  1. Awesome! I'm pretty new to this modding thing though I've been a huge Bethesda guy for years. Once the main quest is fully playable (hopefully in less than two weeks) I'll figure out how to distribute! You guys are seriously the best community out there. I'm excited to get your feedback and hopefully put something out there that can really stick with people!
  2. HONEST HEARTS REBORN Watch the Teaser Trailer here: https://youtu.be/Sod619vcTXk Description: Despite its beautiful setting in Zion National Park and the incredible story of Joshua Graham, Honest Hearts has generally been regarded as more disappointing than successful. (I mean, you meet the most badass warrior in the wasteland then he asks you to go find walkie-talkies??) Honest Hearts Reborn is a canon-replacing story that tells a new story of Joshua Graham. When the Courier's caravan to New Canaan is hijacked in Zion by the Legion, the Courier is taken prisoner by a sadistic Legion commander named Livius, who forces the Courier to help him find the Burned Man. The Courier's journey will lead him to the highest cliff in Zion's, and to meet and influence the Burned Man himself. Features: - A DLC-length questline defined by character choice, written by award-winning playwright Ted S. Bushman (me) - 30-plus voiced NPCs voiced by an incredible cast of actors (my actor friends) - 3 new companions - a revamped, teeming Zion Canyon full of new factions including Livius' Legion, the Bloodstone Tribe, the Burned Ones, the Highlander Mutants, and the mysterious and faithful New Canaanites. - exactly what you want to be playing before Fallout 4 comes out Requirements: Fallout: New Vegas base game Honest Hearts Projected release is September 2015. Play testers wanted starting early July. Message with interest.
  3. Good people of New Vegas (and hopefully also morally ambiguous people)! There's nothing I really want from you guys. I think you're all amazing. A community like this is so impressive and wonderful. Loving the creativity and the respect y'all got, plus the know-how. I'm currently about 38% complete on an enormous mod that I've been working on for a few months now, which I hope will be a really satisfactory addition to your Vegas experience. I'm remaking Honest Hearts. Did it ever bother you that when you finally get to Zion, and you're going to finally meet Joshua Graham (easily one of the most badass characters of the Fallout universe) you walk into a cave, and the first thing he wants is for you to find walkie talkies? It bothered me. I wanted the story of Zion's to be full of mysteries and cool fights among the tribals and old campsites. I wanted to explore the New Canaanite culture, and influence Joshua Graham's choice to go back to the New Canaanites or to get revenge on Caesar. Honest Hearts had some of the most beautiful textures and characters of all of New Vegas, but I think with the limitations of DLC it didn't live up to what it could have been. I'm trying to change that. Honest Hearts 2 (or Honest Hearts Reborn, whatever) puts you in a compromising position when your caravan is attacked by Legion, and you as the only survivor are taken to a camp full of hundreds of Legion soldiers. There, you meet Livius, their leader, who makes you his pack mule and forces you to join his quest to find the Burned Man in exchange for your freedom. The journey that follows will bring you to get to know the tribes and history of Zion's, including the outcast raiders who have formed a religious cult around Joshua Graham, the New Canaanites who've started building a temple in the valley, and the many other mysterious individuals hiding out in the National Park. There will be at least a dozen playable quests, AT LEAST FORTY NPCs with conversations (as opposed to ONLY SEVEN in the original) three new companions including a Legionary hunter named Brutus, with a likely playtime of 6-9 hours. This is mainly a story mod, which will be completely voiced. I don't have a release date, of course, but will keep you guys posted about new stuff as I have it. Any encouragement or thoughts you have are great and super welcome (I've taken some inspiration already from the Honest Hearts expanded thread). I'm not a very experienced modder, but I'm going to put the best that I've got into it. Until then, here's a few teaser screenshots! (everything, of course, is subject to change) Keep truckin, y'all! 4. Cool. For anyone else with this problem, it got FIXED for me by uninstalling a WIndows Update done on 13/3/15. Thanks for your help!
  5. This is a follow-up on my previous post. For several days now the Quest Window on the GECK refuses to acknowledge the existence of dialogue topics or conditions. Despite me opening quests that are actually full of dialogue topics with conditions, no conditions or dialogue topics appear at all. And though I can right-click on the box and technically "Add a topic" it doesn't appear. It's not as if they're invisible either. Here is a screenshot So far I have tried several fixes: uninstalling a few supplementary new vegas programs, cleaning out the Fallout New Vegas source and data folders, trying it one billion times, and reinstalling New Vegas completely. Nothing has worked. So far I have seen no other posts dealing with this same issue, and am basically at my wit's end. Thanks for your help. JamesAfoat
  6. I've been creating a rather large story mod for some time, creating lots of dialogue topics and quests. This afternoon I tried to edit a conversation, but the topics no longer can be edited. Though I can go to the full list and "add" them to the list at the left of the screen, no topics appear in the left window. Have I overloaded it? Have I offended the gods of the geck? Here's a screenshot: As you can see, in the Info Bar I can see the lines of dialogue and conditions. Everything is there except the topics on the left. This basically cripples my ability to write dialogue (this goes without saying). Anyone experience this? Any recommendations? Thank you so much! Ted
