Well my game still crashed. Lasted longer than usual this time (around 50 minutes) but it still happened.
-
So far so good. But now whenever I start a new game, all of the NPC's faces are white. Their skin colors and body proportions are correct, but their heads are pale.
-
I modified my load order to this one, but you seem to be missing a few mods. Are you only including those mods on the load order list because their position on the load order is more important?
-
Alright, I created another merged patch and performed a master update.
-
Oh no man just copy the FNVEdit.exe and rename it to FNVMasterUpdate.exe. Also copy it once more and rename it FNVMasterRestore.exe, if you see that master updating crashes your game. Also, have you had any luck with the merged patch? If the merged patch and master update don't work, then you should try disabling your mods one at a time, starting with the biggest ones. Also, why isn't your FalloutNV.esm first in your load order??????? I saw this now. I already created the merged patch. It's the file called Mypatchplugin 1.esp. Also, the reason why my FalloutNV.esm file isn't first in my load order is due to me reinstalling the game. Here is what happened with the master update: [00:04] Background Loader: [NVEC NVCE PN Equipment Patch.esp] Loading file [00:04] Background Loader: Fatal: <EOSError: System Error. Code: 2. The system cannot find the file specified> [00:05] --= Error =-- [00:05] An error occured while loading your active modules. [00:05] Please look at the log above to determine which of your modules caused that problem. [00:05] The most likely reason for this is a module file that contains structural errors. [00:05] [00:05] !!! No changes have been made to any of your active modules. [00:05] !!! You have to resolve the problem and run this program again. [00:05] [00:05] Loading and saving the problematic module in GECK can sometimes produce [00:05] a working version. But it is recommended to contact the author of the module [00:05] to get the original fixed. [00:06] Background Loader: finished

Unfortunately, I can't find the FNVedit folder that I need to perform a master update.
-
I already downloaded it. I also disabled my auto save feature and am using CASM instead. As for the crashing, it happens every 10-40 minutes and it doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing. Also I didn't run completely modless. I had NMC's texture pack medium and the New Vegas enhanced content complete with New Vegas character expansions mod running. Ok, first try to create a merged patch in FNVEdit and test the game stability. Then do a master update and test again. Then post the results. If you need any help with these tell me. I've already created the merged patch, but doesn't a master update crash a great deal of mods?

More bad news: Even if I uninstall all of my mods (except for NMC's texture pack medium and NVEC complete-NVCE) I still CTD every 10-20 minutes.

Is there a training manual for the latest version of FNVedit?
-
After applying a conflict filter on FNVedit, I found that the majority of my mods, and the DLC's, are in conflict with one another. Can anyone tell me how to merge them after creating an automatic merged patch? The FNVedit manual isn't as helpful as I thought it would be on resolving conflicts using merged patches.

You might have better luck with stability using NVEC -- just make sure to read up on all of the things it incorporates and remove any standalone mods that do the same thing. I will never recommend Mission Mojave to anyone, but it's another option. Also, run BOSS on that load order and replace your merged patch. Thanks for the advice. My game still crashes, but I'm at least one step closer towards my goal.
-
Well aside from FNVedit merge patches, does anyone have any advice on this particular load order? Because my game crashes every few minutes and I would like this issue to be resolved as soon as possible.
-
Why shouldn't I use an FNVedit merged patch?
-
Does anyone on these forums have any experience with load orders?
-
I frequently experience crashes, even in fake full screen mode. In the first 10-20 minutes of starting a new game (after completing the tutorial) I get an error message saying "Fallout NV is no longer working" and I immediately CTD. If I revert to a previous save in that profile, the same thing happens every 10-20 minutes. I've also installed the NV stutter remover and 4gbNV. The first thing I want to do to fix this is optimize my load order. If anyone on these forums has any experience managing load orders, your advice is greatly appreciated. Well, I installed 4gb NV with the alternate loader, launched the game, and created the FalloutNV.gb file. But, when I tried to launch the game through it, I got a message saying I need an app to open the file. I tried to open it with internet explorer and when that didn't work I uninstalled and deleted all of my 4gb NV files, reinstalled them and repeated the same steps again, but now I can't create the FalloutNV.gb file again.
-
When I created the file, I got a message saying I needed an app to open it. Then I tried to open it with internet explorer which also didn't work. Would it work if I opened it with the Fallout NV launcher?
-
Do I then launch it through NVSE to get the 4gb version working? Because I tried using the 4gb launcher and I got the same message about NVSE not being detected.
-
Whenever I launch the game through the 4gb fallout New Vegas folder NVSE won't install. Is there a patch that I can download to fix this?

Pick four traits mod help

I'm having another issue with the New Vegas redesigned mod, specifically the load order. It and NVR recommended are causing issues with a lot of the NPC's in the game. Pick four traits mod help
nallik876 replied to nallik876's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Thanks -
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone here can help me with an issue I've been having with the pick four traits mod by Seviche. After I installed the mod and started a new game, I hear a ghoulish noise and the screen goes to black followed by what sounds like a feral ghoul screaming immediately after waking up in doc Mitchell's house. Even after I uninstalled and deleted the mod, the problem persists. This doesn't happen after uninstalling my mods, or even after installing certain ones like project Nevada.

Ideas for Fallout: New Vegas mods
nallik876 replied to nallik876's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I did that my first post too, but I just use line breaks (ie. just hit return) to organize my posts. Thanks for the tip. Anyway, what did you think of my ideas? -
Ideas for Fallout: New Vegas mods
nallik876 replied to nallik876's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
To any of you who are wondering about why the topic is condensed into one big block, it was originally had better spacing and organization; However has soon as I posted it everything condensed and became one giant paragraph. If anyone knows how to correct it please contact me.
