After playing in Survival Mode for quite awhile now I have come to the conclusion that it brings nothing fun to the game. Survival mode doesn't feel like survival...it feels like work...tasks. And when I finish said "tasks" I don't feel any sense of accomplishment. I get it, its suppose to be this ultimate hardcore hard level of play. I did feel like I was fighting for my life, but only during stressful gun fights and battles. Not when I am scrounging around looking for a place to sleep just to save the game. That's when the game stopped being fun. Also you MUST sleep in a bed mattress, not a sleeping bag or even on the ground cause your character will still be tired which I found ridiculous. The sleep method in survival mode is frustrating. Its like Bethesda doesn't know squat about outdoor survival or didn't bother to really look into it. They just implemented it based on just the game assets. I have slept outdoors before (in real life), in a sleeping bag, and tho I didn't get a great nights rest, I wasn't tired when I woke up. Also the constant "thirst" (and even more so when you use a stimpak), the two items of food I have to eat just to be satiated is so ridiculous. Maybe i'm nitpicking, but I found Survival mode just sucked the fun right out of the game and became taxing and more stressful then I like in my Bethesda games. Maybe I am too spoiled with Skyrim and how easy mods made surviving that game. I dunno. I don't look forward to playing through on Survival Mode, not because I don't like the challenge but because its just not fun to me.

"save relies on content no longer present" ?

My saves are screwed. *sigh* - Looks like i'm gonna have to start over...again. Never again will I use a mod that changes anything on the inside of settlements. -

Gotcha. Thank you Dante! -
Okay this is weird. After removing a mod that had the cell reset bug I played for like 5 straight hours without an incident, saved the game like 10 times during that play through and then all of sudden it crashed. I went to load my last save and it tells me this...http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss114/majikku22/20160503134456_1_zpsfhijbxam.jpg What the hell is this that is missing?!?! Anyways, I loaded that save and the game CTD again. So I loaded the save again, and as soon as the save loaded I saved it (new save) immediately. I didn't wait for another CTD but whats funny is that I reloaded that save and it said nothing about "content no longer present". Loaded just fine. WTH?!?!

Now it says I have 17 people in my settlement. But when I ring the bell to gather them I count 14. I looked around the settlement and there is no one missing. There are no travelers or provisioners. Now if I count Codsworth, Dogmeat and Junkyard Dog that would make 17. My question is does Codsworth or even dogs count towards settler numbers? Am I missing 3 settlers?

Yep. I can confirm after update 1.3.47 (full patch, not beta) that when I try to load a save game when I am already in a game it CTD. Also gave me a hard time when first loading up after it updated, but I think that was due to a few mods I have in the game. What is causing the issue, I have no clue.

Yea, I only use the in game beds. Homemaker beds don't work most of the time.
-
HA! I closed out my game, and about 20 minutes reloaded my last save...they all started retreating to their beds! Seriously! Oh Bethesda!
-
Some modded doors and floors but nothing that should make ALL of them huddle in one area. A few beds are in other areas that do not have modded doors or floors. They have no issues doing daily routines using modded doors or floors...so why the heck would they have a problem using beds? I do have some of them assigned to beds but not all of them. I am completely baffled! I have heard that you can only put like 4 beds in an area at a time. I hope that's not true.
-
For the life of me I have no idea what I am doing wrong with the NPC bed situation! I know NPC's go to bed at night but the NPC's in my game do not. Do I have too many in one room or in one area? Do they all need to be assigned to a bed? Is this a Bethesda bug? Why do they all just huddle in one area at night?!?!

Building wall corners in the game completely sucks! They give you corner options (which do not snap in place with already existing walls) but what if I want to make a angled wall then suddenly a corner to go right or left with the wall type I am using? Nope. Walls snap right on and you must keep going straight. I think Bethesda screwed up a little on that. Just a minor gripe but a gripe nonetheless. I want to make my own wall corners!!!

Yea I just read Chesko's letter to what happened between him and Steam. It seems the fog was lifted from his face about Valve and Bethesda's true intentions. http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/33qcaj/the_experiment_has_failed_my_exit_from_the/ -

Yep. I can see that all the pay mods are unavailable now. Maybe Steam is restructuring their policies so the "Art of the Catch"/FNIS issue doesn't happen again. -

Blacklake, a.k.a Dreogan...took his Skyforge Shields and Weapons mods off the Nexus and put them up for paid items on Steam (under review). Now THIS is what also ticks me off. He didn't update them. He didn't do anything with the mods. They are the same mod files from 2 years ago. Now he feels he deserves compensation for his work cause at the time he was unemployed when he was working on them. Is he serious?!?! I know modders work hard on their mods...some even sacrifice a normal life for a few weeks to a few months. Some are unemployed. I get that. Life sucks sometimes. But its not about people wanting free stuff....its about being fair. No one asked him to work on it or even to share it with the community. He made the decision to spend time to create the mods. Probably did it because he loved it. Now he feels he is owned some compensation? That is just wrong and very shady. Clearly this is the ugly side of the pay mod problem. Not hating on the man because he's entitled to do what he likes with his mods. But to make us feel that he is owed something? I don't know about you but that is just straight up bull$#!+!!! -

Here the thing...I was never mad at the modders. They have every right to do what they wish with their mods. Share them, don't share them, charge for them. Its all up to them. What ticks me off is Bethesda and Valve cashing in on this! Clearly they have seen what the modding community (and not just Skyrim's but other games as well) can do and how the communities goes nuts for them! They are trying to capitalize on mod authors hard work and compensating them barely scraps. Taking majority of the profits for just hosting the mods. And here we have Nexus (i'm sure they make something off of ad rev and pop-ups) and they don't charge diddly for mods. Modders can ask for donations here which I have donated in the past before...several times. Greed is ugly. But its more ugly at the expense of someone else's hard work. -

Better Combat AI is being reviewed as a paid mod. But check this out...the mod author (Joop) is making two versions. Both will be exactly the same, and update the same as well but one will be a paid mod (strictly for donations) and the other will be free! See...there is still faith in the modding community! That is an awesome idea! Here is where the free mod is at.... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=160829215 -

In response to post #24427299. #24436169, #24559099, #24559199, #24559584, #24559909, #24560084, #24560804, #24561089, #24561119, #24563249 are all replies on the same post. Heres the thing...it is greed! Valve's greed! Not the modders. The modders are being used. If Valve cared about getting modders paid why not give the modders 75% instead of a crappy 25%! I'm all for donating to modders and the community to help them out. But this is plain outright greed by Valve!
