  1. I found the problem. It seemed to have been a bad texture file. It's weird how one texture file can throw the whole creation kit off.
  2. How do you know if it's too many animations? And how do I get rid of them? Mine just started crashing upon loading interior cells.
  3. Thank you! Xx I try, I have so many ideas that I want to put into fallout 4 so I am learning my way around the CK and can hopefully share my work here on the nexus once I finish it. The precombined stuff I need to figure out now lol! Thanks so much for your input, it is much appreciated.
  4. So no matter what I do, I break precombines. Because I disabled all the vanilla stuff, added a new layer and added my stuff. How do I regenrate the precombines? Apologies if it sounds stupid but I am a greenhand xD Is it fine if I just disable them and edit my layer on top? I tested it and it works fine on my end. Since I have a beast PC it's difficult to see about the optimization part.
  5. When I disabled all of the objects, do I just hide them when I edit the cell? Because if I nudge them it means I break the precombined meshes if I understand correctly.

  7. OH damn. So let's say I deleted everything... (which I did because I am an idiot) How do I undo it? I can use xedit right? Thanks for explaining navmesh! I am gonna try and implement it into my interior cell tonight.
  8. Hi guys, I have 2 problems at the moment that I would like some guidance with since I am a new mod author. Firstly I have deleted some things in an interior cell. It is deleted in my game and all like it should be, but when I disable and enable the mod again some things appear again. How do I fix this issue? The second issue I have is with Navmesh, I have no idea what it is or does or how I implement it. I looked on the wiki and I still don't really understand how to work with it. I apologize if these questions seem stupid, but like I said, I am relatively new to all of this. Thanks in advance :)

  11. I kind of already got a good story for this one (So I hope) And the VA can speak multiple languages so that's gonna be fun :D It's going to be a long and complex story too, so I hope people will enjoy it, this is going to take some work, perhaps a few months. (Perfection takes time) lol

  13. Also I was thinking, regarding dialogue, what if I add a line here and there where the voice actress speak in her own language? Would people like that?
  14. Please consider making her special ability be pointing out collectibles! You could make her say something interesting about each one, too. Seems like good room to inject some comedy. xPHacking and lockpicking is just kinda... basic. If the collectible-commentary is too difficult, maybe (and I dunno if this is possible) make her be able to intimidate/incite enemies at random? It could proc the same way the Ghoulish rank 3 perk does. Ghoulish rank 3 randomly makes a nearby ghoul become your friend. I'd say it happens about 1/4th as often as you see a Legendary enemy. I don't see why it couldn't also work on other enemy types. Or maybe that could be the perk you get from maxing out her affection? I don't know if it would be possible for her to point out collectibles. You mean like Dogmeat does sometimes? I mean I can try, should be able to figure something out.
  15. I was also thinking someone with sarcasm and a funny yet bad-ass personality. This voice actress CAN sing, so we'll see what we can play around with. PS - She might be coming with a radio station, I haven't decided if I should make the radio station separate or combine it with her.
  16. Dialogue is going to be awesome, you guys do not have to worry about that, we have a high quality RODE microphone to do the voice acting too with an acoustic room. I am gonna try and push for a very talkative character, 2500+ voice lines if you catch my drift. My main focus will definitely be story line and dialogue, because that is what I also want in a companion. As for special abilities, what do you guys prefer? Hacking, lock picking? I don't know if she will be able to do both (Don't think it is possible). Also, after reaching max affinity, what perks would you find useful? We all have different play styles which is why I would like some opinions on that.
  17. LOL I hear you, If I decide to make a female then I'll make the breast size normal xD As for commenting on locations and ambiance, there will be a lot of it as it will have a voice actor. I want to make this companion like the vanilla ones, but with waaaaay more dialogue. It will be compatible with the Unlimited Companion Framework and I will try to make it not take up a companion slot. As for a ghoul, I don't know, however I will make one in the future provided I find the right voice actor. What I really also want to know is the personality regarding personal story. Do you want someone with a sad sobby story like the rest of the companions, focus on your story with your son and husband or just rebelish, nerdy, a bit of everything. I would love to know your thoughts on this. It is a huge project so opinions matter! :)

  19. So... All of my Bethesda games on steam suddenly requires me to "Purchase" them in order to play. Seems to be a problem related to the recent Steam sales. If you do experience this, you can still launch the game via ModOrganizer. That seems to be a workaround.
  20. It's a global problem and it seems to be affecting all Bethesda games
