  1. Im having the same problem w/ mods from Nexus. I DL two mods so far and non of them are showing up. I also don't get what NMM stands for and how did you get your mods to work? If anyone else can answer pls feel free. Im not that good at modding!!! You need to explain exactly what you are doing in order to try and get your mods to run. We can help you from there. Alternatively, there are numerous threads on these forums explaining how to get mods to work. You could try searching for them.
  2. It means find your Skyrimini.txt This ini may have a section called [MapMenu] If it does then just change the values to correspond to what the mod says. If your ini doesn't have this section then just add it to the bottom of the ini. For example
  3. Well you need to be a bit more specific as to what the mod is that you are using. Which one exactly? Also, did you extract the file from the zip/rar? If the mod had a structure such as Data/meshes/blahblah/somethingelse then you would copy and paste that to the Skyrim root folder. If the mod had a structure such as meshes/blahblah/somethingelse then that gets copied and pasted into the Skyrim/Data folder.
  4. Might be best to post in the Spoilers section?
  5. You could either post it in the respective Val's Crafting Meltdown mod thread or see if there is a read me that lists the modder's email.
  6. Please forgive me if this has been mentioned. I just haven't got time to read through 31 pages. Realistic swimming would be cool. Armour needs to be taken off and maybe a carry weight/stamina ratio in regards to being able to carry things while swimming?
  7. Which mod exactly were you trying to get to work?
  8. MShoap13 has posted a link to the fix.
  9. So instead of maybe providing a link and actually, I don't know, trying to help, you condemn people with a problem to wade through a pool of search results and take way longer than it should? Way to be a fine upstanding citizen. So it's up to me to do the work for the OP? Mate, I don't think so. And if you want to do some searching you'll actually find that I do in fact help people with their problems on this forum. In this case though it's better for the OP to find the solution themselves. I also note that you didn't provide any links but just decided to post to make yourself feel smug.
  10. No. Go back and re read. It is an update to his mod not an official patch.
  11. I don't need a choice to know what type of person you are, that's for sure! OP. That was a very funny, tongue in cheek piece of writing. Well done.
  12. Was there supposed to be a link?
  13. Please use the search function of this site. There are a ton of threads like this one that should be able to help.
  14. I can only suggest seeing which active effects you have on your character. I would think they do stack. It would be great to have a total or percentage in the UI somewhere rather than a huge list of all spells and items that are active.
  15. You need to disenchant something to learn how it's done.
  16. I have to say I was bored after about day 3. I felt that I levelled far too quickly after hardly having done anything in the world. I dislike the monster and loot levelling system intensely although it is better than vanilla Oblivion. I understand we are in the barren wastes but surely there could have been a much wider variety of animals to come across. Most of it is minor quibbling but I just don't feel connected in any way with my character. I agree with other posters though. Things will definitely change for the better once the modders really get their teeth stuck into this game.
  17. I don't use archiveinvalidation and have never ticked Load Loose Files Everything I have added to my game has worked. All have been loaded as per the specific mod instructions. As long as you have put things into the correct folders you should be good to go. In saying that there are certainly people that can't get things to work and for the life of me I don't know why. BTW, I would add one mod at a time. Try for something that is easily noticeable like the better night skies mod and see if things are working.
  18. As I said in another thread from a few hours ago. There is a Translate_ENGLISH.txt file missing from your interfaces folder.
  19. Hi there. There are already a couple of threads on this. Just for future reference you might get the answers you need a lot quicker by using the SEARCH function. Anyway here is the fix... In Steam, under Library, Right-Click on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, choose ''Properties'', in Properties menu, go under ''Local Files'' tab, in this tab, choose ''Verify integrity of game cache...'' It'll add the missing files to your game and you should be good to go :)
  20. There will always be things "out there" that will kill you. A companion is a nice distraction for any enemies while you concentrate on staying alive. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone with you as you set about discovering Skyrim.
  21. No. The Installation Directory is not an actual directory called that. The reply was a generic one as different users might have different file paths. If you installed Skyrim to your C drive (installation directory) then the path might be something like C:\Program Files\Skyrim\SteamApps\common\skyrim The data file would then be inside the skyrim folder
  22. EDIT: found what I was looking for.
  23. Yes, you can just overwrite the data folder although that is just the same as manually putting the texture folder inside the Data folder.
  24. I don't believe there is the ability yet to change the 1st person height. Hopefully it can be done once the creation kit comes out.
  25. I found them camped outside of Dawnstar. Must be a caravan.
