I think I've figured out my problem... My version is 1.4.something, and the latest one is v1.6.89.0.
-
If it's Grey then there's no possible way that that line would be present. @OP, just add bEnableFileSelection=1 under your [Launcher] section.
-
Hah, join the club. I've added everything possible to Skyrimeditor.ini and it always crashes.

Way to kick a man when he's down, Skyrim

No, he means, the Skyrim Launcher, not the Nexus Mod Manager. When you click Play, it brings up something called the Skyrim Launcher... http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/8339/b4cbbd38c2ff4bf793e2f8e.png

It's alright. I can't even load dawnguard :P

If it still crashes with only one mod active, then I think you have a corrupt save. Check the limit on it. Also, if you crash near certain places, you might as well try to go to an inn and open up the console, and write pcb. Personally I sometimes use it because some places just don't get rendered and I end up falling in a grey thingy forever, most of the times it works. But recently markarth got bugged and it doesn't fix it. If you get some lines written after you write it, then the command worked and you should try going to the places that usually make you CTD. If it doesn't do anything, then try a different inn.

Are people able to open the Dawnguard ESM?
xNodus replied to SFBryan18's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I have tried adding [General] [General] bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1 bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 and SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa Only difference is now it throws a lot more errors before it crashes. -
Version 1.7.7.05 doesn't exist. I hope you mean 1.7.7.06...
-
It's in the main folder, the same folder that has CreationKit.exe. It's an ini file, not a folder.
-
The plugin file is at C:\Username\Appdata\Local\Skyrim To fix the grey-ed out thingy with the launcher, you add the line to it under [launcher] it won't be there. Like this; [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 bShowAllResolutions=1 uLastAspectRatio=3 [blurShaderHDR] bDoHighDynamicRange=0 [blurShader] bUseBlurShader=0 The skyrim prefs file is in C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Skyrim

It's already in the spoiler tag.

Happens sometimes with me. My best bet would be to check your DLClist.text in AppData\Local\Skyrim

I love how no one answered the guy. Not much help in this forum.

Be thankful. I run a fresh install of Skyrim approx every 2 days on my Desktop. My mom's laptop is more gracious however. Been here for 5 days and not a CTD loop. And by loop, I mean a lot of CTDS like I get on my Desktop. Only had 3 so far.
-
You mean Skyrim crashes before you can click on new? To my knowledge that can't happen without any mods running.
-
Bring up the console and type help "remodeled" -0
-
I know you're not supposed to have 2 cloaks' esps running, but I did and I had no problem. It caused CTDS after installing more mods though.

Skyrim CTD whenever any mod/plugin is active
xNodus replied to lokywolf's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Uh, what are the mods that crash, and what version is your Skyrim. For example, when I tried Animated Prostitution, just for the lulz, it kept crashing. Later I figured out it needed v1.6 when I had 1. -
Where in skyrim other than the forge do I find Modded armor?
xNodus replied to Notrandom's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Eh, idk, I usually just cheat my way and console my way through the game. However, don't write more than one word between the quotes unless you're sure about it. For example, Unless I knew which parts of the armors are there, I have to write "Wolf" which brings everything up from NPCS to dialogues to everything, so I page up a lot. You're very welcome. -
I LOVE YOU! It worked. Might as well try loading Dawnguard. Thanks again! Edit: Bleh, still crashes. Thanks though!

Ok. First of all, I want to say that for 2 past days, I have been thinking I'm stupid. But something's definitely wrong with my PC. I've done everything in all the threads that say what to modify in the SkyrimEditor.ini file. I've even went as far as asking someone who made a dawnguard mod to give me his ini file, which he did. Dawnguard still crashes, but I said @#$% it, I'll just not mod it. But now, seeing as how SkyrimEditor crashes whenever I try to use a custom race, I was going for a long shot to create it with the CreationKit. I tried loading Skyrim.esm and ApachiiHair.esm, and the CreationKit throws out http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/1558/85915fedbe63445ba9cdb3c.png. This has led me to question the fact that I'm placing the added lines to use Dawnguard in a wrong SkyrimEditor.ini... because I've made sure I have [General] bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1 and it still throws out the same error. Isn't it the one in the Main directory? This one? http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/757/c64ce4990fc940efb714958.png Here's my full SkyrimEditor.ini files...

xNodus replied to Notrandom's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I already answered you. However, if Aela is wearing it, this makes it much easier. Open console, click on Aela. Write (without the quotes) 'showinventory' It will show everything she has. -
@BMRX If the launcher is greyed out, and you use the NMM that opens the launcher, it won't work, because the launcher resets the plugins/loadorder when it's grey, so that means that whatever the NMM does, it's canceled. Personally, I just rename the SKSE loader into SkyrimLauncher.exe and the original launcher into Launcher.exe that way I don't use the game's launcher. @notrandom Maybe it is not forge-able. Open your console and type help "armor name" -0... for example if it's Tyrael, write Tyreal or something.
