  1. Hi! I've given both mods a peek, and it sounds like your Seasonal Anime Portraits mod and Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic mod are both trying to overwrite the same portraits. When they run together, only the last one to load actually affects that folder. Try going into your Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic mod folder and deleting the portraits folder so that only the sprites load. It shouldn't conflict with your other mod after that! Good luck, hope this helps!
  2. This happened to me today. After switching from Fallout 4 to Skyrim Special Edition, all of my mods duplicated into two versions, a Disabled and an Uninstalled copy with slightly different names, I'm assuming the ones that said Uninstalled had the Nexus name vs. the ones that were just Disabled a file name? Since I deploy manually, my list of plugins was still all enabled, but deploying again would remove that. Either way, it severed the connection between the Disabled copies I have and the Nexus site, so while they still work, I don't have the version numbers anymore and can't access the mod pages by clicking on them. I didn't check to see whether I could get to the mod pages from the Uninstalled copies. I also didn't try the Archive Binding fix. After deleting the Uninstalled ones and re-enabling the Disabled ones, Skyrim seems to be working fine. I didn't get a pop-up saying that I was missing any mods when I loaded a game. I didn't use profiles before, but I certainly will now if people say that it will help. It took at least half an hour to get everything back to normal. On another note, ages ago I did transfer from NMM to Vortex. Almost all of the mod versions I have now were downloaded while I've had Vortex, but the way these files are working reminds me of how the ones that I imported from NMM were working; non-existing or incorrect version numbers, and not linked to their mod pages on the website. If it happens again I'll be sure to grab the log files.
  3. This isn't exactly an orphanage mod, but have you considered Dragon's Keep? It's a boarding school mod. There are limits to how many kids you can send there, 6 male and 6 female? It's a big pretty castle with lots of nifty features and you can definitely tell that the kids are well taken care of there. There's not really any way to sponsor or interact with the school yet other than sending kids there and living there, but it sounds a little bit like what you're looking for. I agree though, a mod where you could sponsor/grow/run an orphanage would be awesome.
  4. I think this happened to me a few months ago, at least with the armor workbench. My issue was that installing Concealed Armors overwrote something from Armor and Weapons Keywords Community Resource (AWKCR) that it shouldn't have. Try redownloading those two mods, installing AWKCR first, then not letting Concealed Armors overwrite it. That's the limit of my knowledge. Good luck, I hope you get it all figured out!
  5. Thank you both for your help! I'll keep an eye out for the patch, just in case one appears. In the meantime, I'll probably switch back to episode 3, though it would be great if I could somehow carry over those cute new clothes and armors from episode 4. I don't really have much time to mess with things today, but I'll update this with results later. Thanks again! Edit: Adopt Aventus Aretino mod Update: Looking back at the author's logs for the TKAA mod, it looks like the Multiple Adoptions patch was added. It's just not in the list of files. I've messaged both triptherift and the staff member who hosts The Care Taker, so we'll see if anything happens with that. I'll update if things change. Update: The author added the patch, but unfortunately it's still not working right. The patch admitted in its description that it might not work. I ended up just going back to Episode 3 without the patch, and that works just fine. Someone else has posted about this to the Multiple Adoptions page, so we'll see if the author for that makes a patch. RESOLUTION: It's been ages since I posted this, but for anyone that is still wondering, the bug where your kids stalk you is apparently a normal bug for Hearthfire. Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions has this solution in its FAQ, which I used on each kid immediately after their greeting dialogue: Q: Help!?!? My child is stalking me! A: You've run into a Hearthfire bug involving custom and/or mod added dogs/pets. Easy to fix: - Open the console - Click the kid - Enter the following 3 commands: setav variable06 0 setav variable07 0 evp Additionally, don't speak to Lucia at all before adopting her, and be sure to greet each kiddo at home before you go adopt the next one. Good luck!
  6. RESOLVED! See last post by me! I have a few different mods that affect kids: -Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions -The Kids Are Alright: Episode 4 Director's Cut -Dragons Keep -Improved Adoptions Today, I finally got around to adopting my kids for my main account. I started with Sissel, who was hanging out in Honorhall, and her adoption went perfectly. TKAA Episode 4 recommends adopting a kid and then greeting them at home before you get any more, so I did. Everything worked well, she had all of the dialogue, perfect child. The others didn't go so well. Much earlier in the playthrough, I'd sent the vanilla street orphans to Dragon's Keep. Now, I sent them all away from Dragon's Keep and back home, which is supposed to make them adoptable again. I went to go try to adopt Lucia, and got no adoption dialogue for her, no matter what I clicked. Okay. I went to Sofie instead, and she let me adopt her and made her way to our home. Except, once she arrived, she didn't do her greeting dialogue. Instead she followed me around incessantly repeating something like "I can't believe I have a home now, a family." If I activated her, I didn't get any of her options, just that same phrase. I reloaded the save file and tried with Aventus Aretino instead, since I have a mod that lets me adopt him. He'd also just spent many moons in Dragons Keep. He did the same thing that Sofie did, following me around and repeating the same dialogue. I deactivated Improved Adoptions just in case that was causing the issues, and the same thing happened. Any ideas on what could be happening? I'd really love to be able to adopt all six of my planned kiddos, not just Sissel. Is this a Dragons Keep thing? I'd have posted this on TKAA's mod page since that's the most recently updated mod on my list, but there isn't an area for posts. Lucia is the only one of the street orphans who won't give me any adoption dialogue at all. I've adopted kids just fine with other characters, but those kids were before I installed Improved Adoptions and none of them had been sent to Dragons Keep before. Sorry, I know this is really complicated. Any help would be very much appreciated!
  7. I found this thread on a different site, and it helped me a ton with putting KS hair on my own follower character. I don't know much about the site where the thread is hosted, but the steps are sound, and it looks SFW. Make sure you read both the first and second posts. The second one talks about adding the hairline part and is important. https://skyrimromance.com/forums/topic/changing-bishops-hair-using-ks-hairdos/ For me, it wasn't a perfect fix. I got an error that the hair exceeded the unit bounds at step 15, so there are a few see-through streaks and the hair as a whole is faintly transparent. Still, it's on my character with no black face bug, so it's enough for me. Maybe someone can figure out how to make it not quite so see-through? Please let me know if this post is breaking any of the nexus forum rules so that I can fix it. I've never posted here before. Happy modding!
