  1. I was thinking of something like this My link And I love the idea of raidable convoys. You could work as a caravan guard also, stopping bandits.
  2. I have never liked the vanilla roads in skyrim. I want to see some actual roads, like a "High King's Highway" for the main roads. I want actual paved roads and not just a bunch of cobble stones. The cobble stones are great for sideroads, but not the main ones I would also love to see wagons driving up and down the roads as well.
  3. This is a Skyrim RP It takes place some 10 years after the Alduin's defeat. The new High King has called for a "Great Hunt" to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Alduin's defeat and the Dovahkin saving Skyrim. He calls on all warrirors and hunters in the land to bring him 5 trophies. A cave bear's pelt, a frost troll's third eye, the fang of a giant frostbite spider, A Hagraven's claw, and a Dremora's head. Hundreds of warriors, mages, and others show up to participate in the hunt, seeking glory and prizes. The High King announces that the winner will be named "Thane of Skyrim", and be recognized as a Hero in all the land. Rules: 1; No using another player's character without their permission. if you have an idea that would involve controlling their character in a post, run it by them first. 2; You can have up to 2 characters to your name. 3; Posts with extensively poor grammar will not be recognized. 4; Para-RP ONLY. No one liners. 5; Each character may have 1 melee weapon, 1 ranged weapon, and 2 spells starting out. 6; If you wish to be a Dragonborn, you must be approved beforehand. Also, because there are no dragon's after the fall of Alduin, any possible Dovahkin must go to High Hrothgar for training before using their abilities. 7; Your characters must be approved before you play. Please post your characters, based on the following application... Name; Race; Appearance; Height; Weight; Home Nation; Weapon of Choice; Magic (Post any spells that you know); Armor/Clothing of Choice; Backstory;
  4. Technically, it's only that Nexus does not allow copyrighted works on their site that would stop it. It's not actually copyright infringement unless you make money off of it. I can make the mod if I want to. I just can put it on Nexus.
  5. I disagree. They could easily have an original story based in TES universe. There is no need for a movie to follow the storylines of any particular game.
  6. I've seen thieves get an arrow in the back while trying to run from guards. And I've had two try to mug me on the road. The first one outside of Whiterun, so I cut off his head, and the second, I was in the guild and could point it out to get him to back down.
  7. first off, you need to make sure all the storage is pemrinmant and non-respawning
  8. CnD is from using their characters/settings/plotlines without their permission, and is indeed copyright infringement. CnDs come from CI; they're not two separate legal areas. As the guy above me pointed out, most reasonable companies will ignore you if only use their characters/settings/plotlines but make your own assets to represent them. If you're actually importing assets (models, animations, voice files, textures, source code, anything), then it has the potential to be much, MUCH more serious. The reason I'm making the distinction is to say that you really won't have any trouble if you using Skyrim assets, and if that's the case, you should go for it :). Technically it's not really illegal, unless you make money off of it. The only thing holding it back is the fact that Nexus does not allow copyrighted work to be put on theirn site.
  9. That's what I mean. The Dwemer have returned, and the player, either playing a member of the Empire or the Dominion, must work to unite the nations to face this new foe.
  10. There have been rumors for years of an Elder Scrolls movie/movie series. I want to know what people would like to see in a ES movie, and who they think should play in it. Personally, I think it would need to be an orignal story that has no direct connections to any of the games. This way, the writers would have a lot of creative freedom and not be bound to specific storyline.
  11. I want to see some flying monkies from the wizard of oz. Can someone make them?
  12. I have a couple ideas... 1; Revolution This is based around an Imperial backed Dunmer (and Argonian) uprising in Windhelm. The player can choose to help the Stormcloaks suppress the Dark Elves, or they can help the Dunmer get out from under the boots of their oppressors. 2; War of the Reach This is a continuation of the events in Markarth, with the player helping Madanach and the foresworn retake the reach, or help the nords keep control of the area.
  13. The only thing that is certain about Dwemer is that they disappeared and no one knows why or where they went. I think it would be perfectly reasonable for them to return just as unexpectedly. It would have to be done right, but I doubt that would be an issue, seeing as beth's storytelling has never been lacking.
  14. I know this forum is supposed to be for Skyrim, but I assumed it would be fine to have this thread. I want to know what everyone thinks of this idea for the next Elder Scrolls game. I call it "The Return". It is based around the return of the Dwemer race, which hundreds of years prior to the Elder Scrolls series. According to ES lore, the Dwemer simply vanished without a trace, and no one knows where they went or if they will ever return. In the Tribunal expansion for Morrowind, players meet the last know living Dwemer, who is searching for signs of where his people went. The game will take place 100 years after Skyrim. The Septim Empire and the Aldmeri Dominipon are at war once again, but are forced to join forces when a mysterious army comes out of nowhere and attacks on all sides of Tamriel. The player starts out as a prisoner of war in a camp belonging to either the Empire of the Domionion, depending on what race you choose, but you are being released thanks to a treaty signed between the two nations. If you choose a raise that is loyal to the Empire, you start out in a prison camp in Valenwood. if you choose an race loyal to the Dominion, you start out in the prison camp somewhere in Cyrodiil. I want to make the character creation aspect of the game a lot more in depth than previous games. I don't want the character to be some random person who drops out of no where. Your character will have a family, and an actual backstory. The main quest line will be the player working to ready the Tamriel forces to face the Dwemer.
  15. could someone work on a mod that makes it so NPCs who die in the game are buried and you can attend their funeral?
  16. Yes, but only in specific areas, such as major cities. The game itself, and all quests would be single player, or maybe 2-5 player co-op. You would also have the option to shut off all multiplayer aspects and the game would be completely single player.
  17. First off, I don't want any ES purists to worry. I'm not talking about a full scale MMO, or even a fully scale co-op game. I am simply talking about a few multiplayer aspects to allow players to work together. What I have in mind is close to the system that Guild Wars uses. Each major city acts as a player hub. Players can talk, trade, ect.....Outside of the cities, the game would remain single player and players would not see each other at all.
  18. I know that Wizards of the Coast has an Open License Agreement, allowing authors and game designers outside of their company to create and sell original materials for Dungeons and Dragons (though Wizards of the Coast claims partial ownership of all materials created for DND), but my question is, does this only deal with pencil and paper games, or does it deal with video games as well? Would it be ok to use DND materials for mods, or is it considered cvopyrighted materials?
  19. So, even if they have no grounds for a lawsuit, and there is no danger of being sued, unless they file a Cease and Desist order, which we have to receive from a lawyer before having any legal bearing, we would not be allowed to have copyrighted content?
  20. I was banned from the chat for something that I said about British people (calling them green teethed, tea drinking dirtbags, to be exact). This was meant to be a joke, but as usual, humor does not translate well over text, and I would like to ask that the ban be lifted. I want to apologize to anyone my comment offended. No offense was meant. I'd suggest watching what you say in future and that you take in mind who might be amongst the group around you. Chat block lifted - TVD.
  21. Well, we were very careful with copyright laws. In many cases, it's only copyright infringement if you make money off of it. Since we would be doing this as a non-profit work, the most REE could do is to file a cease and desist order with a court. They would not be able to sue for CR infringement. And they don't own the copyrights anyway. TOR books does. As for details, I'm not sure at the moment. I don't even have a timeline for when the landscaping work is gonna be done. Like I said, you are thinking of a cease and desist order......not copyright infringement, Legally, you have to make money on a project that uses another company's work to be guilty of copyright infringement. Since we would not be making money, REE would have no grounds to sue. If they did file a cease and desist order, and we violated, they would have grounds to sue, and we could be criminally liable for violating a court order, but they have to file that with a court before we would be breaking any laws.. It's very unlikely that they would be paying attention to sites like Skyrim Nexus to see if anyone is doing wheel of time mods. If they did find out, and filed a CAD order, we would stop and SN would have to delete all of our threads on it. But, like I said, filing that order is their job, and we have no legal issues until they do. It's actually the second biggest loophole in copyright law. The biggest loophole is that parodies are legally outside copyright law, and can make money, as long as they can be legally viewed as a parody (meaning that parody songs, and shows and movies, such as Weird Al, Robot Chicken, ect, do not have to pay to use copyrighted materials) This is the same people get away with making non-profit star wars and other big name fan movies without being sued......Because they tend to do them non-profit and are not guilty of copyright infringement.
  22. Can someone please make training equipment (dummies, targets, ect) that actually raise your skill when you use them? The world is filled with these things, but they are not good for anything. You should get half of the skill points that you get when using them on a living target.

  24. Who cares? If his sponsors want to drop him, it's their choice.
