    Greetings T1967
Sorry to see that you're having issues.
It looks like you may have mistakenly downloaded the Falskaar mod that is intended for Skyrim LE whereas you need the Skyrim SE version, linked below.

  2. ZoldFrog's post in MB:Bannerlord modding through Vortex is ruined...? was marked as the answer
    Greetings!
In Vortex, click on Extensions from the left. Search for Bannerlord and enable the extension if it has been disabled. If the extension is not there for you, it can be downloaded here: Mount and Blade II Bannerlord Vortex Support at Modding Tools - Nexus Mods
    Good luck!
  3. ZoldFrog's post in Download Not Starting (Asia/Oceania) June 2024 was marked as the answer
Hello friend, sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues.
Are you using any browser extensions in addition to your firewall/security programs that may be preventing the downloads? Have you tried opening Nexus using a different browser?

  4. ZoldFrog's post in anyone knows why vortex is doing this?? was marked as the answer
    Greetings!
Sorry that you're having an issue. If you click on Settings from the left and then the first tab, Interface, there is a setting for "Enable GPU Acceleration". Disable that and it should resolve your issue.
  5. ZoldFrog's post in hello newbie here was marked as the answer
    Welcome!
For the mods that are indicated as missing their masters, the mod(s) that they rely on to function properly, I would do the following:
From Vortex, click on Mods from the left column. Then, right-click on each mod that is missing a master. From the menu that appears, choose "Open on Nexus Mods". This will take you directly to the Nexus page for that particular mod.
Once there, click on "Requirements" which is just below the short description of the mod. First, you'll see "DLC Requirements" (if there are any). Ensure that you do have DLC if it/they are required. Next you will see "Nexus Requirements". These are mods/files that are available on Nexus and are also required for the mod that you're viewing to function. Download and install each of those that you don't already have. After the Nexus Requirements, you will see "Off-site Requirements" (if any). These are mods/files that are required but not available on Nexus. Those listed will be links to the off-site web page for those files.
After those, you will see "Mods requiring this file"; you do not need any of those listed. Rather, those are other mods that require the one you're currently viewing.
As you're reviewing the mods' pages on Nexus, read through the description page as there are often key pointers, installation instructions and various note about using the mod or other steps that may be needed to utilize the mod as intended.
Hopefully this will assist you in getting setup properly so that you can enjoy the game. Have fun and good luck!
  6. ZoldFrog's post in Help with collections was marked as the answer
    Greetings!
In Vortex, click on Mods from the left column. Once there, at the top right corner is a cog/gear. Click that and then a list of available sorting/informational columns will popup. Find and select the column labeled "Collection".
From the new "Collection" column, use the dropdown to choose "<None>". This will display the mods that are not part of the Collection that you downloaded with one exception (see below). From there, you can review those mods and disable the non-collection mods that you do not want to use.
Do use care in reviewing and disabling the non-Collection mods though as with Collections there is often one or more packaged mods that are actually part of the Collection despite appearing when "None" (Collection) is chosen. These are easily distinguishable as the entire row for that mod(s) will be off-color to the rest, a sort of yellowish-green color.
    Good luck & have fun!
  7. ZoldFrog's post in "Failed to Set Game Mode" was marked as the answer
    Greetings!
    Sorry that you're having trouble.
You should be able to correct this by adjusting the path to the game. Click on Games from the left tree, then click the vertical ellipses in the top right corner of Skyrim SE. Choose "Manually Set Location".
For you, this should read: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim Special Edition   ... (Remove the \Data from the game path)
    Save.
Hopefully this will correct your issue. Good luck!

Vortex update 1.11.4 has been released and addresses this issue: Vortex at Modding Tools - Nexus Mods

  9. ZoldFrog's post in error (intermediate value)(intermediate value)(intermediate value).then is not a function was marked as the answer
It’s the game extension for Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 which has an error in it. Close Vortex and then delete it from c:\%appdata%\Vortex\plugins. After that, restart Vortex and you should no longer get the error.

    Good luck & have fun!
  10. ZoldFrog's post in Vortex not recognizing mod archives was marked as the answer
It looks like your downloads folder may not be set properly in Vortex. Click Settings -> Downloads. This should be a separate folder, outside of the game's folder. It's currently pointed to the game and thus the .esp file, which makes the message about it not looking like an archive correct.
Edit to add: If you do still have the archives stored locally and have not removed/deleted them, you can redirect the Downloads path to the location of those archives.
  11. ZoldFrog's post in Plugins not sorted because of cyclic rules was marked as the answer
    Greetings
Cyclic rules means that you have two or more load order rules in place that are telling a mod(s) to be two (or more) places at once. For example:
FakeModB loads after FakeModA and FakeModB loads before FakeModA.
FakeModB can not be both before and after FakeModA.
If you click on "Manage Rules" from the top toolbar, you can review your rules and correct them as needed. Remember rules are required when two or more files in the mods are in conflict, the one that you set to load after will win that conflict and will be what you get in-game as a result.

Greetings...Mass Effect Legendary, the entire series actually, does not have Vortex support which is why you're unable to find it.
Here is a link to the mod manager used for those games. Good luck & have fun!

  13. ZoldFrog's post in Vortex Error: 'Failed to Set Game Mode' for Fallout 4 was marked as the answer
Sorry that you're having trouble. The game path should end, be targeted to, the game's root folder. Based on the information you've provided, that should be D:\Steamlibrary/SteamApps/Common\Fallout 4  (remove the \Data from your current setting)

    Good luck!
  14. ZoldFrog's post in error=EXDEV: cross-device link not permitted was marked as the answer
Greetings & sorry to hear that you're having troubles.
This looks rather like your Staging folder is not properly setup; it needs to be on the same drive and, if you have them, within the same partition as the game installation. The Downloads, however, can be on any drive, preferably the one with the most available space.
To change the Staging folder, select Settings from the left column of Vortex and then the Mods tab. It's important to note that you should make this change in Vortex and allow Vortex to move the files/information rather than moving them yourself.
If you would like to move the Downloads, this also should be done in Vortex and again is from Settings, then the Download tab.

    Good luck & have fun!
  15. ZoldFrog's post in Vortex file storage location was marked as the answer
It sounds like you left the mod downloads, the archives, when you uninstalled them. Check for Drive:\Vortex Mods_DL
  16. ZoldFrog's post in No Launcher on Dashboard, Need To Launch Using Script Extender was marked as the answer
The script extender launcher is there, it's the one with the blue icon both in the tools section and at the top left. From the Tools section, click the vertical ellipses to the right of it and choose "Set as Primary"
If it's not working for you, make sure that the following info is directed correctly by choosing edit from the same vertical ellipses.
    Target: DRIVE:\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\f4se_loader.exe
    Starts In: DRIVE:\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4
  17. ZoldFrog's post in Nexus is not downloading anything at all was marked as the answer
More often than not, this is the result of a privacy setting and/or a browser add-on. You can try granting Nexus access, temporarily disabling them or using another browser. More information can be found here: Troubleshooting website issues - Nexus Mods Site Help
    Good luck!
