  1. I'm not looking for hair styles, I'm looking for hair colors. I have ApachiiSkyhair installed, and I can't get the hair color I'm after with it. I have to go through all those commands to get to it still. Far as I know, neither of the mods you listed do anything to give you access to more colors. Thanks for trying though. Edit: Ok, got the one I linked in the first post to work finally, and it has the color I'm after. Sorry for wasting a thread for this lol.
  2. Currently, my character uses a red color for her hair that comes from the Argonian race. So every time I make a new version of her, I have to open the showracemenu, change her to male, change her to argonian, change her hair color, then reverse the process. This is very tedious, and as I am totally addicted to adding, modifying, removing, and re-installing mods, I frequently make new clones of my character. I've done a cursory search on the site, but I must be missing something. I'm looking for a mod that just gives access to all the hair colors in the game (or hell, even adds some for all I care) to all the races, so I don't have to go through that tedious mess just to get the hair color I want. I'm sure I"m blind, and there are probably any number of them on here. But most of the ones I find are embedded in another mod, that adds stuff I'm not interested in or would overwrite another mod I already have installed. I found http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14713/?tab=2&navtag=/ajax/modimages/?user=0|:|id=14713 but for some reason, I can't get it to work.
  3. OMFG you are a god(dess)! That's it, thank you so much!
  4. A few installations ago, I had this awesome house mod for Skyrim. I can't for the life of me recall the name of it though! And what's worse, I can only remember one part of it. The bottom floor had like a garden, an archery target area, this ghostly looking dog or something wandering around, and a female NPC. The mod itself had areas that could auto-sort items into them; press a button, it would pull all the ingredients from your inventory and sort them into boxes. Same for weapons, armor, etc. There was also a 'cheat' area, where you could press buttons to change/set/gain your skills and abilities. I really, really enjoyed this house, and would like to find it again! I know it's a shot in the dark, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be totally AWESOME. (And totally sorry if I put this in the wrong forum section ><)
  5. Using the awesome NPC Editor posted here on the Nexus, quite a few revisions ago, I attempted to make Lydia an archer type. It worked fairly ok; she relied solely on her bow, but she rarely took any shots. But at least she wasn't running right into my line of fire anymore. I recently updated the NPC Editor, and the mod I'd originally created is apparently corrupted, and the Editor won't load it. So I had to start from scratch. After several pain-staking hours of trying to remember everything I did to her, I semi got it to work. She uses her bow, but that's the problem: ONLY her bow. Doesn't matter what bow I give her, she always reverts to that default wooden bow. And she still hardly fires at all. So, my question is, what exactly do I need to do to A) Turn her into an archer of doom, and B) make sure she will use the bow I give her? I originally had her set as something like cHumanMissile or the like.
  6. Firstly, I love your avatar pic :-) I'm currently using the Eisen armor myself, because it's basically what I'm after. Form fitting, shows some skin, but not too much. Attractive. I'd just like for someone to actually make the REST of the armor in the game more feminine. I understand that this isn't downtown tokyo or something, girls running around in skimpy outfits and whatnot. It's barbaric, gory, blah blah. I don't care. I can tell you, if I lived back then, I would NOT be fighting in huge bulky armor like that! I'd find/make armor that fits, allows the most amount of movement/dexterity, and of course, make it look nice :-) It's mostly that I want to see it on NPCs moreso than myself. I don't usually play in 3rd person, but it'd be nice to see my companions in better fitting gear, or the baddies I'm currently beating on. It's just an aesthetic thing. I'd be happy if the Dynasty or Eisen sets would randomly appear on NPCs, that would be awesome. But in the meantime, I'd love to see the armors that are currently in the vanilla version of the game get slenderized!
  7. I'm kinda getting tired of people releasing 'armor' sets for CBBE that really only have like an inch of skin covered. Boobs hanging out, crotch and ass out in the open. It's really disgusting, to tell you the truth. I'm sure people get their jollies off from it, more power to them. No, I'm not a prude. I am all for the ones that are tastefully done; I've downloaded several of them. Showing skin is one thing, walking around near naked while claiming to wear armor is something entirely different. Granted, admitting I use the CBBE mod should tell you I have nothing against nudity. All of my female plate-wearers in WoW are currently in plate bikinis :-P I really wish someone would just make some meshes for the major armor sets that actually fit well with the CBBE body. Don't strip the armor to almost nothing, no need to really add anything. Anyone who uses a body mod knows just how bulky the original armor sets are on females, it'd be really nice to see them get slimmed down. Again, nothing fancy required, just get rid of all the bulk! I really wish I knew what I was doing, else I'd do them myself. I've tried several times, both in Fallout 3 and in Skyrim now, to make meshes for armors, and have failed terribly. An artist I am not, unfortunately. I guess that's why I'm so annoyed at the XXX armor mods people seem to be doing; some of them have a real knack for this sort of stuff, and to me, it's getting wasted.
  8. I'm not using any Breezehome mods at all, and I have this issue. However, using the 'a2c94.enable' command that was listed in that enchanting table mod worked for me. She seems to be attached to Breezehome, which she isn't if you use the player.placeatme command. So all is well I guess, just really freaking annoying since I have no idea what's breaking it for me. About the only house type mod I have installed is the hillside mod, and I don't think that has anything to do with Lydia or Breezehome at all.
  9. That's just the thing. The COD3/MW3/whatever I was watching was on the 360, on a SDTV. Low def, and a console, and it still looked more stunning than Skyrim. The best thing skyrim has going for it is the lighting and shadows. I definitely don't see consoles doing as well as Skyrim does it. But all of the textures in Skyrim, which actually do look good from a distance, are actually really low res and terrible looking. It just really rubs me the wrong way that they can charge so much for such a shoddy looking game, and THEN expect the modding community to pick up where they left off. In other words, why pay someone to make wonderful graphics for their games, when the modding community will do it for free?
  10. Sorry, rant thread. I was just on here earlier, perusing the site to see what new mods had cropped up since the last time I checked. Then it hit me. About the ONLY mods out right now are graphical in nature; mostly, people upping the resolution on the shoddy graphics Skyrim shipped with. I facepalmed. Bethesda has been releasing their games in this condition for as long as I can remember. They ship them with crappy graphics, bugs they never intend to fix (or fix one, break 20 others, as is the case with the 1.02 patch!) and in general, just release a half-assed game. It's really getting depressing. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Skyrim. The story and gameplay are amazing. Except for all the bugs, and all the bad textures that really kill the immersion. So I come here every few days to see what else people have finally brought up to a respectable resolution. I've probably downloaded close to 2 GB of updated textures, and the creation kit isn't even out yet! It's kind of sad when multi-player games, which really need to focus on performance, look better than a single-player game. I was watching a friend play...MW3, or COD3, or whatever iteration those games are currently on, and my god, the graphics were amazing. Then I boot up Skyrim and have a heart attack. Is this really the craftsmanship we're to expect from such a monolithic gaming company? I really appreciate all the hard work the modders go through to make these upgraded texture mods. They look absolutely amazing. But the question arises, why the hell couldn't Bethesda do that in the FIRST PLACE? Oh that's right, because it's a freaking CONSOLE PORT. ><
  11. Considering it's entirely possible to 'block' with a 2H weapon or 2 1H weapons in real life, I really don't see why you can't do that in Skyrim. It really feels gimped. You can hold the weapons together in front of you to absorb a blow. Not as effective as a shield, sure, but it's still possible.
  12. I LOVED the dangerous waters mod for Oblivion! Giant freaking slaughterfish in the lakes and rivers! I was doing some exploring off the northern coast, putzing around in the water. It felt VERY empty, and VERY large...perfect for LARGE fish! Shark size, hell, even whale size. That would be totally freaking awesome! I'd imagine this isn't even remotely possible without the Toolset, but man, I would REALLY dig this.
  13. The way I did it was set my level to 1 with 'player.setlevel 1' in the console. Then I spam-leveled enchanting and smithing. Every time I leveled, I'd set it back to 1. This will net you far more perk points than you'd normally end up with. Then, just set your level back to whatever you were before, or level from 1 again, or set it to anything in between. Other than that, as far as I've found, there isn't a console command to add generic perk points. Only add in specific perks, and that's more effort than it's worth to me.
  14. That did it, thanks! I wonder why mine didn't work but my friend's did? So strange. Anyway, thanks for the help!
  15. My friend and I just got back from GameStop with out copies of Skyrim. I got the CE, he got the regular. We both installed them on our comps, then started DL'ing mods and whatnot. One of them mentioned something about going into "Data Files" and enabling the loading of loose files. I tried this, and the option was greyed out, but my friend said he was able to do so just fine. Why is my option not usable, and is there a way around this? An INI tweak or something? Both using legit copies of the game (For $150, you better believe I am!) and neither of us are using a crack. Both valid steam accounts, yadda yadda. For those too lazy to actually read the entire topic for the real answer http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4841706/1/?x=0#post661916 Edit By Bben46
  16. I don't know about anyone else, but I am TIRED of the way my female characters stand and move! The way their arms are kinda bowed out, the way they swing them when they walk, and the way they appear in the inventory screen. I've downloaded the 'real walk' mod, so walking animations are fine now, but standing/inventory/etc still drives me crazy! All hunched over and crap. I want to stand up, arms to the side like they should be, or at least SOMETHING better than what they currently do! I've looked at 'pose' mods, but it doesn't look like they do what I'm after. Just put your character in various (mostly sexual) positions. If there is already a mod that does this (I'd imagine it has something to do with re-posturing the skeleton) please point me in the right direction.
  17. If anything, it might be possible to make the character's sprite disappear from where it's currently standing, then reappear where it would land, making it 'appear' to have jumped off the screen. The question remains though, which weapon would it use? Far as I know, there are no spears in DA.
  18. That's exactly what I was referring to. We shouldn't HAVE to use outside help to make this game use more than 2GB of RAM. I seriously don't see why they haven't patched it themselves yet (other than the fact the game technically doesn't NEED it, but if you're going to support modding of your games, you better FULLY support it!)
  19. That's pretty much the boat I'm in. I lost the CD key to my original DA:O disc, so decided to just buy the UE version since I didn't have Awakenings either. I then got UE on steam as a gift. So freaking lame, I wish I'd known. Bioware seriously needs to FIX this on their own!
  20. I tried the FO3 way as well, and it errored out just like the CFF editor's version did. BTW, I'm running the steam version of the game, and this seems to be the problem.
  21. I've been looking for this info as well. Really crappy that we can't fix it.
  22. Has anyone been able to get this to work? That is, changing the Ultimate Edition to use more than 2 GB of RAM? I'm trying to use the JB texture mod, and everything works fine except most shields and various other items are solid black (meaning not enough memory.) I have 8 GB of RAM in my computer, it's kind of sad that I can't use it all.
  23. EXACTLY. It's not that we want to see a bunch of beautiful, gorgeous naked women (and men) running around because we don't feel like getting pr0n, it's because these games's engines are CRAP and very outdated on release. Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 have mods that completely restructure the way people are built, the way they stand, the way they carry weapons, etc. Why people even have to MAKE these mods really boggles my mind...I mean, if someone who wasn't involved in making the game can make the wonderful mods, why wasn't the game released like that in the FIRST damned place? Sure, nude mods aren't for everybody, but we should at least have the OPTION of seeing some T&A. Some people really enjoy that. I personally think that, to some extent, it adds a more realistic feel to the characters. Sure, I don't run around the entire game topless just to see boobs. But just to know that someone took the time to make sure those boobs are visible any time is nice. SOME of us don't run nude mods just because we like to >beep< off to our characters. I know it's hard to understand. And I agree...the female bodies in this game are atrocious. They're men with boobs, definitely. A lot of the armor (blood dragon anyone?) makes the females look extremely fat. If I wanted a fat character, I'm sure I'd eventually be able to download a mod for one.
  24. I think the exact same thing...they're just one big gang of people running around together. Some might say "well the others are back at camp"....ok, then where exactly IS this phantom camp? In theory, when you trekk off from your camp, you pack everything up and MOVE. You can't tell me that every time I 'go to camp' I'm going to the exact same geographical region without actually moving lol. So naturally, everyone is following with you, and you should be able to switch out the party members you want to currently control, while the rest just idly follow you!
  25. Just FYI (not sure if anyone else pointed this out yet) the .xml file is for uploading to your profile on the DA:O website. However, mine hasn't uploaded since I started the friggin' game...I'm not cheating, either, and yet my profile is still at level 1 in the starting gear >.>
