  1. You've jinxed it, they're never going to do it now
  2. Update, the profile picture has been removed after I reported it. So... I guess this is a win for the Union boys!
  3. Well the account in question is American, so they know the symbolism of the flag. I just wasn't sure what the rules are since Black Tree Gaming is based in the UK. I'm going to report the account anyway, since it is a hateful symbol here in the US.
  4. Are confederate flags allowed in profile pictures? Should I report them or just ignore them?
  5. This is all a bit melodramatic, let's just calm down and do what we did when LE switched to SE. Panic and lash out.
  6. There should be seperate catagories for NPC improvements and mods that add NPCs. They do very different things but we just all collectively lump them in the same category out of laziness. I mean, there's two different Location, Items and Objects, Magic, Followers and Companions, and Armour categories.
  7. NOOOO! Not rounded edges! The horror!
  8. I'm trying to get this oldrim mod functioning: Automatic Variants. The issue is that there's already a port, found here: Automatic Variants SSE that doesn't function correctly. I suspect that it wasn't ported properly, however I don't want to point fingers at the author. It claims that it should function properly (form 44 plugins, load plugins correctly), but it just seems to be a copy-paste of the original files, so I'm unsure of how it could have these new functions (hopefully the author can correct me on this). Also, in practice it doesn't produce form 44 plugins. I'm also having an issue when the textures are moved from the SkyProc folder to the textures folder, where the program copies the ENTIRE filetree. And the scripts have a lot of things in quotation marks, and I think it may be a function that was removed from Papyrus at some point, but I'm not sure. Since the port isn't official, there isn't a whole lot of documentation besides in the comments. However the comments appear to be about as informed as me. The official documentation was actually really helpful, but it didn't solve all of my issues, detailed above. It also doesn't help that I don't know what a working installation would even look like since I didn't know about this until today. Another viable solution is to learn how to create Synthesis patchers and remake it from scratch myself, but I would like to fix the original for SE rather than create my own for simplicity's sake.
  9. If you want more info regarding modpacks go here https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14568, there's a Q&A pinned in the comments.
  10. here's your opener, as you have plainly forgot what you wrote there's no discussion there. also, you didn't get my "opinion" on loot groups. i told you what to do if you want to resolve the issue in your opener. you know, the "atrocity". you're welcome. Guy's not allowed to joke now? But you're allowed to be rude. That makes sense.
  11. Thanks for the support here. Just because I'm not Lexy means I can't make my own dang loot groups? Come on. no-one said in any post in this thread you can't make your own loot posts. you can make as many groups as you want, it's your game, you do you. HOWEVER your "issue" was that you didn't like the graphical display of the groups you'd created and called out Vortex/LOOT for how it was displayed because it wasn't to your liking. Note, there isn't a problem here, you were being obnoxious (see first post) despite clearly not understanding why the graphic looked like it did (see reply from @Tannin42). The resolution to this "issue" is, quite simple, don't make loads of groups that are not required, because plugins are not mods, just as mods are not plugins. You posted a problem, you were given a solution. You don't need to say thank you. I think we're done here, no? I don't need your opinions on LOOT groups if you're going to talk to me like this. I posted this in Discussion to discuss, not to be talked down to by an entitled prat.
  12. Your "advice" is belittling my modding experience and being openly hostile towards me. You do give pretty solid advice to new modders, I've seen that by taking a look at some other threads, but I'm afraid I'm not a new modder.
  13. Thanks for the support here. Just because I'm not Lexy means I can't make my own dang loot groups? Come on.
  14. I think at this point you're being overly obsessive, and just finding fault for the sake of it. I'm sorry HTR, I shouldn't have called you out like that. I'm just frustrated that I can't solve these issues, even after 3 years of dealing with them.
  15. i've given you your options. give feedback and see what happens and change the css - what else do you want? I don't know what I'm supposed to change. What's the code? I don't know the language in the slightest.
  16. It looks bad because of the groups you added. Groups should be Group 1 -------> Group 2 --------> Group 3 ---------> GROUPS are a SORTING Method, and if you randomly add GROUPS, you are going to end up with CYCLIC RULES and then you're going to complain again, and blame Vortex The problem you're going to run into if you keep creating groups, is you're going to make a group that loads BEFORE another Group, then you're going to put a mod that's supposed to LOAD AFTER another Mod, in the group you made that LOADS BEFORE and there's where your cyclic Rules is going to come in. I know how to sort mods perfectly fine. LOOT is just a tool to tell me whether I've fecked up or not. If Vortex allowed me to edit the load order manually instead of assigning groups I would do that, but it doesn't. And since it doesn't, then it should have an interface that is at least as good as the regular LOOT interface. But it doesn't. It actually has a pretty crap interface that you lot are going through a whole lot of trouble to defend after I made a "Ha ha, this sucks a little bit" joke.
  17. I just want the plugin page to look nice, is that so much to ask for?
  18. I just did. Exact same plugins, I marked a plugin as esl, no more grammar. FWIW NONE of my plugins use capitalization, they're all lower case, but when I look at them in the Mod Staging Folder, they're capitalized. Who cares really? Here's the Plugin in my Plugin List Lowercase Here's the Plugin in the Mod Staging Folder, Properly Capitalized. Personally I don't care, I also didn't make the plugin "Light" either, Vortex just displays it as lower case for some reason. I'm using 1.4.11 It doesn't affect me in the slightest yeah but the OP is claiming that when this happens, they can't read them - for some reason or other. i have no idea why they can't read them, but there it is. It just makes it harder for me to read, not literally impossible.
  19. The only way you can get loot groups looking that messed up is by assigning plugins to LOOT groups or Creating your Groups, and then forcing them to sort incorrectly. SIMPLE AS THAT. So, please describe EXACTLY, what YOU are doing in order to get these messed up screenshots. I made new groups to sort my plugins. That's all I did. DO NOT MAKE NEW GROUPS. They aren't like "Categories" in NMM Right now the only problem with Vortex is YOU and what you're doing to it. Undo what you've done and it will work just fine. It does work fine it just looks bad.
  20. I just did. Exact same plugins, I marked a plugin as esl, no more grammar.
  21. That's the default... It's the default LOOT group setup because the default LOOT groups work in almost all cases. Creating a custom group should only be used as a last resort. In the three years I've been using Vortex I have never had to create a custom group. In those years I've modded numerous games using hundreds of mods. Although I've never had to create a custom group, I have made a small number of group assignments, but they were to a LOOT default group and not to a custom group. If custom groups are bad then they wouldn't be an option. My plugins are sorted exactly as I like them, and aside from a different interface issue I can read them quite easily to figue out what should go where. It's just the dang LOOT layout, I mean, look at it. It's terrible. IIRC the LOOT program has a nice grid to manage groups, I don't know why they decided to go for a more... star chart type layout.
  22. Edit: I swear I attached an image. Here's the same plugins, without capitalization. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ugI2lWd0M4H6WbedqFsBoAQ2F4NU0Dqy/view?usp=sharing
  23. However the first screenshot does not have capitalization.
  24. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yp3boUhd8-uXlTTAuOdnj2i2gmBHQYsv/view?usp=sharing That's the best I can do with image sharing. Anyway, as you can see, that is the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed.
  25. Edit: I swear I attached an image.
