  1. I can see how the keyword method could definitely help with creating an actual MCM, but I kinda agree with Elty... It's a better solution than not having any sort of situation but god can I not wait for an MCM.
  2. I'm trying to make a mod that swaps genders by swapping all of the gender-specific items. Males get female stuff, females get male stuff, everyone's happy. Issue being, I'm trying to swap which gender gets which gender-specific armor, to theoretically make it as friendly with custom armor mods as possible. Issue being the DLC armor addons. They're not in the textures*.bsa that the base-game ones are in so they have me at a bit of a loss.
  3. Which is... probably a bit better than the explosions to be fair but hn...
  4. They are. There's several mods that add them for stock Skyrim. And you can't remove the explosion because the explosion is what gives them their anti-undead damage boost, since there's no way to directly apply an enchantment to arrows even in the CK or scripts. What I'm trying to do is apply a script instead to the bows or possibly player that will apply the perk that gives that damage when you have the right kind of arrow or weapon type equipped.
  5. Could I get a copy of that script? And permission to use a modified version (I only need to check for one type of arrow) in my mod?
  6. Alright, so I'm kinda terrible at scripting, always have been and have tried to learn it in multiple languages multiple times. My brain just doesn't want to absorb that information for anything. I get some of the concepts but for actually putting it down so it functions correctly... that's beyond me. And that's where I need someone's help. I need a conditional script that checks the type of arrow you have loaded and if it's a specific one, applies an enchantment/perk. It's for silver arrows, so I can do away with the silly explosion that makes them act wonky in comparison to normal arrows.
  7. how... how... just... how is that a thing that causes so many crashes?
  8. Joy. /sarcasm In all honesty I kinda figured, it *is* a Bethesda software afterall.
  9. Is there *any* way to make the CK less crashy? I was trying to fix something I'd realized I'd forgotten in a custom race, changing the presets to actually point at the race and not the one I cloned them from, and hitting t twice in the dropdown for race crashed it, so I tried again, another insta-crash. I was infinitely happy I'd just gotten done testing something (so had saved extremely recently) but still... Is there something I can do to make it crash less?
  10. If you haven't found out, you click on the part (in this case mouth) in the additional headparts, click on the part above that corresponds (in this case face) and then hit the delete key.
  11. Could I get a link to a tutorial for doing that or?
  12. Looking to incorporate silver arrows into a mod for Skyrim and SE, need at least textures, can use the steelarrow.nif if necessary. Anyone who has textures or a new .nif and textures and is willing to let me use it for a crafting mod I'd appreciate it greatly.

  14. Trying to make an addon for a mod I have that modifies the smelter's recipes that another mod gives me but I can't seem to get the form ids to match so the addon that's supposed to replace some of the recipes just adds new ones. Can't figure out why it's being so difficult. I pull up the mod I'm making the addon for as a resource for the addon mod, edit the required pieces, which in CK have the same form IDs as the old ones, but in SSEEdit they don't and the addon isn't overwriting anything. Edit: Nevermind. While I'd still like to know if it's possible to actively go into and edit the form IDs, I no longer *need* to for the above reasons.
  15. Something that is endlessly annoying to me is that for some reason, the pc is incapable of jumping while casting magic (or holding an arrow in the ready to fire position, but that's slightly more understandable). You can't prep a fireball, heal, etc and jump over a small ledge if you're trying to stay away from someone and it's just annoying. I mean, it's annoying enough when I'm using novice magic and have to stop casting for half a second so I can jump over the damn ledge but when I have to deliberately stop myself from casting firebolt so I can jump and then resume casting it that takes a lot more time and is way more annoying.
