  1. I love how no one thought of the answer. Anyways after some desperate google'ing, I found out it was because I never ran the game from the SkyrimLauncher and always from SKSE. Thanks, shadowfx. I suppose a mod could close this thread.
  2. I just rename the original launcher to SL.exe and rename SKSE's to SkyrimLauncher.exe, have been using this method for around half a year. Also, now my load times are completely down the drain. They can be as long as 5 minutes and sometimes it doesn't load at all, and I'm only level 2 seeing as how I started a new game when I got hearthfire.
  3. I use SKSE's exe. And I have no idea what Wrye is. Edit: After some looking around it seems very complex .-. And I guess it's something like boss?
  4. It has always worked normally without any custom tweaking. All I did was install it to E:\BOSS and it worked. It always found my directory w/o problems. I'll try installing it @ skyrim's root folder. Edit: No it didn't help at all.
  5. Lately I've been having some weird crap with skyrim, anyways, here's the problem: When I run BOSS GUI and select skyrim, nothing happens. And when I run BOSS(CMD) this is what happens... http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/782/2b25a599579749f891ef67b.png After I read 'cannot be written to' I thought it might be related to it being installed on C:\Program Files, so I ran it as admin. It got rid of the 'can't be written to' error but the 'Skyrim.esm cannot be found' prevails. Help?
  6. ... is "Data Files" grey'ed out in the Skyrim Launcher? :wallbash:
  7. Did you try to click on Head? http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1935/d4272ee47e6541bab47d3c2.png
  8. What danger are you afraid of? As in, losing your savegame or CTDs/missing animations or scripting errors? Personally I just started a new savegame with all my mods and I haven't had 1 CTD, which is heaven for me because I had gotten accustomed to my savegames getting corrupted every 2 days or so. I've been playing with the new patch and DG for about 5 days and it's been swell. No errors on my game
  9. I'm having really big problems trying to customize Serana's outfit. Yesterday I tried making a custom outfit from scratch, by both duplicating an existing one, and by making an entire one. The main problem is when I save and open it up again in CK it's empty. So today I tried editing Serana's outfit to add a bunch of custom pieces in there. (Both w/ and w/o hood) and ingame she still had the Royal Vampire armour, so I'm really lost. On some thread that I can't find at the moment, there were 2 posts that explained why this was happening. To be honest, the first one made me feel stupid, because I really don't know much about CK. But what I grasped from it is that I should be adding armour addons, but they wouldn't even go in the outfit thingy that comes up. Then a second person posted a much simpler way to do them, but it was the same thing I was doing, so obviously it didn't work. I tried making something much simpler by just making an esp that removes Serana's outfit, and I tried using an Apachii hairstyle, which threw an error :wallbash:. http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/2374/c201bf78916c4f6e8788344.png After I click "Yes to All", the NPC's hair doesn't show up, like this: http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/6894/71d4071149bb40f6a9863aa.png Normally, I figure nearly everything I do on CK gives errors, so I did that with Serana (and other Dawnguard NPCs since the NPC editor doesn't work with Dawnguard (Yet, hopefully. The guy hasn't been around and I really want to use the NPC editor with custom races as well.) and after finishing the mod, when I load it ingame, the NPCs get a really weird tan on their face  //Edit: I forgot to mention, the tan thingy only happens when I use a hair from Apachii. I'm pretty sure someone must have come across this thing before.
  10. Just out of curiosity, what did you spell wrong? Dawnguard? Because, you'd think when something in the ini files doesn't seem write it would throw an error at you. Guess I'm expecting too much out of a game :whistling:
  11. SkyrimEditor.ini @ Mediafire. If you're jumpy about download files from the internet, I've also pasted it onto pastebin. SkyrimEditor @ Pastebin
  12. ... if it's updated then, you just need to add Dawnguard.bsa to the line I mentioned before. http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4610/a36fa4b06c194b80bad8a08.png I can upload my ini if you want :whistling:
  13. Aha, thought so. They couldn't be that stupid.
  14. Rofl. Steam doesn't keep the source files of the installation? Like, archive em into a rar unless you tell it to specifically delete the rar as well? Seems stupid of steam. Good thing I can't use it.
  15. I could send you my ini if you want it
  16. Ok... well, many different posts said to add different things, like adding a line to enable multiple master loads, but funnily enough, I got the master loads error on my mom's laptop and not on my desktop. On this clean installation of Skyrim, the only line that has Dawnguard is this: http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4610/a36fa4b06c194b80bad8a08.png
  17. Your screenshot didn't show your version
  18. Rofl, games with mods are way better than console. I can't believe I played vanilla skyrim after I downloaded some mods here. After I did, I've come to the conclusion that when compared with mods, vanilla is s***. (excuse my language, but saying 'feces' will not make it any better.)
  19. Well, unless you're using a pirated version of the game, you can just updated it with steam. If you do have a pirated one, just google around. However, I did fix my problem just by updating. http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/6338/869140afab1042d4870b855.png
  20. Superski, what version is your CK? All you need to do is update. http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/6338/869140afab1042d4870b855.png
  21. The latest build works for 1.7.7.0.6 as well. Personally I just copy the DLLs and exe and data folder and drop it in the main folder of Skyrim and it works
  22. I've answered this in another thread. When you click Launch skyrim, the SkyrimLauncher opens up. Then you'll see that Data Files is greyed out. Close the NMM. > Go to My Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrimprefs.ini > Open it with notepad, CTRL F for [Launcher] > Then, under launcher, add this line: > bEnableFileSelection=1 > Save, then close. > Open up NMM, enable them all in the plugins menu. > Have fun.
