  1. The mod isn't dead, but I have been unable to track down anyone willing to do the modeling for it. I can do textures and writing but without anything to hang them on it is pointless. (Not an April fools joke btw) (Never post when sleep deprived, April isn't in February.)
  2. I'm looking at art sites, considering commissioning a 3d artist to make the parts I need to start texturing. It would be; ArmsLegsHeadTailsFor now feline and canine, with variants for male and female working with breezes, and either T3 or T6m depending on feedback.
  3. As an update, I think I've written a pretty fleshed out story-line for the races. Reading through the comments I realized I forgot to give Lazerlatte the measurements. So just message me what way you want me to send them and I'll send them to you after the weekend rush.
  4. Once I have models to work with that should be a simple thing to accomplish. We would just use the child models as a replacement for the adult. The problem would be refitting every outfit in the game to fit them. Or a more simplistic option would be to scale the adult model down to child size.
  5. That is a plan, but there are issues with custom races on that game. For instance finding a way to make the endgame picture reflect the change.
  6. I don't want to get into specifics, because that would be too personal. But since the last post a lot of my time was spent arguing with my medical issuance company. But that is all resolved now so unless I'm called in to work last minute I should be done with measurements tomorrow.
  7. I'm not saying Zbrush isn't art, just not a medium I'm familiar with. I have experiance doing spritework so, if you gave me a UV map and a picture showing how that map fits. I'm sure I could make something good. As for proportions, give me until 5pm UTC-6. One thing I want to point out is Izumiko was kind enough to let us use the T6M mods assets. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45505/ And from what I've read the Breezes base is free to use as long as the terms in the mod pack are followed. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35451/
  8. The model looks like it is going in the exact direction. As for textures it will be compleatly covered with fur, but I'm planning on doing the texture myself. One of the things I am good with is making digital art. (When I get back from work I'll give some ideas)
  9. I didn't hear back from you on what resources you wanted. However I have the next two days off, so I'll compile refrence pictures, proportion mesurments, and a text document describing ideas in a .zip/.7z package. If any of that is unneeded, if you need additional resources, or if you have issues/concerns. Then don't hestitate to contact me. *Edit* Meant to add this onto the last post. I apologize to the moderators for this breach of protocol. (Had a wave of customers, so didn't get the days off I was planning on. I'll try to get it finished in my freetime.)
  10. It would be the Alaska faction, so the animal would be the wolf. Just tell me what you need and I'll compile it tommorow or Monday depending on cirumstances.
  11. It's not dead, I'm working on lore. I haven't heard from the guys offering to help with modeling, so I've been looking for other options.
  12. To clarify I was suggesting that people who want bows should work with someone who made a bow mod for FO3/NV/TTW.
  13. For FO3/NV/TTW we would have to work through mods. However FO4 uses the Skyrim engine, so there is already code for bow/crossbow physics.
  14. Just placing them into the world of Fallout would be jarring. This stuff helps weave them into the world and make them belong. Also as a little addendum, I think Improvman opened this thread for input, so if you'd like to see a heavier emphasis on FEV animals you should contribute your ideas/requests. There is some info on the FEV aspect in the Burrows document. That is accurate, I'll welcome any ideas that people have.
  15. Each tribe in the Four Corners Commonwealth is known by their signature weapon. When I came across this picture I knew it would be great as the signature weapon of the Cougar Race. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_Kl2qehyNY/UkjnvKypbLI/AAAAAAAAEF4/qg1KMMG0wAM/s320/964474_632589823437467_1533620255_o.jpg This was my lore idea for it: "The New Canaanites were the first contact [Faction] had with humans." (Player): Does every [Faction] carry one of those swords? "Yes, each [Faction] earns one as proof of adulthood. They claim it is a relic from the first New Canaanite prophet. However if you speak to their keeper, he says they are replicas of a replica. Some movie about the New Canaanite scriptures that was ended when the bombs fell." (Player): *post Honest Hearts* It has the same glyphs as Joshua Graham's book. What does it say? " ." (seems the Deseret alphabet doesn't display.) "This sword will never be sheathed again until the kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of our God and his Christ." (Legend says that was engraved on the blade) The sword is made from molds they keep safeguarded. The sword has a steel blade with a brass hilt. The metal is obtained by melting steel items such as silverware and brass objects like doorknobs. They are a tad on the zealot side when it comes to the ways of the God of Canaan. Which is why they react hostilely to anyone asking for a sheath for the sword. I was thinking that the player could get one upon gaining Idolized reputation. (That would likely be covered by a follow up mod)
  16. Found an interesting series of reference pictures. There are other ones linked in the descriptions of the images. Not sure if they would be of use, so didn't include them. Feet: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/9458509/ Hands: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/9478962/
  17. That seems easy enough, I would need a picture to know what kind of feet to model. I'll browse image sites tomorrow and get back to you.
  18. I'm not sure, perhaps if the leg the same general length it would work. I'm not a expert on how the animations and skinning work in Fallout, but if you were to skin something like that in Maya, every time the leg would bend at the knee, the entire part that is different would warp into a really unnatural bendy shape that doesn't even slightly resemble a bent knee. Changing the way the leg bends is far, far beyond my ability when it comes to Fallout modding. In that case I guess changing the feet would be better until that issue is figured out.
  19. I'm not sure, perhaps if the leg the same general length it would work.
  20. My idea was to take the Type 3 base for females, and Breezes base for males. I am currently working on the Arctic Wolf faction (I'll get to that later) so examples will base on that. Would be to re-proportion the legs to be more like said animals proportions. Would be to adjust the arms to reflect the proportions of the animal skeleton. Would be to make a head with the animal's features. Would be adjusting the torso as needed. For instance a reptilian/avian species not having breasts due to the lack of mammary glands. The Arctic Faction is: Genetically 36% wolf 34% malamute, and 30% human. So the torso would be pretty much human with fur. The tail a place I'd leave for artistic interpretation. Hands and feet would naturally develop as 4 main toes with fighting claws. With a smaller dewclaw for keeping hold of prey. Dewclaws would be left up to your digression. I think they would set the model apart. However lore-wise it would make sense for them to remove them near birth. As snagging a dewclaw can cause crippling injury and they could use tools to make up for the loss. On the front paw dewclaws could double as thumbs. If at anytime you think something will work better I'd encourage you to try it and link so we can all weigh in on it. As this project is ultimately for the users.I'll try to find some good example pictures of ideas I have. For instance most people do the standard canidae tail. But a tail like http://jesonite.deviantart.com/art/ANN-MARIE-Old-Ref-Sheet-103554712 would show off the Malamute part of the DNA. In that case the tail length would be for the tail unrolled.
  21. Still doing the math for the arctic wolf faction but here here are proportions to help. The males are: 4'6" - 6'7" total height, a tail of 1'3" - 2'1" for balance, and an approximate ear size of 5". They have a skull that is 1'- 1'2" long, and 7" - 8" wide. The females are: 4'2.8" - 6'1.9" total height, a tail of 1'2" - 1'11" for balance, oddly wolf ear size varies more being 4.3" - 5.2". They have a skull that is 11"- 1'0.8" long, and 6.1" - 7" wide. Like in humans, the hind leg bones are the longest bones in the body. (maybe excluding the spine/tail) And are i grouped the legs into four sections. Top, Middle, Feet, and Toes. Top and middle would be the top and bottom of a human's leg. While being digitigrade the foot is split into two sections one extending the legs. So if they stop toe-walking their height drops by the length of the foot bone. In males: 2'2.16" - 3'2.28" Top: 6.6" - 9.6"Middle: 10.92" - 1'3.96"Feet: 8.76" - 1'0.72"Toes: 1.8" - 2.52"In females: 2'0.6" - 2'11.88" Top: 6.12" - 9"Middle: 10.2" - 1'3"Feet: 8.16" - 1'Toes: 1.68" - 2.4"Still doing measurements for the torso and arms. I'm using an anatomical model for a canine and referencing it with the human skeleton. However I'm having trouble finding a female canine diagram, so proportions are based on the male skeleton. I heard from dinnergaming, seems s/he is having computer issues and that is why they are not responding.
  22. I highly doubt it will be that easy as fallout 4 may be on a whole new engine. Actally it is using the Skyrim engine so I'm going to read tutorials on using CreationKit. Fallout 4 however will be a secondary objective.
  23. Dinnergaming I sent a message last week, however I never heard back from you. I'm not sure about the default for notifications, so I want to make sure you know about it. In the mean time, do you have a deviant art or some other site I can see your prior work?
