  1. Orange means the masters of the .esp are in the wrong order. ie LOOT doesn't sort em all correctly. Check the beginners' guide in my signature it'll take you through fixing that.
The jest of it is that you need to reorder the mods unless it's the official DLCs or unofficial patches.

  2. XCE is kinda outdated and uncapper is useless since there is no level cap anymore cos bethesda. That's quite a lot of mods so I assume you're using LOOT to shift through it. When in wrye is anything red or orange? You might have a mod that overwrites so of the things legacy does. mine is fairly high in load order, after cutting room floor.

  3.

As I mentioned earlier, the posting is tailored to helping noobie modders like myself and I usually only paste the relevant section but decided for your benefit (or displeasure) to paste the whole thing.

Sorting DLC and Unofficial Patches :
I sort the proper way. So does LOOT, at least today it did.
I did however find it funny how I crashed then god rid of highres pack esps, ran again and survived 30min. (The BSAs were all ticked) MO lets you tick archives without the need for dummy esp files (the hires pack and it's unofficial patch) Then proceeded to add them back, add SkyUI and it all worked fine.
    Skse.ini :
I tested both original and my 1024Mb ini. No changes but I'll go back to default for the sake of avoiding potential problems.
    Permissions and compatibility :
Tested multiple variations, still crashing. I just left it at run as admin and no compalibility for now. I did not however try -forcesteamloader yet.
    Optimizations :
I typically use Stable uGridsToLoad, Skyrim Performance Plus as well as Skyrim Project Optimization. I also used to use SafetyLoad but it doesn't seem to have much of a difference. I use default uGrids, I know better than to screw with those. Also cleaned DLC and Update, had a debate with gromulos about those but from what I know this useful for avoiding CTDs in the DLC.
    ENB :
I tried a few presets but fps was around 25-30 and felt a bit slow so I decided to simply use the speed patch instead. And now I actually got rid of ENB completely. No changes with regards to the ctd.
    Back to Optimizations :
Actually did a bit more than simply the perfomance plus mod. I went through all my texture and reduced with less useful ones with Ordenator and other similar tool. Had a few issues with SMIM textures being corrupted and showing up purple in-game after that but have since fixed those and optimized everything the best I could. Crash still happens.
    Save and New games :
Alternate Start is my go to but I also simply coc whiterun from Main Menu when I don't have it in load order. Unfortunately you can't use a vanilla save all the time, some mods require new games (ex: Civil War Overhaul) and this would result in eventual CTDs if not followed. Either way, crash still happens, I could even just sit at main menu.
    MCM :
Yah I know of these but it I just wait for everything to load before even moving. PS: sometimes I get MCM has added 30+ menus. Anyhow never really had issues with it. Altough gromulos believes that SkyUI needed to be towards the bottom of your load order due to MCM menu mods where as I believe that this being a framework and the mods not really depenting on SkyUI it should be wherever LOOT places it.
    Patches / Updates :
MO makes that really easy. I would also like to add that one should always check a mod's compatibility and if it requires patches since not all mods come with installers. This is not such a situation unfortunately or I'd have solved it months ago.
    SOS/ Sexlab :
Don't use. However dabled with Body Studio, CBBE, TBBP and HDT.
    Logging:
I don't run logging anymore as I don't believe papyrus will spit out anything useful anymore.
    Noob/Beginners' Guides:
I've read all possible guides I could including grom's (it's in my signature btw ). He hangs out in chat and even he was perplexed by this CTD. I don't mind that it's a noob guide, I was a noob when I began trying to fix this, learned a bunch and actually writing a troubleshooting guide on the side now. I only disregard things like 'are your fans blocked'. Also, use vim :pirate:

To conclude, I am thankful for all this info but in the end if I crash using DLCs + SkyUI and staying on the main menu, then I highly doubt that replicating your load order will save me.
I do believe this is highly useful for anyone that's into skyrim modding. If you summarize it a bit and organize it, you can probably making it into a sort of skyrim modding tips/tricks topic.
  4. These are just ideas, I don't care to read your post again if I missed that you already covered your bases with these ideas

Doesn't matter if I use ENBoost or not, still crash. Also dx12 has nothing to do with it. Skyrim is dx9 and there is nothing that will change that unless the devs rebuilt it.

My Steam Library is on another partition so should be good. Permissions and what not should be fine.

HDD for now but looking into replacing the dvd drive with an ssd mount. Laptop isn't the best but I crash at the main menu I doubt something intense is going on.

Had I been running frostfall and 4k textures I could see how this could come in play. I did however optimize textures and dialed back a bit (ex: hd food or clutter) just in case.

However boastful I may sound, it is simply because I have asked around and made posts before that were either ignored or filled with people going over basics steps that I already went through. Then when I specified that I tried the usual steps in a new topic they would just continue spamming that I need to get rid of script mods. So I did, knowing that it wouldn't change a thing and then they ran out of basics to suggest...

Therefore, in this topic, I opted to provide a section where I would list things that are not the issue here to save these people some time.

I do truly appreciate every single person that has offered their help here, in chat or on reddit. Even if it was a simple comment about getting rid of my texture mods, it still makes me reassess this elusive issue.

  5. possible solution

The memory Block Logs are fine except my 1st block is 768 as I felt the extra memory might be useful (doesn't actually change anything since I never reach 512)

Can you link the post about setting up skse with win10. I think I did it right but it never hurts to double check.
as for the inis I tried different variations, from auto to carefully tweaked onces based on nvidia guide.

So, have you found a solution to this problem yet? Are there any other every-15-minute processes that happen in the background?

Thanks and sorry for the ramble,

    -Eplov

Not yet. Not sure about other 15min processes but I did try tscr (toggles script processing) and still crashed so I guess not scripts, so it would have to be external processes.

Do you stop crashing if you launch from MO without Performance Monitor?

You could be on to something. I used to think this could be related to dll injection as I had lots of things that messed with TESV.exe (HiAlgo, ScriptDragon, ENB, PerfMon). But I tested right now with none of those, just running through MO, and I crashed. Meanwhile just running SKSE with a few manual mods (SkyUI and TamrielOnline) worked fine. Sooooo if this IS Mod Organizer then are we all using it? Has anyone using NMM had this ctd?

  6. I have one issue I need some assistance with. Not sure if this is the right forum to ask in. Everything shows up in racemenue and CBBE Morphs work. however in Bodyslide2 my skin texture is burnt and this reflects in racemenue. Any fix for this?

I had the burned skin thing a while ago but that was only in body slide, didn't affect game. Not sure how it stopped. You should probably make your own topic tho if you want help.

I have checked the CBBE Morphs in installation of Body Slide 2 but have not generated a body yet.

yah you actually need to run body slide, check the racemenu morphs box and generate presets in order for it to work properly in-game. Shouldn't be too hard, good luck.

  7. You need to install Body Slide 2 and make sure you check the CBBE Morphs. Then you need to open Body Slide and generate the low and high presents but make sure you checked the racemenu morphs box to modify from RaceMenu.
Also : You will not see it affect clothes unless you download compatible armors or clothes.

  8. Consistently getting stutters while trying to go around Whiterun now and CTD when trying to enter Jorrvaskr, wasn't happening like 30 minutes ago and nothing's changed so no idea

Too much textures / city overhauls ???

If you use the Monitor tool, you can see if you're close to your max VRAM. That usually results in what you describe, stutters and CTDs. Since Whiterun is already a complex area, mods don't help reduce the burden.

  9. Disable ALL the mods and make sure everything runs fine then start adding them back in chucks till you start experiencing issues again. Disable half of the last batch of 10 and see if the problem persists. Then you can disable/enable 1 by 1 till you isolate the cause of your issues.

  10. Im not sorting through 200 mods for you trying to figure out your possible issue. So yeah clear concise and to the point is the best way to get help. While also including all important information without making it a huge mess.

But i encourage everyone to READ and RESEARCH on your own BEFORE asking on a forum. Chances are someone else has had the same problem and a quick google search will give you your answer.

I just scan through quickly, making sure anything specific doesn't stand out to me, like broken mods or a series of papyrus errors that I recognize.

But overall, I doubt anyone will go through all the 400 lines of the log. And as Demonikone put it so well : "Google is your friend"

  11. Manners... For example titling a request "another bug that everyone is ignoring" is most likley going to CONTINUE to be ignored...

I agree with you, as much infomation as possible is good, but that dosent mean you stumble around ways to describe it, ( this harkens to your snapshots, Logs and specs obviously ) as you said, CONSISE.

also I would like to advise another VERY important fact is EASE OF ACCESS, (for lack of better term) ::

Creating a three page long list of infomation is kinda like that huge book that you wanted to read but it was just too damn heavy.

And so on.. to make the post shorter and easier to read ^_^

all in all, i would like to thank you for proviving such a useful thread for people to read over...

and yes... Google is your Friend

I absolutely agree. spoiler tags are a must if you have a bunch of information and being concise highly affects your chances of receiving help quickly . Walls of text are discouraging but not as much as condescending titles

  12. Properly managing load orders : you run LOOT, sort you load order and read/follow the messages that it gives you (dirty plugins, missing master, etc.) this covers about 80% and is okay. But with a long list like your's you'll probably need to use Wrye Bash to iron out some kinks and you should probably make a bashed patch as well. Here's a tutorial, follow it to reduce mod conflicts as much as possible. Beginners guide to modding - Skyrim Mod Troubleshooting - The Nexus Forums

  13. I'd actually suggest getting rid of UFO completely and using Extensive Follower Framework or Amazing Follower Tweaks instead since UFO is heavily outdated.

Now with regards to the problem try installing Skyrim Performance Monitor and making sure that you're not killing your system which isn't pretty great. You mention FPS drops, freezes, stuttering, random location CTDs which all point to exhaustion of system resources.

  14. AT EACH tile i tried to see the kyUI i staid always on the very first menu of the game, using ESC during the intro scene !

What?!!???!!?!? Can you try to say what you meant again?

Anyways, SkyUI should be seen when either using magic or item menu... If it looks like vanilla skyrim you didn't do it right.

MCM is a new option in the ESC menu right after settings.

If you don't see either : SkyUI might not be installed properly or SKSE isn't running. Yes you might have installed it all right but sometimes files can are disabled by windows because they're downloaded and windows think they're unsafe so you need to right click them, open properties and unblock.

  15. Possible Conflicts but I'm not sure at all just basing this on what the mods do :
Moonlight Tales - Werewolf and Werebear Overhaul
    Werewolf Perks Expanded
    and
    Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2
    Immersive Sounds - Compendium

DynDOLOD can be difficult to setup.. watch this :

Other than that nothing sticks out. It's 25 mods, you'll probably have to test each one by one (chunks of 5 could make it faster)

  16. No. But you can use LOOT and TES5EDIT. If tes5edit finds an issue it will stop and alert you. But with LOOT you can go to filters and hide messageless plugins. Read what's left and do what it says (ie clean a few mods)

Also : Get skyrim performance monitor and memory block logs to rule out you pc being overburdened.

other than that mod conflict probably. read mod pages and install compatibility patches. look for any issues mentioned between mods. Other than that you're stuck testing your 195 mods (try going by chunks of 10 then isolate the cause)
