What PC i need to run Skyrim at 4k 60FPS modded?
Wavecannon replied to nonitojames007's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Interesting. Can't think of my CPU at present; but it's i7 series. Card is a GTX980ti. Windows 7. With fully optimised VRAM. While the frames dip in some areas; for the most part I am very close to 60fps. 320 plus Mods. Used this tutorial to install: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76373/? -
I just had to wade in and say that I simply deleted dragonactorscript.pex and MQKillDragon.pex. This solved my "No Absorb" problem. Note: I am in Skyrim using the Legendary Edition Patch (And all DLC's). - The "No absorption" started right off the bat with the Dragon at the Western Watchtower. While I agree that messing around in the scripts folder is not for the uninitiated: The simple deletion of those two files worked for me. Was fighting my toon's second Dragon and just kept saving and checking all the suggestions...this worked. Thank the Gods!

The biggest issue for me is the plain fact that certain mods are not ported for SE yet (and possibly never will be). Jaysus Swords, Serana and Family, and Lustmord Armour are just three examples (Jaysus requires Sharlikan's compatability patch in order to work properly in Oldrim also. But those weapons are just to beautiful for me to give up). I have recently been given a great PC which is able to run Oldrim WITH and mild ENB (Video Card is a GTX960Ti 4 gig. it also is Win7 OS which is a big advantage when running Oldrim. As Win8/10 have that damned RAM/DirectX bug). With the wonderful guide that is posted in the Oldrim Mods: Installing a modded version of Oldrim is easier than ever (Still takes work yes; but if a stump like me can do it, anyone can lol). I am going to watch as SE matures with SKSE/SkyUI. If it starts getting a bit more love I may switch; but for now....Oldrim.

My question is probably the lowest intelligence one of the month/week/year (Thank goodness 2017 is still young): Once SKSE for SE is released, will one be able to install older mods that one loves in Vanilla? Or will they require someone to create compatibility mods for them. My example (a well loved one) is Jaysus Swords. - It already requires Sharlikan's compatibility mod in order to run properly in Vanilla Legendary. I cannot picture a Tamriel without Jaysus fine sword collection...

I like the mod "make anyone your follower". I use Braith for the Boethia quest See? Braith just doesn't bug me that much. Nelkir on the other hand...if I am here to lick his Father's boots; why is it I would rather murder his father's youngest child?

THANK YOU TO ALL MODDERS FOR WHAT YOU DO!
Wavecannon replied to OnoSendai58's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
A HUGE Thank you to the Modders. Anyone who wonders at the longevity of TES:S need only look at what you all have done. My personal thanks to: Jaysus (Sorry that his attendance here ended so long ago; but his Swords are still amongst the best weapon models I have seen). Sharlikan for his compatibility mod which makes Jaysus still work/mesh with the game properly. AmethystDeceiver (Lustmord Armor is still my favourite armor mod. As well as the Arise Sets). Caliente!!!! HothTrooper: Thanks for the Immersive Mods! There are TONS of others that have improved my adventures through Skyrim. To you all, a big THANKS! -
Serana is one of the good guys...I mean people...I mean Undead... Any perusal of European myth and one can discover that not ALL Vampires are "Evil". -Being cursed/born into a *ahem* "bloodline", or being targetted by another Vampire is NOT a precursor toward true evil. One's personality does not get subsumed by the state of Vampirism unless one succumbs to the fact that one is immortal...and powerful. -THIS is the true point at which evil can take hold. And it can be fought. Especially if one has a conscience (As Serana seems to have). And she is truly one of the best followers. She does at times seem to "hover" a little to close during the questline (Is it me? Or does she do that more often when one's toon is still a "Mortal"?)...

Do you plan to switch to Skryim remastered/special edition?
Wavecannon replied to Crossforge's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I am in the "Wait and See" category. I am not as astute as many here. So I NEVER buy into a game or release until I know it works. And especially since I play Skyrim with a lot of Mods I deem absolutely necessary: I will stick with what I have, and know. I'll watch the community reaction, and see what happens before I install it. Hell. I'm waiting for the new system before I get Blood and Wine; as my present one can barely run Witcher 3 in a satisfactory manner (it does run it ok; but not in it's full glory). -
Any way to make my mods incompatible with consoles?
Wavecannon replied to Koveich's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Consoles being "cheaper" is a bit of a red herring: Xbox has gone through three or four model changes in the same period of time that I have been using my (soon to be retired) present PC. -Which I built and maintained myself. From time of initial build to now, my system has cost me less than 1400 CDN. While it was never "bleeding edge": It has been able to run Skyrim with over 100 mods. As well as WoT, Neverwinter, WoW....the list is long. Hell: I'm even playing Witcher 3 "adequately" on it. And it's only dual core. ;) Consoles are really about convenience. Which does not equate to "value" in my opinion. -
Faendal. I always take him to the Shrine of Boethia...

Hi TheBrux! I also have Immersive Armors installed but it does not cause the same problem as you mentioned in your above post. Immersive Armors only adds in new armors (mesh and textures) to the game and should not affect any "physics-related" bugs in-game. The closest guess would be the scripting involved in Immersive Armors making certain NPCs equip certain armors but I don't see how it will affect the wagon/carriage and the horse in the Intro-tutorial when starting a new game. The problem could have arise from another mod. :geek: However, if you don't mind starting the game from another viewpoint/scenario, you may want to download alternate new game mods such as Alternate Start - Live Another Life; though I must say I would prefer having the vanilla Intro-tutorial because it delivers the story better. :D Funnily enough, I did not have this problem with the base Immersive Armour Mod. But I did have the "Jumping carriage Effect" occur when I tried to use the Immersive Armours CBBE patch/addon. I am going to see if it works now that my toon is in Riverwood.

I would recommend AmethystDeceiver's Lustmord Armour mod as a nice added touch: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25852/?

Skyrim has ascended beyond Half Life 2 (all episodes) as my all-time favourite single player game. It's replayability both as a stand-alone, then as a modded game is without equal. I want to thank all the great modders in this community for what they have done.

My thanks good sir. This fix, fixed the unfixed. May Zenithar's Hammer bless your work!

I do the same thing on my first trip from Riften to Ivarstead: Swim the lake and river to get to Ivarstead. Beats walkin'.
