SSE The Scarlet Judge armor from TESO?
Deleted477949User replied to Alixen's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
It's a good quest line and the Character was fun. Also the outfit does look cool. I wore it on my character for most of the Morrowind stuff too. -
SSE The Scarlet Judge armor from TESO?
Deleted477949User replied to Alixen's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Not sure why you're surpised. As it happens I did start making this a year-ish ago when I was playing ESO Morrowind for the 1st time. But I was more into playing ESO than modding and honestly the amount of work that goes into setting up skyrim armor compared to fallout just depresses me these days. -
I've seen a few videos in mod author only discord servers of wips of this but it is incredibly complicated and always buggy. Mostly its just proof of concept stuff not likely to see a general release but you never know.

I can't say for sure but it's possible that said moron has also just finished making something that could be a jetpack that may or may not be designed to look like the icon of sin. -
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39850?tab=description this was released not so long ago so i imagine more outfit modders will be implementing it in the future. Just sit tight and keep an eye on the new releases in outfit section. Also likely a lot of existing mods will get updates for them. I mean they:re not very suitable for fighting a one man/woman war in a post nuclear waste land but you do you bro.

LE The Only Thing I Want From This Life
Deleted477949User replied to ThMadMax's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
1) Please don't lump all mod authors/users into your degenerate class..... okay that's way too harsh some of my friends make slooty stuff and they're artists just like I am but ditch the idea that modding (especially outfits) is all about tits. You do a disservice to the entire community when you make that kind of statement. People mod all kinds of things for all kinds of reasons and there's no right or wrong (unless its a copyright issue) and you have no idea what will or will not be popular or worth the time of someone to create. Which actually brings me to point 2 2)Your subjective opinion matters to all of one people in the world and that's you so don't wave it around as a reason to put someone down. 3) Correct but I'm done talking to you Okay I get the jist of what your post was about. Look you can't buy a mod because you're not paying for a mod you're paying for an authors time. The going rate for a 3d artist is around 30 usd an hour and anyone who undervalues there time and charges less than that probably isn't worth the money you'd pay anyway. But if you're real about actually learning to 3d model then go for it. Use blender because its free and it just got a massive update. There are plenty of free youtube tutorials and a few cheap paid ones on udemy (though they may be dated now so stick to youtube and only things in ver 2.8 Start small (veeeerrrrrrryyyyyyy smaaallll) like a knife or a bowl or something. Work in stages. 1 learn to model. Just absorb everything you can on that. 2 then learn to uv unwrap 3 learn to texture (normal map spec map) 4 learn to rig and export (going through outfit studio is easiest) 5 learn the ck setup. Man its gonna take a long time. But I was you once. A mod I really wanted for Morrowind died before release so I took it on myself to make my own awful version. But that started me down the road to learning 3d art and modding oblivion, fallout 3, skyrim and FO4. I've made lots of great friends from this hobby and made some cool stuff. I've had one mod hit the hot files and got lots of feedback and abuse for my work as well. Just keep grinding man. Mabe by the time ES6 drops you'll be positioned to make whatever the hell you want. If you need a hand with anything join the discord server in my sig. No one there will do anything for you but if we can see you are studying and working we will take questions and help you solve problems. go for it man. -
yes i had to click my mouse twice to find them.

Excavator Power Armor from Fallout 76
Deleted477949User replied to doomsday0525's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
It would only be illegal if they ripped the asset from the game and ported it. If someone were to make a new 3d mesh from the 76 design and it was all their original work it would be fine. Fortunately for you guys blender 2.8 officially released this week and they updated their youtube channel with lots of new tutorials. This thread was started almost a year ago an no eastablished mod author has taken it on. Clearly we all have better things to do so it falls to you people to do more than write up "cool" ideas and talk about how awesome it would be. Get studying and make it happen. LE Doctor Who Missing Episodes... recreated in Skyrim
Deleted477949User replied to keithbk's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
While I applaud you're somewhat out of the box thinking on a long troubling issue I can honestly say this will never happen. Not in the creation engine anyway. Unreal engine 4 would be much better suited to this job and here's why. Using the creation kit (fallout or skyrim and fallout would be better for Dr Who's cookie retro sci fi style) provides people with a wealth of pre made assets from the game, from pots and pans to fully armoured knights. However for remaking an episode of Dr Who we can't really use any of these assets as they probably won't fit the setting/story. Some Fallout assets may do the trick but you're still looking at scratch building a LOT of stuff. Which immediately detracts from the usefulness of using the CK. Epic regularly give away free assets for games every month from a variety of genres so you'd have a much bigger pool of pre made stuff to work with and overall I find exporting to UE4 much easier than creation engine. Unreal engine 4 has a movie theater system allowing the user to control multiple cameras to create long multishot movies. It can literally double as an animation studio. The work to quality ratio isn't worthwhile in the creation engine. No matter how much work you put into the textures or what enb you use it's still an old game and it's always gonna look like Skyrim with some new stuff. As to your question will SOMEONE do it.... look in the mirror dude. You have enough time to play 100+ hour rpg games so you have the time to learn to use unreal engine, blender, and whatever other tools you're going to need. Using a game engine to make an animated movie is a fine idea and has been done before to great effect. But in this case not the creation engine I don't think. -
Looking for partner for large quest mod
Deleted477949User replied to MesaSolar's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Come over to my discord. There's a bunch of authors there swapping info and chatting and helping each other out. You can probably get invites to a few of their discords too where you can ask for help. The author community is very supportive of people taking the journey. Trust me we've all been there. -
Hi everyone. I'm working on a Wolfenstein themed mod featuring weapons, outfits and a short quest. (check my profile for info and screenshots) I'm just wondering if there are any musically minded people here who'd be interested in making a couple of pieces of epic music for the boss fights.

Are You Interested In Learning To Mod
Deleted477949User replied to Deleted477949User's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
no problem. Thanks for coming over. -
Hi guys. I'm trying to make a custom enchantment for a PA which could be added either via an object mod or just added to the base PA. I basically want to create an ability similar to the bloody mess power to blow up bodies but with a significantly higher percentage chance. I've taken a look at the bloody mess perk in the creation kit and can only find references to increasing weapon damage and setting the quest stage in the perk quest to 300. I checked that quest stage and couldn't find anything to help. I am very out of my depth here. Is this something I'll need a custom script for or could it be hacked together from what's already in the game? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone a few of us are starting a mod help discord server to help people get more out of their mods and maybe jump start their own career as a mod author. Our goals are simpleâ¦. A. Close the knowledge gap between authors and users and reduce some of the tension between the 2 groups on nexus mod forums. B. Allow users to make micro changes to their own mods. Like that outfit but wish it was red? We'll show you what to do etc. C. Help those who wish to launch their own mod making career. We currently can help with information on 3d asset creation and editing (weapons armor outfits etc) and using the creation kit. In future we want to have support for scripting too. We will do our best to take questions, direct you to tutorials and will be holding semi regular stream classes. https://discord.gg/RWwjv9K

If you're serious about making this yourself you're starting way to big. Choose one thing from this and focus on it. Trust me you'll very quickly see just how many hours you're going to need. A lot of what you want to do is also going to require scripting know how. Maybe you should start there as that's a massive can of worms. Keep this big idea in mind for the future. For now break off a piece and use that as your beginning project, the smaller and simpler the better. Once you've got a win under your belt you'll have more motiation moving forward and can package everything together at a later date.

www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29853 The militerized minute men is the closest you will get to what you want. With regards to your opinions on the Fallout game aesthetic you should spend some time reading up on both the lore of the fallout universe and the history of the game development as your post displays massive ignorance of both. This is not and was not ever meant to be a realistic vision of the future and Bethesda did not create this game they bought the license later when the aesthetic was already established. You are aware that this is also a comedy right? The humor has been toned down a lot since new vegas but this series was never meant to be taken seriously.

Why is no one making my mod request? The reality.
Deleted477949User replied to micalov's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I'm in the process of setting up a general q and a mod discord. We already have a bunch of stickies with tutorial links (and there are lots of sticky threads on these boards for the same thing go check them) and i will hopefully be doing some live stream question answer sessions and lessons. I'll share the link when all is ready. Edit The discord link is now in my signature. -
Question without getting an answer
Deleted477949User replied to Dragonborn2020's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
No no you can't. As I explained in your earlier topic the 2 engines have literally nothing to do with each other. Everything about Skyrim is designed for the creation engine which is an extension of the gamebyro engine. They don't accept the same file format or scripting format. Nothing about them is compatable. I have made skyrim and fallout mods and i know how to use unreal 4 as i am primarily a 3d artist and ue4 is a great place to test pbr shaders. On top of that if it were possible doing so would be a massive breach of copyright. Think about it if we could just copy and paste games into unreal 4 and take advantage of all their shaders with no work then why isn't it done all the time. -
Create a Skyrim mod
Deleted477949User replied to Dragonborn2020's topic in Hardware and software discussion
I'm a little confused by this question? Generally speaking you create a Skyrim mod in the creation kit which is a free download from steam. This is where you make quests edit scripts build worlds etc. If you want to go further and add custom weapons and armors etc you need to learn to use a 3d modeling tool such as blender and a texturing tool that can import export .dds format such as gimp or photoshop. Skyrim has nothing to do with unreal engine at all. The creation engine is an extension of the gamebyro engine. They are very very different. -
So I've been thinking for a while now I'd like to reintroduce the Morag Tong into Skyrim as a playable faction based on Solsteim. Creating the safehouse, armor and even the basic "go here kill this guy" quests would all be within my ability I think. However what would really make this interesting would be offering it as an alternative to the Dark Brotherhood faction. This would require a lot of editing to their quest line especially if the door could swing both ways. IE if you join the Tong you sometimes get attacked by the brotherhood for moving in on their turf and eventually get the mission to take down the brotherhood (similar to the penitus oculatos quest) or if you join the brotherhood Tong agents start to hunt you culminating in a raid on their base. So ideally I'm looking for someone who knows their way around scripting in Skyrim to partner with this on. If not then someone who doesn't mind me bugging them with scripting based questions on a semi regular basis as I attempt to wade through this myself. Anyway if anyone is up for helping leave me a comment here or shoot me pm. Thanks in advance.

The most amazing and beautiful rpg location thread
Deleted477949User replied to Deleted477949User's topic in Off-Topic
those are all great sources of inspiration. And I've been tralling through art station to eyeball that. Agreed that those worlds look lived in. I focus on games specifically because my final result from this project should have an isometric rpg look to it. Of course thats subject to change as the project developes. On passion projects the artist generally follows where the scene is going. As such I figure game world imagery will more directly translate to this theme, but everything is on the table at this stage.
