1. I totally understand the frustration, but I think our best plan of action is to sit back and wait and be patient. The Nexus team is doing everything possible to get this resolved quickly, and I, personally, would rather have this take time and be properly fixed than to have them open image share and potentially corrupt a lot more users' accounts. It's not their fault this happened, and they're doing the best they can. The best thing we can do is to lend them our support by being as patient and understanding as we possibly can.
2. I'm SUPER late on this (I didn't even realize there were four more pages after the first and just thought there had been no progress for days lol) but many thanks to the Nexus team for their ever-impressive dedication to making it a safe, friendly, and (usually) well-working site. As frustrating as it is not having access to the image share, I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates having it be down to get fixed rather to keep it up to satisfy many and potentially get their accounts hacked/damaged. Thanks so much, guys! <3
3. Hello community of people way smarter than me! Okay, so, I actually posted pretty much the exact same topic in the Oldrim forums, but here I am again, needing help with the exact same mod. Halo's Poser SE. Yep, that again. I used the extremely helpful instructions from last time to install it, and then I used FNIS - and everything seemed fine, because FNIS recognized it, so there was no sign that it wasn't going to work. I tried both the Poser Hotkeys and the Normal version, and with the hotkeys, it didn't come up in the MCM menu, and as for the Normal version, there were none of the rings in my inventory. Is it possible it doesn't get installed the same way as it does in Skyrim? I come to you guys because while I'm smart about a lot of things, this is clearly not one of them. Also, I'd just really like to take better screenshots, and so having this work is kind of important. Any help any of you can give me would be very appreciated! Thanks, smart people!
4. Hey there, incredibly smart people! Okay, so here's my problem. I've recently started playing SSE and have encountered a bug I never saw in Oldrim. Namely, after about fifteen minutes of gameplay, my character just starts walking...ONLY walking. At first, I thought my save game was corrupted and started another. Everything was fine...for fifteen minutes, when it started again. I've tried every solution, from bringing up the Steam overlay then exiting, console commands, switching key controls, everything, and nothing has fixed it. For now, the only "solution" I've found is going into God Mode, then playing around again with the controls. That fixes it, but my character reverts back to walking if I try to turn off God Mode. And it's an annoying fix, because what's even the point of playing Skyrim if you're invincible? So, to my extremely smart modding community, I ask: any ideas? I'm pretty damn desperate, and at this point I'll try ANYTHING. Thanks, people. I appreciate whatever help you guys can give me.
5. Yes, you read that right. Withered hands. Both my PC and all companions have withered hands. At least, I know the females do. Considering all the males are wearing gloves covering their hands, I can't say for sure. I'm guessing you don't really know what I mean by withered. Since taking screenshots in DAO is nothing like taking them in Skyrim, I'm just going to do my best to describe them. And if that fails...well, I'll figure it out. Somehow. Okay, so. Withered hands. When you're not up close and personal with them, the fingers are SUPER long, the nails are black, and when you are up close and personal with them, they look the kind of fingers Flemeth should have...but doesn't. I have literally checked everywhere on the internet on these forums for anyone else having the same problem, and no one does. I am completely at a loss here. It seems to happen whenever I use armor mods to outfit my PC in anything other than original DAO armors. Now, you'll probably say: the solution is simple! Don't use them! Yes, good advice. Except for the fact I've been using the same armor mods practically since I started playing Origins, and it's only recently become an issue. I resort to mods because my computer for whatever reason won't handle DAO graphics settings on anything other than low, so the people look like unidentifiable blobs. Okay, not really. But you get my point. So, if anyone has any ideas about how to fix this, or has even just seen this same thing, I would be very grateful to know it.
6. Yes, no, and I've already tried that; it skipped to the next quest but the game itself didn't actually update. Essentially, I'm pretty sure my game is thoroughly broken - at least when it comes to this questline - but I thank you for your help nonetheless.
7. Hello my fellow modders and Skyrim players (who are most definitely smarter than me), I come bearing a question about a bug in my game that I have been unable to fix. I've had it for at least a year now, and absolutely nothing I've done has ever fixed it. Before you ask, yes, of course I have USLEEP (at this point, who doesn't?) and yes, I've scoured the internets for help with my problem, but not only have I been unable to fix it, I've seen hardly anyone else having this same problem. So I come to you all in the hopes that you might know what's going on. Okay. Long story short. About nine or so months ago (don't ask why I waited this long to get help, because I have absolutely no idea) I was playing the civil war questline. I always join the Imperials (go ahead, judge, yell at me, tell me I'm wrong - but Ulfric is an ungrateful bastard and totally awful towards non-Nords, so there it is) but for some reason, for the last couple of playthroughs I get to quest "Defense of Whiterun" and after all of the Stormcloaks come in to fight, after the percentage meter gets around 50%, they just suddenly...stop coming. The battle music still plays, the NPCs (Imperial Legion soldiers, Hadvar, Legate Rikke) act as if the fight's still happening, but there are no more Stormcloaks to fight. Which, basically, just means that the civil war questline can no longer progress and is stuck. Definitely frustrating, and so far seems to be unfixable as well. I also don't believe it to be a mod conflict, because I've played Skyrim absent any mods after resetting it to vanilla, so I have no idea why mods would be causing the issue if they happened during a purely vanilla playthrough. For now, I've been using plunket's beautiful, glorious mod "Civil War Neutrality" (which I highly recommend you to check out, it's awesome, and provides a great way to avoid the civil war questline altogether if you don't want to play it) and it seems to be working fine, but I have to admit after so many playthroughs I miss being able to finish the civil war quests, and, now, I come to you smart people to hopefully help me find a solution. Or, if no solution, maybe just an explanation.
8. Dude! You are AWESOME! I'm so sorry this took so long (s#*! in life happens and you get distracted) but I did exactly what you said and it worked. Thank you for idiot-proofing this for me, you are the best. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (Also, I'm glad it worked, because it would have been really embarrassing if I needed to have it dumbed down even further. Okay, not embarrassing. Sad.) =)
9. Okay, see, this is great, except for one thing: I understand all of those steps...EXCEPT for how to install Halo. I literally understand every single step you just listed except for the one that's kind of needed in order to make it work. So. Let me idiot-proof myself even further. What I need to know: After downloading Halo, how do I actually INSTALL it? I'm probably going to be using the ring version, but I guess in this case the version doesn't matter, because either one you choose gets installed to the same place. So by this I mean, where do the files GO? And if I'm right that they go in the Skyrim/Data folder, then why on earth are they showing up and being read by FNIS but not by Skyrim itself? Seriously, I know this is probably moronic and I'm struggling with something a toddler could probably do given instructions, but at this point, I think I need like a tutorial video or something. Because clearly I'm a lot dumber than I thought I was.
10. To the modders and mod-users of Skyrim who AREN'T idiots: I have a problem. Okay, or maybe not a problem (it's not earth-shattering or anything but it IS annoying) but more of a question I'd like help with. I've been playing Skyrim forever, but only recently decided to add screenshots. Hard to believe, I know, but there it is. Anyways, beside the combat screenshots - which by all means are perfect on their own - I've been wanting to use Halo's Poser, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to make it work. Yes, I read every single readme in the 7zip archive. Yes, I scoured the internet for help. Yes, I watched videos and read help forums (but none of these helped because they were all for older versions of it) but I cannot get it to work no matter what I do. I know Halo's Poser is supposed to be installed manually, and yes, I've manually installed mods before (who hasn't?) and yes, I also know you can't add it to NMM, but even when I extract the archive like I'm supposed to (or how I think I'm supposed to), while FNIS recognizes it, it doesn't show up anywhere in my Skyrim/Data folder, and not in the data files section of the Skyrim launcher, either. So, in conclusion to this long-winded explanation of my complete inability to understand what's probably perfectly understandable instructions, I could really use help from anyone that could give me a short - or long, if necessary - explanation as to how to get this to work. Any help at all would be appreciated, and to anyone sitting at their keyboard reading this and thinking, âwho the f**k is this stupid? âallow me to help you out: it's me. It's always me.
11. Thank you VERY MUCH, tawatabak! It's pretty much exactly the same thing and it works great. You are awesome!
