  1. "You won’t ever see a Druid Gameworks game priced at $60" ^ Inflation might make you regret saying that, ya know. If there's another inflation crisis, $60 might end up being worth the equivelant of $20 now :P Anyway, this sounds pretty great. I'm downloading the demo now.

As in, after his predictive article. It does look a bit dodgy that he was actually right, but then again; in hindsight, many of us should have predicted it if we'd really paid attention to what Valve's been up to lately. And I really see nothing wrong with taking a cut from this. As long as they haven't signed a contract stopping them from still making an argument against Valve's actions, it's fine. They haven't sold out; they're just taking free money with seemingly no conditions. Maybe Valve are just trying to make themselves feel better about the whole thing by at least doing something right.(even if they've messed everything else up)

Inb4 £29.99 Dust; with extra shininess for only 10p more! In all seriousness; Thank you. Your mods are amazing; improving the textures some people would consider small but which actually have a massive impact on Skyrim's visuals as they are so frequent in the world.
  4. I might be on the edge about this if creators were actually getting a reasonable cut. 25%?! That's disgusting. 35% would be reasonable. More than 50% might be a bit much of course because most mods use a lot of Bethesda's resources but I think 25% is just far too low. Even if you use all vanilla resources, large mods, such as town expansions, take a lot of effort to build. Either way, I don't like this idea. I have no doubt that a lot of modders are going to make 'mediocre'* mods and charge a few quid for them. Which for most mods is a lot of money. And with creators getting such a low cut, my reluctance to accept this idea becomes hate and while, of course, those who were posting abusive comments on Steam Workshop should have worded their complaints more politely, their disdain for this concept is not unprovoked. It will lure many amateur modders who just want to make a quick buck; and they won't even be getting most of each buck they sell their mod for. * - Obviously subject to opinion but I think logical estimations of quality can be made
  5. In response to post #16487839. #16493059 is also a reply to the same post. Indeed, and BOSS has most intentional dirty edits on record as intentional, so the Nexus staff could just look through that database to help weed out those that aren't intentional.
  6. In response to post #8583066. #8584189 is also a reply to the same post. I had a suspicion that was probably the issue. I've had login issues multiple times and repaired it everytime by simply deleting my cookies. It's generally the best way to go if you ever have connection issues anywhere.
  7. In response to post #8299283. #8302031 is also a reply to the same post. Well, it's completely incorrect. What you should be doing is going to a psychiatrist to explore your extreme anxiety issues. Nothing to do with your sexuality. But yeah, ignoring the logic, pretty funny I suppose :P
  8. In response to post #8294955. #8295060 is also a reply to the same post. Isn't adult nudity allowed in the Supporter Images section though, of which Rosepine should have access to?
  9. Actually... it probably is. Already downloaded it but wasn't sure what it actually was. Not much is detailed in the description so I guess I'll just play it and see. Thank you :)
  10. Just want the name and possibly link for a module/campaign I vaguely recall enjoying a year or two ago. I recall it began in a village. You're just a villager and you're sent to a mysterious ruin, either for a dare or it might have been to find something. You then go into the ruins and of course go on an adventure throughout. The companions were quite well developed and there were puzzles in the campaign. There were also both indoor and outdoor areas within the ruins. Oh and I believe it was a pretty low-level campaign. Anyone got any idea as to what the name was?
  11. Cutting off the comments and forcing users to use discussions is a great idea. Having the single comments topic was the only thing keeping me from organising comments into discussions as I knew that while the main comments still existed, nobody would use discussions. If I ever get back into modding(taking a break or leaving entirely to work on my own game), I'll certainly use this feature. :)
  12. In response to post #7634639. #7634687 is also a reply to the same post. I doubt it was a basement hacker that did this. It was likely a small organisation. If it had been a basement hacker, they'd have been more easily caught as I doubt that they could have set up 'smoke screens' in time alone.Though of course it is possible that nobody even noticed the hacking in time to even begin to find the culprit.
  13. I've been thinking of this but it's difficult. Riftweald's full of one-time scripts(traps, ramps, gates, etc.) It should be possible but it would take a lot of work to set up scripts to reverse the existing scripts without messing up quests. Then again... I do need practice before I start messing around with major scripts I have planned for the Winterhold Ruins mod ;D So sure, I'll do it. :P
  14. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22879 ^ Boost AMD should solve your issues. Sounds like it's probably your CPU.(single core performance sucks. You need to use all 8 threads) I know your resolution is high but I'm pretty sure the 670's capable of smooth framerates even at that resolution,
  15. Both mod managers work together fine without any in-game issues. The only practical issue is that they don't sync. If somebody's downloaded a mod on one Mod Manager, it won't be visible as a mod on the other. The esps will show in the load order but they won't be recognised as part of a mod. I don't think uninstalling a mod will work on the other Mod Manager if you install a Mod on one. It's pretty simple to just use one mod manager to install omods though(or whatever they're called these days). I'm pretty sure an installer designed for NMM should work for TesModManager too. TesModManager is advertised as being capable of installing Fomods. (I've never tried though. Might need clarification here)
  16. The new forums look great. There are a few issues(such as the chat members number) but overall, everything looks awesome. I hope some of the forum upgrades improve the comments somehow too. :P (It'd be great if you could actually update the comments though. Do they run on different code?)
  17. This article reminded me to disable my adblocker. :P Was going to do it ages ago and had done so on my old PC and... I think on this PC before I formatted it. However, I forgot to do it on this PC(after formatting). I was considering membership already after reading a past article but now there's even more incentive to do so. :)
  18. This has given me new appreciation for the Nexus sites. I'll admit I curse madly at the Nexus whenever a page doesn't load properly. I even start to throw things. But then, a few seconds later, every time, I remember the reasons why despite all of that, I still use the Nexus. The Nexus is a brilliant site. I wouldn't even consider using the Workshop for my Skyrim mods anymore with all of the features added to the Mod Manager and the site itself. The Skyrim Nexus is unsurpassed. As soon as I've bought a new graphics card(I've been saving up for a long time so I'm afraid you'll have to wait :P), I'll be buying a Premium membership for a year or two. :) P.S. Yeah, I think I do have anger management issues... :/
