  1. Have you tried the Large Address Aware Enabler by NMC? I used to experience random freezes as well and I think it was down to all the new textures packs I used. After using this mod I have never had a single freeze. Hope this helps.
  2. If your still looking for it I finding it slightnly northeast of Enclave Drop Zone 1 and directy west of Enclave Camp 25 on a stool near a tree. Finally! Thanks alot.
  3. I think for supermutants you need to add the new weapons to thier form list (supermutantweapons) located in the miscellaneous section of the geck.
  4. Done it now, finally got gimp to work properly.
  5. I have very recently started using Nifskope to play around with meshes, and have spent hours reading and watching all the tutorials I can find. I am slowly getting into it and tried to create a custom armor. Nothing overly complicated (or so I thought) I just placed some arclight helmets on the shoulders of a metal armor suit. I created a new armor in geck and it showed up fine in the model view window, but in game the helmets are invisible. In a tutorial it said this can be down to not having checked a box for shadow flags, but I have done this with no luck. Please can anyone offer any advice?
  6. Just a texture would be okay, I thnk all you would need to do to replace all others would be to rename the texture and put it in the correct file path, I don't know the exact info off top of my head but its something like, textures - armor- raiderarmor02 - helmet02.dds
  7. Would anybody be able to retexture the raider arclight helmet to make it black, similar to the outcasts colour but without the red. I thought I would try to do it myself but I can't even get the required programs to work on my computer at the moment.

  9. The version of blender I downloaded is 2.71, will this not work? Also, what are those other things used for?
  10. What Programs would I need to alter existing meshes and textures? I have never tried anything like this before and thought it was time to give it a try. At the moment I have downloaded Blender and Nifskope, will these be sufficient, I am not looking to do anything really fancy just yet, maybe a few armor mashups and retextures. Thanks
  11. Hi, I have been working on my first mod for New Vegas and have added a few new buildings in unused spaces. However, when I test it out in game, the buildings I have placed only appear when I get close, as in much closer than existing buildings. So for example, if I am walking towards them, I can see the original buildings in the distance and then all of a sudden my ones will suddenly appear. The buildings in question are of the same type as the vanilla ones. Thanks

Not sure if it is a problem on my end, but looking at the interior for the sarsparilla HQ, it is just a mess, missing walls and floors etc. It is okay in game so I know its not a bad mod, but this just seems strange. The cell I was looking in was called SSHQ - Factory floor and I have also tried entering by clicking on the teleport marker in the world. Can anyone else confirm this?

Looking at the creatures in NVGeck, there are various versions for the creatures, for example: vspawntier1radscorpion vspawntier1radscorpion30 vspawntier1radscorpion50 I have been trying to find out about the significance of the numbers at the end but I can't find anything.   14. I have been replacing the textures of various creatures, however I can't get mirelurks to work. Looking at the textures in the bsa archive, there is mirelurk, hatchling and king. mirelurk.dds only seems to affect the hunters, and I have no idea what mirelurk hatchling is for. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
  15. I am trying to add some ground water to an interior cell, but one thing I have noticed is that there are no ripples when wading through it. I have added a water noise texture, extracted form the bsa (waterflowripplesnoise01) and have gone through all of the refraction/reflection stuff. Everything looks good and how it should be, gunshots make splashes,, I hear the right noise when walking through it, just no visible ripples. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  16. When using FWE, some Super Mutants sometimes spawn with either a Combat shotgun, or the P94 Plasma rifle, however they cannot actually use these weapons. Does anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks
  17. Have you heard of Fallout Wanderers Edition? It adds almost everything you wanted. You can adjust the damage, amount of player HP, radiation accumulation, carry weight, need medical braces to heal limbs, need to eat, drink, sleep...there is really too much to type. The best thing is, it is all fully customisable, so if you don't like some of the changes, you can put them back to original settings.
  18. Does anyone know if it is possible to stop the flashing sign on the Pulowski shelter? In the preview window I think it is listed as special idle, but can find no way to change this. I have also tried playing with the script, and am able to stop the light afterthe first interaction, but can't completely remove it. Thanks
  19. I recently came across exactly the same issue, my suggestion would be either a camp log from the static list, or the column form the basement, type basrmfree into the filter box.
  20. Do you know how the encounter zones factor into this? The base forms do not have respawn ticked, and the box is greyed out. When I untick the never reset button for the zone, they do respawn, but the respawn box in their base form is still not ticked.
  21. Is there a way to set it so that only certain enemies within a cell will respawn? As an example, in the metro tunnels, lvlghouls and lvlraiders are dotted about, however the encounter zone is set to never reset. If i uncheck that am i right in thinking they will now respawn? If so is it possible to set only the ghouls or vice versa? Thanks
  22. Ok, I am getting the hang of the geck now, uploaded a couple of mods and I am working on another. All of a sudden, I seem to have lost half of my object window. I can see the collapsable object tree, but the grid usuallly on the right that shows the editor id is just a blank white space so i cant select anything. Anyone know what ive done? Thanks
  23. I have the wanderers edition, and ironsights installed, however i dont really like the changes made to the laser rifle to enable sights. Is there a way to disable ironsights for just that weapon? Thanks
