  1. In response to post #64332691. Why the hell are you posting a dozen seperate comments mate? What is your thought process behind this monologue of yours?
  2. In response to post #55023428. #55028243, #55028883, #55030358, #55063573 are all replies on the same post. As a software developer, people like you really annoy me. You don't understand what software developers do and how much time and work goes into it, so when you make assumptions based on your ignorance then really, that's all on you. If you make choices based on those false assumptions that it wouldn't take long, then that's your own problem. Especially when it's free and you're not entitled to a damn thing.
  3. Thank you! Guess your google skills are better than mine because I legit couldn't find it. I googled for "Creating SKSE DLL" and stuff like that though. Not the word "plugin". Anyway, thanks!
  4. I've always been more of a coder than anything else when it comes to development. I always liked that you could add DLL's to SKSE, so I wanted to give it a try, but I can't for the life of me find how to achieve this. I know how to create a DLL, I know C++, etc. I just don't know where to start with SKSE, and can't find any documentation on this anywhere either. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great  Thanks!
  5. Oh, Totalbiscuit's internet is down. Podcast will be rescheduled. Welp. https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/593102671839625216
  6. As the title says, Gopher will be on the Cooptional Podcast today at 3PM Eastern (9PM CET for the Europeans like me). Totalbiscuit just tweeted this: https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/593074734918688769 Clearly the whole Skyrim paid mods thing will be a big subject. I watch both Gopher and the Cooptional podcast regularly so I'm pretty excited!
  7. I'm gone for a weekend so I'll donate to some of my favorite modders before saturday ;) Just to make sure this entire thing wasn't for nothing. Some call this a victory... I'm not sure that it is.
  8. I already donated 5 euros (or dollars, don't remember) to him a few days ago with a small message attached to it that said how he didn't deserve all the hatred he got. I just felt bad for him, and thought this was the perfect way of thanking him for his work.
  9. Well said. Thanks to all mod authors that made my Skyrim game so great! ^.^
  10. In response to post #24733144. #24733204, #24733229, #24747249 are all replies on the same post. @phantompally76 "That's on their conscience. Not ours" Seriously? How exactly is it on their conscious? They were bullied out of their dream - making mods for a living. How is that on their conscious?
  11. In response to post #24747119. #24747194, #24747629 are all replies on the same post. The world isn't just money. From the piece written by Bethesda you can clearly see this wasn't their intention. The 75% cut was clearly ridiculous, but they simply made a few (huge) mistakes. As Dark0ne said, if they would have written this before the release of paid modding, I'm sure it would have helped a ton.

I can't understand how someone could not agree with what FavoredSoul wrote here. The internet is a vile place, even on the Nexus sometimes. I've seen my fair share of hateful, entitled, demanding nonsense thrown at mod authors here on the Nexus. Clearly that happens. I'm not sure how you could disagree with that - it's a fact. As for mods being paid - I think most people were against the way Valve and Bethesda handled it, and also against the fact that already existing mods became paid. If there were only new mods on there, Valve and Bethesda had communicated this entire thing better, and the cut to the mod author was higher, I don't think there would have been an outrage like this. Now there are people who legitimately complained about mod authors "selling out". Screw those people. If mod authors want to get paid for some of their mods, sure. It's worked for other games. People put in a lot of work in a mod sometimes, so if they want to get paid 50 freaking cents or maybe even a dollar for it then why the hell not?
  13. This can go 2 ways: Either we get a lot more great mods because money is involved, or all the good mods will suddenly be behind a paywall. Or both. The Nexus already has a ton of drama regularly. I'm indeed not sure what would happen when there's money to be made too. Meh. We'll see. I think it's too early to say whether this is a good or bad thing. Could go either way.
  14. Good luck to anyone applying! Although I have to be honest - if you have a developer background, I doubt £18,000pa is going to get a lot of attention. That's not a lot for an ICT role.
  15. Hi there! So I use CBBE (Bodyslide 2.0) but downloaded Northgirl UNP too. I'm sure there is a CBBE conversion somewhere, but I simply wanted to see if this would work because it would make it a hell lot easier than searching for conversions every time. So I don't need a conversion. My question is: How do I change the body texture of Northgirl to a different texture? I tried the most obvious way: Go to the NIF file of the chest armor (both _0 and _1), go to the BSShaderTextureSet, and edit all the femalebody_0 and _1 references to femalebodyDG_0 and _1. I did this because I copied the Dreamgirl textures to that same folder and renamed them like that. I simply assumed that should work, but it seems I was mistaken. After starting the game, the textures have not changed at all. I doublechecked the NIF, and it saved the changes. I also doublechecked if the esp didn't override it with its own TextureSet. It didn't. Does Skyrim ignore these? I'm fairly handy when it comes to these things, and made some minor changes to esp's/meshes/textures like these very often to edit the game to my liking, but I can't figure this one out at all. Any help is welcome, please!
  16. It is already ordered by the date when the mod was last updated though. It's meant to easily see what mods have updated lately from the mods you use. I see your point though. I also use the tracking functionaly simply as a "Keep an eye on this" list.
  17. Right. I can't download mods half the time since yesterday. It says that no servers are available. Then half an hour later it's fine, but it's obviously a little inconvenient to wait half an hour.
