please bare with me as it is kinda difficult to explain these errors, but basically whats been going on is that dragons are spawing dead all over the place, particularly in whiterun. I think theres maybe 3 dead dragons there including Sahlokiniir (hope I spelled that right) who I already faught and killed quite a while back. there is also one in riverwood and again later on it was sahlokiniir further into the village. also I am having these weird graphical flickers, kinda like when you look at the mountains from far away, but instead its very close up, usually in a kinda triangle shape, narrow lines, and things like that, sometimes its even the whole screen. it doesn't happen very often and it only lasts half a second but it is noticeable. then to top it all off I seem to be having trouble with my shadows, on NPCs they look almost like tetris pieces, the ground doesn't look too bad but the npcs are very noticeable, and flicker just the same as the mountains shadows. now none of these issues are game breaking but theyre kinda annoying and I would like to try to fix them, do you happen to know what the problems may be?

just to recap I cant get my followers to use the spells, iv left them in their inventory as tomes, iv used the console to give them the spells and done so through the CK. still I cant get them to use the spells. is there a step that I am missing or can this not be done with UFO?

im not 100% certain but so far that isn't working, I played around with a follower for about 3 hours and not once did he use the spells I gave him in the CK. now I don't know for certain if that means he will never use it but so far no luck.

just for the record I recently decided to switch from AFT to UFO so I am sorry if this question has been answered before but a quick google search and a search here didn't really help me this time around. I was just curious if there was a way for followers, when using UFO, to use spells from say Midas Magic or Forgotten Magic? I give them the spell tome and tell them to study it but it doesn't seem to work, that and I think in a couple of cases the book is still in their inventory. I bring this up because I have a paladin follower and for some reason, I don't know exactly why, but it just looks wrong having him cast a bloody fireball (not quite holy magic lol). I have a couple followers like that so that's really the only reason I ask. again I am sorry if this has been covered before, please don't belt me with tomatoes.

First off I am sorry about posting for help regarding an adult mod, I will try to make this as unawkward as possible. if it isn't cool to post for help with adult mods I do apologize and will gladly delete this thread. basically what im trying to do is have the Mature Skin Texture work with a mod called Natural Breast Animation to make everything in general look more realistic and it kinda worked with the exception of a neck seem/gap problem. the mod description recommended downloading CHSBHC and then installing the natural animation mod overtop of that, overwriting everything. but when I tried to fix the problem with the neck (granted I still don't know how to fix that) everything got messed up. I tried redownloading and installing all 4 mods in the exact same order but it doesn't work anymore. what am I doing wrong and is it possible to fix this and the neck problem? I don't know if its ok to post links to the mods, but they are nexus mods, if asked I will provide links. thanks.

normally I would do this sort of thing myself but I cant get my CK to load anything but Skyrim and Update. all the DLCs cause an error despite the fact that iv added them to the ini file. after fiddling around trying to find an answer and getting it to work I gave up. this is literally all I wanted to do, just make Rayya look more like Saadia without the scars. can someone with a working CK do this?

there are a few healer follower mods at the moment but nothing that really stands out for an evil character. I don't know, maybe a dark cleric or something. the ones that are out right now, don't get me wrong I love them, but they don't scream evil or demonic really. something along those lines?

I experienced issues with a lot of my games for a few months there and bought a new graphics card to counter the problems. before that I had complete system crashes when playing skyrim, fallout 3, dishonored, battlefield 3, flatout, and few others. the only ones that weren't crashing my system were source games (l4d, css, portal 1&2, half life), and minecraft so I took a look around and found out it was due to overheating. the overheating was being caused by my failing graphics card, so I replaced it and sense then I haven't had a single problem with any game, no ctds, no full system crashes, no missing textures, nothing. ever sense then everything seems to be working just fine with the exception of skyrim. I was toying with the notion of a complete 100% fresh install, including SKSE, but unmodded and playing the game for a bit to see if that corrects the problem, then gradually install the mods just to be sure that the problem isn't mod related (which I don't think it is, but im not certain of that). maybe theres a corrupted file in there somewhere that I cant find or something, I don't know, im just guessing at this point. as far as those programs are concerned, thanks for the links, ill get those programs up and running and just be absolutely sure the problem isn't due to overheating when I do the fresh install mind you as I mentioned before I have had experience with my system overheating while the game is running, the only thing is that all that caused was the full system crash, I didn't notice any missing textures or stutters of any kind, just a complete crash but im not going to rule it out as a possibility at this point because I truly have no idea what could be causing this other then the fact that im running a 32bit OS.

yeah I adjusted those few mods that have that problem, still working on the wrye bash part of things, but that's coming, I just want to make sure im doing it right before I actually make the bashed patch. ah perfect thanks, my friend didn't show tonight so I thought id leave it for tomorrow. now the layout is a little confusing as it says both catalyst version and driver version seperetally but here goes. Catalyst Version 13.1 I hope that's the right number im looking for.

I have them yes, but they are not installed, I experienced missing textures and CTDs almost instantly after I installed those packs so I just disabled them. although I am curious as to why they appear in my boss log even though I don't have them checked to load, along with a couple other things in the boss log (ie Cloaks - Player Only is appearing in the boss log but I unchecked that in my load order, so why is it there?). I didn't notice that until you mentioned it, could that have anything to do with the problem? unchecking mods in the load order maybe isn't enough or something?

no luck im afraid, with amidianborn uninstalled I still had the same problem, the stutters, missing textures and eventual crash happened as normal., almost as if they were set to a timer. hmm, if that's the case then im completely lost as to what the problem could be, if not mod caused issues then I really don't know. as for which AMD catalyst driver am I using, that's more of the I don't know how to find that out problem, I can probably find out later on tonight as I have a friend that I talk to every night who is a wizard with computers (yet is also stumped at my problem just the same). he can direct me to finding out what my driver is. but yeah uninstalling amidianborn did not make a difference in this case im afraid.

true, this is also the first time iv ever really played a game where I heavily modded it, so a lot of stuff, despite having played the game for a few months, is still new to me. interesting, well ill start there then and uninstall amidianborn and give it a try tomorrow as im out of time tonight to give it a proper test. if that's the case that's disappointing but manageable, at least until I can upgrade my system. as for the link, im assuming that just simply buying more RAM wouldn't solve that problem but if it turns out that my system cant handle the textures then I will give that a try as well. thanks again for your help, ill let you know tomorrow how it goes.

well the less conflicts the better, still though it is a little annoying to have to use 4 programs, (NMM, BOSS, TES5EDIT, and now Wrye Bash) to be able to get this game up and running. but if that's what needs to be done then so be it. ill look into some tutorials about wrye bash later on today and see if I cant create this "bashed Patch' to fix that conflict. I do appreciate your advice on that matter, and the idea of fewer conflicts the better. ahh yes the 32bit problem, it has been an ongoing concern of mine for quite a while, although for the most part iv had no real game breaking problems (except in bf3, but It was fixable, I had to do something rather complicated to get it working, cant remember what that was though but it was a problem that only exsisted for people running windows 7 32bit). as for texture replacer mods, definetally have a few, here are the ones not showing up on boss log; aMidianBorn Textures for Immersive Armors aMidianBorn Book of Silence Aporphysis Dragon Priest Masks WiP No More Blocky Faces Dimonized UNP Mature skin texture for UNP these are the only ones I can see, my mod list is above though just in case I missed something but could that be the problem? im running too many texture mods? if so would that cause those stutters around towns as well as the missing textures problems?

wrye bash is something that I know absolutely nothing about, I don't know what it means or does so I have been generally ignoring those, what mods are doing those 'give more stuff to NPCs' thingers? the mods that say stuff like 'obsolete. update to the latest version' are just follower mods I created with the CK, they use the same name in some cases and I just kinda forgot about them. the rest of my PC specs? oh boy, umm, see im not really a techy guy so I have to look up how to find out my system specs, what is it that you want to know exactly about my system specs? I can probably find the info for you, I just need to know what to look for is all. CandyR27 - that's interesting, I didn't catch that before, I could have sworn it said it was compatible, ill have to double check that, thanks.

ok boss decided to work today, here is my load order from boss recognized plugins and here is my unrecognized plugins now I am a little confused if I have a corrupt driver file, then how come it only effects skyrim? I don't seem to have any trouble with dishounored or battlefield 3.

im having some trouble with boss at the moment, now sure whats going on but its saying that it isn't recognizing skyrim is installed, same thing with NMM. I cant post that right now but I will once the situation corrects itself. might just be my internet being weird or something, I don't know. as for my ini file, no I haven't even touched those as I don't know how to make changes to them.

This problem has been consistant and I cannot find a fix no matter what I do. what happens is that after maybe 15-20min of playing I notice textures missing on anything, npcs faces turn completely black and object textures (including weapons and armor) turn pink, and I get massive stutters around towns but not when Im running around the world or inside a hold. about an hour after that I get a CTD. I first thought it was my graphics card so I bought a gigabyte radeon hd 7950 and upgraded my power supply but that didn't solve the problem. ran boss and cleaned out my files with tes5edit and I still get the exact same problem. my system specs and my mod list/load order it took forever to type out my load order so please respond lol. so what could be causing these problems? if you see anything there that could be the answer to my issue please respond. thanks.

oookay I am just about at my wits end with this. I cleaned the files, adjusted my load order, uninstalled un-needed mods and mods with too many versions installed, bought a $400 video card, bought a $200 power supply and did a clean uninstall and reinstall of everything relating to skyrim. still I am getting missing textures where the people are pitch black in the face only and objects are pink, tons of stutters around any city or village and follow it up with a CTD. what the **** is going on??? this is beyond the point of frustrating now and has become a complete joke. what else could the problem be?

wow I really have no idea how I missed those files, haven't done that in a while. thanks for pointing that out for me, liiittle embarrassing. ah well. as far as tes5edit is concerned, gophers video really only covered how to clean master files, is it the same method for cleaning mods? because as you can see theres a couple that apparently need cleaning, UFO, winterhold ruins, the cloaks mods, and a few others.

Hello all for the record I apologize in advance as I don't really know how to hide text in this window with a SPOILER tab so this post might be a little long, im just listing what BOSS has said really. basically I ran boss and noticed that a lot of files apparently are in need of cleaning, lots of dirty edits and it also says in red with some of them that "Bash Tag Suggestion(s)" whatever that means. as you all well know I need TES5Edit to do the cleaning and I watched video on how to do just that but the video I saw only covered stuff like master files, the update.esm, dawnguard.esm, and hearthfire.esm, btu according to boss I am in need of cleaning not just those but also a few mods and I don't know if the same method to cleaning bethesdas master files is the same as cleaning mods. the video I saw was from gopher, its this video (not sure if im allowed to post that, but if im not, im really sorry about that). also too what does bash tag suggestion refer to? below is just a simple copy and paste of what boss had to say, just in case you find something else that could be a potential problem. as it is even after I run boss I still get CTDs from anywhere to an hour of game time to 20min and now that iv seen that video im convinced the cause is because of those dirty edis and other problems that im not seeing. just 2 quick questions about creating CK followers 1. how do you add the housecarl dialogue to a creation kit made follower? 2. which voices in the CK have the housecarl dialogue options? thanks

fair enough I was afraid of that, iv been putting off getting a new and better one for quite a while just because theyre expensive. I know that the failing card isn't going to go away so I may as well spend the cash and hope for the best. ill give the reinstallation a shot and see if that improves things until I get the new card as im also having trouble with other games, thanks for the advice.

I know that's usually a mod related problem, a mod conflicting with another, but iv gone through my mods list a bunch of times and I cant find anything that would be incompatible. yet im still getting ctds and also textures not loading as well. the texture problem im sure is a matter of the graphics card failing but just in case its something else I thought id mention it, I get the pink blocky stuff on some objects. but can the graphics card cause a ctd?

Im not really certain how exactly to describe this so please bare with me. have you ever seen those lantern poles in an L shape with a lantern hanging off the pole that people carry around and use as a kinda of walking stick? something like that lanterns of skyrim mod only you can carry them and the pole itself is a lot thinner, that kind of idea, that's something id like to see. im sorry I know its a little vague but im really not sure how to describe it other then that and I cant find a picture to depict it better but I do think it would look good. (why did the word vague turn into a link?)

all the other files transferred perfectly fine but not that file. it just keeps saying I "don't have permission to perform this action." its probably a simple fix but I cant seem to change it to run as administrater. I really don't know how to fix this, please help.
