance. Though the management and financing of such an endeavor might be difficult, if not impossible, but if possible it sure would be impressive. Personal note: I became a Nexus Supporter today. I had intended to become a lifetime member by the end of the 1st quarter of 2015 but have had to push out that date for another quarter or possibly two.
  5. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post the following, my apologies if it isn't. I'm not a premium member yet, but I intend to be (a lifetime member) in early 2015 (Q1). I've gamed Skyrim since it was released and it was a great game for 3 gaming rounds. Then, when I joined Nexus Skyrim gaming "everything changed - forever"! The best gaming decision I've ever made has been creating my Nexus Mod account in April 2012. Now, for 3250+ (not including the initial 3 runs) I have enjoyed Skyrim gaming tremendously! I've been hitching a ride on NMM (freeloading) for over two years; my thanks to you Dark0ne and your talented team! One thing I have found, being an NMM member, is that you and your NMM team seldom get the recognition you deserve. You have my thanks and my gratitude! I defy anyone to find a better value and offer from any site on the World Wide Web. NMM deserves my support and you have it, but in Q1 2015 you will officially have a lifetime's of it. As for the occasional technical issues; "other then the stress and hard work it forces upon the NMM team", it simply doesn't effect me or my game play. I offer the NMM team my sympathy and respect, and I know NMM will be restored as quickly as possible. Additionally, you have my condolences for the river of BS you will need to wade through in its aftermath. One more thing; NMM hasn't just provided me a vast number of mods to improve my gaming joy, I've learned about load orders, cleaning mods with TES5Edit, LOOT, Wrye Bash, Script Extensions, System Performance, Animation, fabulous loving relationships with my dearest female followers, and I haven't even started thinking of creating my own mods yet. You have enhanced not just my gaming experience; you take me on an educational journey I'd never thought I would have been entitled to enjoy. BTW, thank you for your social monitoring of NMM; I've been on art sites where the level of expletives, vulgarity, and disrespect is deplorable. It's an additional joy being able to converse with others in a civil and respectful forum, again my thanks to you. In closing and, as stated before, there simply isn't a better value on the web! Thank You.
  6. ToppDog, currently Dragons Keep is locked. I hope this is due to you preparing for an update release. I'm really looking forward to moving into Dragons Keep and I believe your mod will be the best dwelling in Skyrim.
