  1. Anyone think it would be cool to have your beard grow over time in Skyrim? Could someone make such a mod? Maybe with a shaving feature that resets your beard to ‘no beard’. Just something I thought could be really immersive. Feel free to post some thoughts.
  2. Cheers, can anyone confirm this?
  3. Hi there, I’ve been moding for a while now but have never uninstalled/reinstalled Skyrim before; if I do uninstall then reinstall Skyrim, will I lose my mod that I’ve been working on? Along with all the models and textures I’ve downloaded? Please reply, Cheers!
  4. Same for me, I can't log into NMM, it says the password is incorrect, when it is.
  5. @fg109 Sorry, just to let you know i got it working and its just what i was hoping for, cheers!
  6. humm when i put it into the skyrim data folder it says its broken :turned:
  7. Thanks fg109 that sounds just like what I wanted! Is it up on nexus?
  8. Fg109 Yes please! I really don’t care about the menu thing it’s just one of those things you have to deal with I guess.
  9. Hi fg109, You seem like a very experienced modder/scripter so I thought I’d come to you with a request. Here’s what I’m trying to do; I’d like to be able to make the “stockadeBarricade01Activator” a constructible using 5 pieces of firewood and 10 leather strips. I want to be able to use it with my camping mods. I.e. I want to be able to make several and set them up in the wild to ‘fortify’ my campsite. But here comes the really tricky bit; the mod “Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger by tek_7” has a really neat placement system. Whereby you equip the item and its remove from you inventory (in this case the chest/ camping kit), then you can interact with it and “set up the camp”. Doing so spawns several markers that you use to place your campsite objects. For example, a campfire marker is a piece of wood. You can then activate it and it becomes a campfire. However, the next bit is what I’m interested in, once the campsite item is placed you then have the option to rotate its position, replace it or confirm its position. This feature is great and I’d love to be able to add it in combination to the stockadeBarricade01Activator constructible version. Just to recap this is what the ‘vision’ is... I have 5 pieces of firewood and 10 leather strips. I go to the tanning rack and can make a “Makeshift Barricade”/(stockadeBarricade01Activator). I make one and head off into the wild. I set up my camp and want to fortify its position. I go into my inventory and equip the Makeshift Barricade icon. The marker/icon then appears on the ground in front of me so I can pick it up and move it to where I want to put it. I then activate it and it becomes a stockadeBarricade01Activator which I can rotate, replace or confirm its position. I confirm its position and spend the night there. When packing up my camp I simply activate the confirmed position model and it says “disassemble?” or “do nothing”. I disassemble it and its added back into my inventory as a Makeshift Barricade. I know it’s possible as tek_7 did it and used some of his own models. But I’m years away from being able to mod to that degree of complexity. Some of these ideas have already manifested in this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9463 Sadly his don’t work and are very buggy as well as the fact he replaced several of the original Editor Ids and that of a default weapon paralysis enchantment :wallbash: However, you seem like this would be easy for you to get it right! If this is too easy for you, you could do the same with different traps like caltrops and Dwemer pressure plated mines? So would you be able to do this?
  10. @kevkiev Thanks! yer I downloaded the crash fix but may uninstall it now if it's in the new version anyway  I'll try it without then with if I get another CTD. While I’m here has anybody has similar issues with the Tytanis mod and/or Midas magic? Cheers!
  11. @hangarspace Thanks very much! That would explain a lot, when I was testing the mods to compatibility I checked all the read-me’s and all the comments for compatibility issues and CTD’s. But didn’t check SOS because it didn’t occur to me that an audio mod would cause a CTD :s do you/your son use NMM? If so would you be able to give me a little info on how to use load orders effectively? I’ve just downloaded the crash fix, but am kinda unsure what to do with it. I clicked no to the upgrade option then ‘no to all’ and it says its activated but it doesn’t show up in the plugins... is this normal? Cheers again!
  12. If you use NMM is it likely that deactivating some mods will only partially remove them? I have so many CTD's its unreal but since I reinstalled Skyrim it’s only happened twice. I have a list of mods that I loaded one by one to make sure it didn’t happen due to mod incompatibility and that worked fine. Then yesterday I loaded 2 new mods and after an hour I got a CTD. So I deactivated the 2 new mods and played again... for 3 mins lol. (After 3 mins I had another CTD.) So I really don’t know whats going on!?
