  1. And it would be cool if the mod had a version for the Fallout 4-NV mod
  2. Well, I still wanna see a more developed history of how to keep a good relationship with the NCR after claiming independency
  3. Greetings. I'm sorry for all the absence. I had been a little busy since the pandemy. I wanna know if the project keeps running.
  4. Sorry, could you rephrase that, I'm not quite following. Yes, I'm looking for plot lines or just small story tidbits to liven things up that feature her. I think there might be something interesting in the fact that she's a physician and a "self taught" robotics expert (or maybe AI expert would be more accurate, I'm not sure). Maybe something to do with cybernetics. That field of study could benefit from those two areas of expertise. Although it may be a bad choice since it could lead to macabre implications, akin to robobrains. I'm not sure, I haven't quite found an angle yet, but it seems like this is a very unique and under explored npc, and there should be potential for something interesting to come from her life story. well, she could be in a quest involving trying to decipher the secrets she wanted to aqquire from Mr House in the vainilla quest
  5. Well Emily could be a central character in the main quest mod. In fact, she could be recruited to make manutention to Yes Man and that could lead to some quests (the hacking securitrons quests or sort of)
  6. Sorry, I am not programmer, i am comic artist, so i can help with argumental ideas. I have been thinking in the main NCR quest
  7. I had an idea for a diplomacy system to define the NCR relationship and the NCR quest that will be triggered. First, the name ideas I had were as follows: anti NCR: Bear with Us pro NCR: The Western Alliance Now, regarding the system, I was thinking on a numeric system based in your decitions before the ending: It will take a base number regarding your reputation with the NCR. From Neutral (0) to Idolized (50). If you were less than neutral, it will begin the wuest Bear with us.If you killed all the Fiends leaders: +5If you failed to kill some of the Fiends leaders: -5If you failed to kill all the Fiends leaders: -10If you completed Cass quest in the peaceful way: +5If you killed all the great Kahns before the ending, or refused to include Papa Kahn in the council: +5If you accepted Papa Kahn in the council: -5If you convinced the Kahns to break their alliance with Caesar: +5If you refused Marcus in the council: +5If you accepted Marcus in the council: -5If you completed G.I. Blues in the peaceful way: +5If you helped the Misfits with the good person or the training option: +5If you helped the Misfits with the altered records or the jet option: -5If you completed Boone quest: +5If you killed Eddie: +5If you completed ¿Why cannot be friends? in Cooke's favor: -5If somehow Chief Hanlon died: -100 (This trigger the Bear with Us quest)If you helped Chief Hanlon with the misinformation plan: +5If you convinced Chief Hanlon to stop with the misinformation plan: +10If you killed Caesar: +10If you spared Legate Lanius: -5If you killed Legate Lanius: +5 (but you will lose some of the coolest quests)If you assisted Bitter Springs: +5If you assisted Forlorn Hope: +5After all this, the results are as follows 0 - 49: Triggers the Bear with Us quest50 - 74: Begins the Tense Relationships quest: three missions to raise the relationship system to 76, depending on your way of resolving them: One for some Caesar survivors, one for the Kahns and one for the supermutants. The options are violent: +10 or diplomatic (convince the NCR contact) +5. Failing one of them or being unable to reach the 75 objective will trigger the Bear with Us quest75 - 100: Begins the quest Western AllianceIf the relationship System was more than 50, you will be contacted by Chief (Senator) Hanlon if you helped him with the misinformation plan, or Senator Allice McAllister otherwise
  8. Sorry, working so I haven't had a chance to review your last couple of posts in detail, but I wanted to address the radiant subject. I don't think we have Radiant mechanics in FONV, I think they are started in Skyrim. Plus I really don't think you would want them, as they can be tedious, since they are so repetitive. I wouldn't think it would make sense for this kind of a quest. Okay, I understand. Then it may not be a radiant quest, but a quest line for every faction
  9. Now, regarding the following council reunions, as I said before, those can be called by Yes Man when you ask him for it. Those reunion quests will be radiant, will be important to contribute to the NV management and will work the following way: From the moment the council is called, you have two days to attend the reunion. If you fail to attend after those days, the quest will fail and some random aspects of NV will decrease. This may also cause some leaders to abandon the council. When you attend the reunion in the Lucky 38, the leaders will make some general reports that may lead to some radiant quests.Marcus will report about trade routes. This will make you manage trade routes between towns and may lead to quests regarding raiders or relationships between caravans and towns.Julie will report about the status of the Followers and health conditions in the Mojave. This will make you manage the health conditions and may lead to radiant quests to build some Followers camps and some recruitment quests as well as refugee quests. The King will report about Freeside security (and the Strip security if you got to convince Marjorie and Swank) This will make you manage Freeside and Strip conditions and may lead you to raider, thugs or inner relationships quests. At this point you can ask the income from Marjorie if you allowed her to keep their independence (you can also manage the income value. If you raise it, obviously you get more caps, if you reduce it, you get privileges from the White Glove Society, but if you reduce it too much, you will gain infamy from Freeside and may cause The King to abandon the council). Or you can ask her to report the status about the feeding in the Mojave and she may request you to obtain some ingredients (this will make you manage the status of the farms in the Mojave and may lead to quests about killing creatures to get their meat or get plants).Swank will report about the economic aspect of the Strip and will give you the income from the casinos. This may lead to quests regarding merchants who neglected to pay their incomes or who have requests for you.Papa Khan will report about the security in the western and southern frontiers as well as the chem traffic. This may lead to quests regarding Caesar's Legion skirmishes or some NCR (invaders or diplomatic) quests, or raiders or trafficants quests as well as to get materials to make chems.Pearl will report about security in the eastern and northern frontiers as well as troop status. This will make you manage the troops and may lead to quests regarding Caesar's Legion skirmishes or some NCR (invaders or diplomatic) quests, or raiders quests, as well as quests to get some materials to make weapons. At this point Yes Man will report the results of the reunion and will dismiss the leaders.
  10. I forgot to tell: some quests must be triggered via the council reunion, other must be advanced the same way
  11. Before keeping with the Council of Leaders quest i must say: to obtain the quest you must talk to Yes Man and choose a dialogue option like this: To govern New Vegas I will need some help Now, to keep with the quest: Reunite with the leaders in your casino Negotiate the terms of the council This may be the most complex part of the quest, so I will explain it in another item. Quest finished well the quest may be marked as finished, but it will begin another unmarked quest to keep the leaders in the council. Now, regarding the negotiation, this is my idea on how it could advance (asuming that all the optionals were convinced, but the optionals can be omited): The king will be in good terms with Julie, neutral terms with Papa Khan and Pearl, reserved with Marcus and in bad terms with Marjorie, Canchino and SwankJulie will try to keep an open mind and good relationships between the other leaders (except Canchino)Papa Khan will be in good terms with Julie, neutral terms with the others, but bad terms with all of the stripMarcus will be neutral with all of the others, but after some explanation will be in bad terms with CanchinoPearl will be in neutral terms with all the other leaders, but will be reserved with Marcus and in bad terms with CanchinoMarjorie will show an open distaste for the other leaders, but will be even more distasteful to Canchino and Marcus.Swank will try to keep a neutral term on all the others (except Canchino)All the other leaders will demand that Chanchino is removed from the council. You can accept (This will trigger Canchino's betrayal), refuse (this will remove all the other faction members from the council, failing the following quest) or try to convince them (If this option is chosen, you will gain infamy with the other factions, every council reunion will repeat the same situation, the dificulty check will raise exponentially until all the leaders abandoned the council, this will trigger Canchino's betrayal)Marjorie will demmand the removal of Marcus. You can accept, or try to convince her (if you humbled her before, the speech check will be easier). Otherwise, she will abandon the councilMarcus will state his wish for an open mind to the relationships between humans and supermutants, and will speak about the problems they had with the NCR in the past. Papa Khan will approve, The King will be convinced by Julie, Marjorie will remain silent, Pearl and Swank must be convinced by you.Julie will ask help from the other factions to expand their operations and obtain more resources and men. The King, Papa Khan and Marcus will offer support (you can ask support from Marjorie and Swank later)The King will propose a comercial relationship between Freeside, Strip and the rest of the Mojave. Papa Khan and Marcus will accept. Marjorie and Swank must be convinced by you.At this point, everyone will ask for the role of the Boomers in NV. You must choose a primary role and will have three options: they can support the Followers (this will raise the health conditions in NV), keep an aerial vigilance (this will raise security in NV), or make mainteance labor (this will raise infraestructure conditions in NV). You can change this primary role every reunionMarjorie will ask for some independence and less interaction between the White Glove and the outside (to keep their exclusive status). You can accept and stablish some income terms with them (if you get too gredy the will abandon the council), or convince her to be more cooperative if you humbled her, this will raise the health conditions in the MojaveSwank will state his concern about the security of NV. At this point you can begin to stablish the military force of NV: first, by asking the other factions to spare some of their men to the military force (Except the kings, who you can ask to assist in the security of the Strip, but you must convince Marjorie and Swank to accept). Depending on your decitions during this stage is the shape will have your army, their strenghts and weakneses. At least, Papa Khan will ask for the relationships with the other territories, specially the NCR. This will reflect in the NV diplomacy. If you want to stablish an alliance with the NCR, you must pass a speech check with Papa Khan or he will abandon the council and you will gain Khans infamy. The reunion will conclude and Yes Man will report the resultsAfter this first reunion, you can ask Yes Man to call for another reunion whenever you want, but this option will have a cooldown of a week. Sometimes a member of the council can call you for a radiant quest that will reflect in their permanence in the council, and sometimes they can call for a reunion to resolve a grave problem
  12. well, I got a first idea: Main Quest: Form a leaders council Convince The King to join the council: This can be done either by being a member of the kings, being idolized by Freeside or pasing a spech check (Each option unlocks a dialogue choice). This may be the easier part of the quest. Convince Julie Farkas to join the council: This can be done either by helping the FoA attend some patients in very critical condition or convincing some settlers of the Mojave to join the FoA (This last option can remain open to help strenghten the FoA and gain fame with them, and unlock some quests later). Convince Marcus to join the council: He wants to open comercial relationships between Jacobstown and the rest of the Mojave. This can be done either by convincing some city merchants to buy from the supermutants or, if the quest to reopen Cassidy Caravans is already open, by convincing Cassidy to employ supermutants. Convince Papa Khan to join the council: Papa Khan asks you to kill some prominent NCR citizens who are still in NV (This will gain you NCR infamy and will make unable the later alliance with the NCR), but with a hard speech check, you can convince him to leave old hates behind and focus in the future of his people (This speech becomes easier if you are idolized by the Khans) Convince Pearl to join the council: She wants the boomers to be able to make and fly vetbirds, so she asks you to get the Vetbird schematics. You can get them either by convincing some NCR militars to give them to you or from the BoS in some ways: By hacking the Hidden Valley computers (This will make the BoS hostile if you are discovered), by blackmailing the elder, whoever he is, or by convincing the elder if is McNamarra by an almost impossible speech check (this later can be a easier speech check if you found out about the chain that binds). No matter how you obtained the schematics, when you give them to Pearl you will gain some BoS infamy (but will gain Boomers fame) (Optional) convince Marjorie to join the council: This is optional as there are many factors that can make them unable to join (whether if they returned to cannibalism, where whiped out, and whether you cannot stand their arrogant behavior), also their dominion is limited to the Strip, so you can ignore them, but to let them in can give you some features. To do this, you can humple them by a very hard speech check, or convince them to extend their name to the mojave by an easier speech chech (each option has its perks) (Optional) Convince Canchino to join the council This is also optional, because persobnally i cannot stand that bastard (And I doubt any of the other members could stand him) and also because if Canchino was killed in the How little we know quest, one of the first topics the council will have is to determine the destiny of the Omertas casino. Either way, this is an easy part of the quest and should Canchino be alive and be denied a place in the council, he later will betray you, unlocking a side quest. (Optional) Convince Swank to join the council Swank may be resentful of you for betraying Mr House, so you must become in clear terms with him. This can be done either by passing a spech check or an intimidate check. Letting him in with the speech check will unlock some perks, leaving him out will make him betray you and begin a side quest, intimidate him will unlock half of the perks and make him betray you later.I will keep stagin this quest in another post, as I must go (and it's becoming too long)
  13. well, I'd like to see a changelog or a general description for the current definition of the mod
  14. Yep definitely continued combat/interaction with the legion. Initially offensive maneuvers to clean up remaining legion resistance in the Mojave, it later switches somewhat to limited mostly defensive/reactive actions in the Mojave theater of operations. I don't have intentions of working on a extended campaighn to battle legion in thier home turf. I think mad mongo was (maybe already has) working on a mod to do some legion A** kicking in flagstaff. Here is an example that is posted earlier in the thread. The legion are surprisingly good at low tech solutions to high tech problems. The securitrons communicate real time data via a wireless network. Shortly after the post game battle and the securitrons become active the Legion will send an elite force to Black Mountain. They will occupy and fortify it. As soon as basic defensive measure are taken they will being converting the black mountain pre war monitoring station to jam the securitons network, essentially blinding/blocking out more than a quarter of the map in the southeast. The player will have to go in and roust them from their fortified positions. This is a tactical encounter, a chance for the player to get his/her hands dirty, not a strategic encounter handled by the securitrons, although the player can have seciritron forces (and/or companions) along for support and added firepower. What is the posibility of this mod interacting with the mod that aims to take the battle to the legion territory?
  15. Great ideas, but very barebones. How about throwing some more detail behind them, I'd like to hear what you have in mind. 1. Boones's quest could be tied to a treaty with the NCR for starters: He doesn't agree at all with the courier decision to reject an NCR rule. Still he keeps being loyal. Besides, he needs to assist in the reconstruction of Novac. He also could be involved in the Graham's barbaric invasion quest, and could give some radiant quests to kill legion remanents and some NCR missions 2. Cass wants to reform her caravan (or maybe work as a mojave courier) but her main plot is that he may be resented with the courier for rejecting the NCR rule, and is up to the courier if he is able to convince her that they don't need to accept the NCR rule. Her quest could be tied to the main quest of the mod. She could also give radiant quests to keep good relationships between the NV and the NCR 3. Lily's quest could be dependant of she taking her pills. Should she forget about her granchildren, she is looking for a new identity. All could begin with some radiant quests to send some supermutants to Jacobstown, later, there are some humans (possibly from the NCR) threatening the town and Lily must aid the courier in the investigation. And later (maybe) the courier can help Lily regain some of the memories from her grandchildren (maybe investigate what happenes with them) 4. Arcade doesn't know what to do in the independant NV. Things are mor or less easy in Freeside, but in the mojave territory things are very tense and there are too much people in need of aid. (there may be another series of radiant quests to help people in need). There is also the need of an intermediary between the Followers and the Khans (who are still threatened by some corrupt oficials from the NCR) 5. Raul's quest could be more a series of radiant quests, depending of whatever life he chosen. Bountys quests for his gunner life, Thecnology like quests for his technician life, and some in between the two. He may end conflicting with the BoS 6. As Veronica doesn't know what to do with her life, The courier could guide her thourgh a way to join the Followers. She could take part in arcade's radiant quests. But the main thing is that there are still so much resentment between the Followers and the BoS, ant there are still some members of the NCR wanting to wipe out the BoS at all
  16. I also think that the vainilla followers should take an active role in this post game 1. Boone's quest for definitive redemption (maybe saving some NCR soldiers) 2. A quest to teach Cass another vision of things (she es a very decent person, but is too pro NCR) 3. Lily's new role in the relationships with Jacobstown 4. Arcade's interaction with the independant NV 5. Raul's new life as a vigilant or as a technician 6. A new path for Veronica (maybe as a formal follower of the apocalypse) 7. More information for ED.E (maybe a new role as a messenger for the securitrons) 8. Rex's new memories could come back for him Also, I wanna know if there's a chance to implement the Real Time Settler mod in this.
  17. I have another idea: what about forming a lreaders council for the independant NV? The leaders could be: The King, Marcus, Julie, Papa Khan and Pearl. And the courier, obviously
  18. I have another idea: what about forming a lreaders council for the independant NV? The leaders could be: The King, Marcus, Julie, Papa Khan and Pearl. And the courier, obviously

  20. Well I think we want to be true to honest hearts story and a big part of that is Joshua's personal tale (of redemption?). He's "evolved" and is radically different from his former life of Malpais Legate. A quote from the wiki "Abandoned by Caesar and his people, the fallen Legate was forced to reflect on his life and face the monster that he became." At one time his brutality was legendary, but in honest hearts we see him transformed, striving to protect the innocents of Zion. I don't think Joshua will ever return to the legion as Caesar, or in any other capacity.....I think he would die first. In addition there is generations of bad blood between the NCR and Legion, fathers and sons that spilt blood and lost loved ones in a conflict that has lasted 20 or 30 years. And this isn't a war of honor, the legion has used the most grievous or horrendous tactics to break the NCR's spirit, so I don't think many NCR citizens are willing to let bygones be bygones. I suspect the only way the NCR and the Legion would ever ally is if there was a threat so great that the human race hung in the balance.....and then only for the duration of the threat. If you have them alley you loose a big part of what makes the Mojave's game lore, and thus the richness of the fallout world, IMHO. And considering the fanatical devotion of the legion to it's ideals, I think a reformed legion would be a very difficult sell....especially to have it evolve and still resemble something similar to what it is currently. yep, that's understandable, thwn I wanna tell it in other way: A quest to aid Joshua Graham in a "barbaric invasion", formed by former slaves of the legion and its victims in order to overtrow the legion once for all, and maybe this new faction could be called something related to Constantinopla
  21. Yep, just started modding again. I could use some help though. Even if you don't have direct modding skills you could help me with ideas, as a sounding board and with playtesting, if your available. well, i am a comic artist, so my ideas could be argumental. In fact, I was thinking about a quest to make Joshua Graham the new Caesar (maybe during or after "deposing" the actual Caesar, and later, after the vainilla ending, a quest to form an alliance between NV, the NCR and a reformed Caesar legion
  22. sorry for the necro and the bad english I personally prefer the independent new vegas. NCR has good intenions (generally) and is a good option in the short term, but they care more about expanding their territory than governing it, and that makes them a bad option in the long term (leaving aside their corruption and their lack of empathy for non NCR) and that is proved by the facts that the fiends became such a pain in their a%$&/es, their inhability to keep an stable security in their own trade routes, and their inhability to keep an stable moral in their own army in SOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY of their camps. Now, should the courier gain a good reputation with the NCR army (idolized, for example) and show a good will with the NCR army, and later tell them that he/she is not willing to accept NCR rule in NV, well, that could send them a hard message. Regarding the threat of an NCR invasion, I will say this: should the courier have a high INT and CHA, he could convince the NCR politicians that is more convenient to them to have him as an ally than as an enemy. Remind them that he was the one that supported the NCR army and the NCR rangers when their own government left them helpless, remind them that was thaks to him/her that the legion was wiped out, and speaking of the legion, the courier could remind them that their defeat at Hoover Dam and the death of their leaders doesn't meanns that they are finished, in fact, they can become even more dangerous due to desesperation (should the courier take the intimidating option, he could tell the politicians that their NV army owes so much to him/her, and for that reason, a forceful takeover could backfire in them). For those reasons, the courier could negociate a militar and comercial alliance between an independent NV and the NCR (In fact, that could be the BEST option in my personal opinion)
  23. Greetings. I don't know if there's still the project. I am comic artist, so I may add some ideas for quests. And I'd like to put Janus Hassildor as a member of the order. At the risk of being tried for thread necromancy; Yes the project is still active, thou lately its been in a sleeper state. Once I graduated college in '15 I've been busy in the real world. If you got some ideas, I'd love to hear them, either post them here or feel free to dm me. Count Hassildor could be a backer of the rebuilt Order, assuming he survived the Great War and is still count of Skingrad, seems like something he might do as a natural evolution of his anti-vamp vigilance. Artist? Could you draw up some symbols and sigils that could be used in textures and the like? DM me for the details. sorry for the laaaaaaaaate response. This is some of my work: https://www.deviantart.com/kintairon What do you thing about some background where Hassildor knows about Count Harkon (I doubt he knew him, Hassildor is toooooooooooooooooo younger, but he may know about him and his family) I had another idea named the Duskward: an order of vampire hunters formed by vampires, werewolves and daedra cultists. This may be even a sub-order of the virtuous blood, or a consecuence of the virtuous blood moving to skyrim
