  1. In the 3 years I've been playing this game, including a year of pure vanilla play before I found the Nexus, and 3 different characters, ALL highwaymen have ALWAYS re-spawned in 3 days. All of them. Even with no mods of any kind anywhere on my computer for a year. I have the original GOTY edition I bought with gamers guide for $5.00 at a second hand store. Maybe that has something to do with it. I thought they were supposed to re-spawn. Guess I have a lucky glitch somewhere. However, none of the Bravil Guards re-spawn in my game, so I've had to do as the original post here with them until I have time to fix it in the CS. All other city guards and Legion troops re-spawn, but not Bravil for some reason, and only for my newest character. In my experience, weird glitches abound in Oblivion. It would take several pages of space here to list all I have experienced since I started playing it, especially my first vanilla year. I still love it and will play and mod for it for years to come. And I appreciate the challenge of fixing them. Good Luck!
  2. In response to post #9209248. #9219103 is also a reply to the same post. I buy a month at a time for that very reason ;)
  3. Which 2.4 version of Blender are you using? There are several. I have 3 versions of Blender on my PC, all for different purposes. v2.49b for modelling and UV mapping, v2.46 for animations (2.49b doesn't export anims right) and 2.68a for when the Niftools team release their newest version soon. Each has similar but different interfaces and quirks that need to be figured out, so it's impossible to help you until we know which version you are using. (i.e. in 2.49b, after you are done modelling, mapping, rigging your mesh, you MUST "save as" to your desktop or folder of your choice the .blend file, close out of Blender, count to 30, then double Lclick the .blend file you just saved and THEN you can import your skeleton parented to your mesh and export the nif. If you don't do it that way in 2.49b, I've seen some pretty weird mutations in-game!!! :ohdear: Maybe I'm stupid, but what is ZKEC exactly? Never heard of that one.
  4. For me, except for the premium servers being about 5X slower than the regular ones still, the Oblivion Nexus is way faster and more stable than ever before!!! :D . Thanks, Dark0ne, BIG Thumbs Up.
  5. Thanks Man!!! Worked Like a charm. Really appreciate your help, saved me hours of trial and error. I use a folder of my own in the Menus/Icons folder in case someone wants do delete my mod, so it's easy for them to find. You made my day!!! Adding you to my credits list.
  6. My icons don't show up in the menu, except sometimes as color digitization. Growlf's icons do the same thing. I'm thinking it's because I'm not mapping the image correctly, and haven't been able to find a tutorial or thread that covers the correct method. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks. :wallbash:
  7. I use Colourwheels'. She made a mod that randomly assigns face gen morphs to all female npc's in the vanilla game and her other mods. Doesn't work in most other mods, but that can be added to anything using the CS. However, doing that means you have 2 .esp's for every quest mod.
  8. http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_1.html I suggest doing this before you install after following thomriis' instructions. It will save you headaches in the future and improves total system performance.
  9. Character 1- 683 Character 2- 1,300 Current Character- 228 Total= 2,211 If you count time in Blender, Gimp, Nifskope, CS, OBMM, Wrye Bash, TES4Edit, BSA Commander, etc. and the Nexus and Elder Scrolls sites, double that, at least!!! No way to figure all the time I spend testing my mods for issues in- game, but that's considerable too. I have different saves in different environments just for testing my creations, so don't have a tally for that. Yes, I'll be adding to that today. :whistling:
  10. I have a daytime black sky too. What sky replacer did you download? I haven't been able to find one yet.
  11. I used to have similar problems and found that defragging and restarting fixed it immediately every time. I started defragging every night while I sleep and haven't had this problem in months.
  12. I couldn't even get the Oblivion Nexus to load until a few minutes ago. Probably too many users at one time, Botnets, or both. It seems to be working fine now so try again.
  13. @ Nephenee13 Quote: If you want something more lacy I'd have to mash some stuff up, probably from the R18PN Lingerie set. Might take a little longer. R18PN was one of the first mods I ever downloaded, and I've used it for many clothing and armor sets in my own game. I haven't uploaded any of them because the read me says "Please do not distribute the pose again." Granted they don't speak English well, but I take that to mean we can't use those resources in mods we upload. The next line does say "Please use this MOD freely." Thus my confusion. It's an awesome set, as is the RAMY armor set and if It's OK to use as a resource that would make my day!!!
  14. I read on another forum that the author of Kvatch Rebuilt hid the mod page until they complete the MAJOR overhaul of the mod, and that it will be finished relatively soon. No word on why. Perhaps they didn't want people having to download the old one, then uninstall it to download/ Install the new version. Some authors don't like making long strings of updates to upgrade their mods and prefer to completely finish it before uploading. Woggsy is correct, .bsa is an Oblivion Archive file extension. You can unpack/ edit/ repack them with BSA Commander. I'd normally post a link here, but I haven't been able to get the Nexus to load for over an hour now. Just type BSA Commander in the Nexus Search Engine. Some people have problems with some of the eye textures/ meshes in Ren's Beauty Pack. It seems to be a file structure issue and isn't hard to fix. I just finished DBC Awakening last week, you'll love it. No issues of any kind. You have to complete the vanilla Dark Brotherhood quests before you can start it though. And if you want to read all of the dialogue (they've had a hard time finding voice actors) you'll need Elys' Universal Silent Voice and Oblivion Script Extender to run it. Midas Magic is a great mod to have. Deadly Reflex is awesome, but has many other file dependancies (Hud Status Bars, Menuque, etc.) Unoffical Obliivion Patch is only good if you have all the original DLC's Not familiar with the other 2, but thanks for posting them, I'll check them out. As for an Overhaul, it depends on what you want your game to be like. Are you a Lore Immersion Player? Do you want all females to look/ walk/ move like real women? Do you want them to wear sexy clothing/ armor? Same for males? Do you want to have to eat, drink, go potty, etc. or have consequnces if you don't? Do you want to be a vampire and have related content and improvements? I could go on for a long time, but I think you get my point, LOL  And finally, Map Mods. I don't use any personally, but there are scores of them. just pick one you like. I agree with Woggsy, start slow and learn the various programs and processes. It can seem daunting at first, but is really pretty simple. ALWAYS READ THE MOD DESCRIPTION AND README FILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are several sites that have tutorials, including Nexus and these forums. And honestly, this community is one of the most friendly, helpful ones EVER!!! If you get stuck, just post it in the mod's comments section or here and someone will help you. Feel free to PM (Personal Message) me anytime with questions/ problems. Hope this helps. Good Luck and Happy Gaming!!! I Was going through my mod storage folder last night and found some that are essential to bug free game play. "Archive Invalidation Invalidated" will save you a lot of time haveing to do it manually in OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) Not Essential, But Nice To Have- 2048 X 2048 skin texture pack: replaces the vanilla skin textures with incredibly detailed ones. And a body replacer of your choice. There are many for both Male and Female Characters and NPC's. Lig Border Removal: you can disable the borders in the Oblivion.ini file, but it doesn't always work. This mod takes care of it. You'll need this because a lot of mods locate outside the vanilla worldspace to avoid conflicts with other mods, The Chapel Shop by VictoriaG, for example. No Quest Items: without this you'll soon find your inventory full of essential quest items that causes serious lag time when you activate a container or body. This mod allows you to get rid of them. Doesn't work on mod quest items though, for that you'll need to learn the console commands or the CS. FastExit: at some point, you'll get enough mods installed that when you exit the game it CTD's instead of exiting normally. This fixes that. Otherwise you end up with a HUGE DR Watson file in Windows (mine was over 5 Gb at one point) and all that crashing isn't good for game or system stability. TES4Edit: For cleaning mods you download or create. Some mod authors don't clean their mods before uploading which can cause all kinds of problems including CTD's. ALWAYS READ THE README. A few mods read as dirty, but if you clean them they won't work right. The readme will tell you not to clean if this is the case. You'll be amazed at how many people clutter up comments and forums with issues that were addressed in the mod's readme file! If you start haveing stuttering or graphic lags there are things you can do about that too. I recommend following this guide to optimize your system and game: http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_1.html If that doesn't work, there are several mods out there that may help. Happy Gaming!!!
  15. The Dark Brotherhood Chronicles: Awakening, Reclaiming Sancre Tor, Knights of the Nine: Revelation, The Hole, Famous Battles of Cyrodiil, Midas Magic Spells of Aurum, Castlevania. I've played all of these. They are well thought out and executed. And a lot of fun!!!
  16. You're welcome, Glad I could help. FYI: Also any shirt, cuirass, bra etc. MUST have the BBB weight paints to work!!! There are many awesome clothing and armor mods that haven't been BBB painted, but there are several people working on simple mesh replacers to fix that. Happy Gaming!!!
  17. I wondered if some such was happening, been having problems with the Nexus for several days. For those who don't know, MS has a free anti-- virus/ malware program called MS Security Essentials absolutely FREE of charge. It has real- time protection as well as live scan that can be scheduled as often as you like. There's no reason to not be protected.
  18. I agree, Files load very quickly in Nifskope. You can peruse scores of files in a few minutes. And the ID number will help find it in the CS and TES4edit.
  19. Sounds like an interesting Mod. I've been using Login To Download's LTDVampire Overhaul and really like it, except he never got around to adding the bite animations. So, I've been playing around with doing it myself and then making an esp to add them in. I also already made my own vampire weapons from the Apachii Goddess Store that heal my character while significantly depleting my opponent (easy drain health enchantment), But yours sound even better. Tricky part about the bite is animating the face and jaw, the body anims are simple to do. Let me think about it and I'll get back to you soon. HondaTrip P.S. one thing I like about LTD is the hypnosis and being able to have cattle pre- positioned around almost every city.
  20. Hello, Your filepath should be "C:/ Program Files(x86)/ Steam/ SteamApps/ common/ Oblivion/ Data/ Meshes/Characters/Male" for your skeleton.nif. I'm not familiar with Growlf's skeleton if it has the 3 bones L & R for the bbb animation. I use Coronerra's Maximum Compatability Skeleton (he reverse- engineered the process from the chinese in the first place, and improved and perfected it  ). The femaleupperbody.nif you use must be weight painted correctly as well (and goes in the same folder as the skeleton). I weight painted my own, so don't remember which ones are, that are out there to download. It's easy to check in Nifscope or Blender. The nodes are named Bip01 Op1.L, Bip01 Op1.R, Bip01 Op2.L, Bip01 Op2.R, Bip01 Op3.L, Bip01 Op3.R. Some femaleuppers don't have the Op3's, but they're only for the nipples anyway and are not necessary unless you have a mod that manipulates them (like sexdarkness). Hope this helps you. If you have more questions, feel free to ask or PM me, it's always an honor to help the community. HondaTrip
  21. Quote: "While I’m no expert in the field let me provide some advice: if seeing a penis mod throws you into a fit of quizzical fury you might need to explore your own sexuality a bit further. Don’t repress it, explore it. You’ll save yourself lots of therapy payments in the future." To paraphrase Ben Franklin: "If it doesn't break my arm or pick my pocket", what's the big deal? If people don't like certain content, use the blocker. I know it was enabled by default when I joined the Nexus. I love it when people complain about their own laziness. Excellent post, humor is always a good thing :)
  22. Thanks Dark0ne, I've wanted to go premium for a long time, but are one of those who refuse to do business with PayPal or any other business with a political agenda. I'll buy premium as soon as I finish writing this. Again, thanks and keep up the great work. :)
